I can only comment about the Dollar Tree I shop at in this area, as I haven't been in any others and don't even know if they have a website.
Of all the discounts stores in this area, Dollar Tree is definitely #1.
First, the products all seem to be overstocks- not junk;
Second, the products are always kept clean and in good condition.
While it's true they charge for cash back, and don't give refunds, the only real problem I ever had was when a cashier put a partially-open bottle of dish detergent in a bag that had my new cellphone in it and destroyed the phone, and didn't take responsibility for it. But with that one mistake in all the years I've shopped there, I still prefer Dollar Tree over other local discount stores.

I understand why i was let go but you could have given me a probation period. To prove that I was worthy of my job. When i worked there i would get text messages yelling at me for their mess ups. I was the one everyone called when no one would come in. I worked a few times by myself in the store which is against policy. There is an assistant manager that needs to take a break because of their cancer. But cant because there are only two assistant managers. I had a cashier walk off the job which is fire worthy but she kept her job. Left the company but then was rehired and then fired. You had promoted a drug addict to assistant manager who slept in the office, but you kept him. There is a person that stole shelves, table, and other stuff but yet they still have their job. You have so much stuff going on at this one store. Right now there are signs asking for help for every position. They close the store early which means your loosing money. I did reapply because this store needs the help but you have denied my application. You guys fired me over two zip ties but i brought in a microwave for the back so employees could warm up their food, i bought a shelf for the balloons so there was more drawer space for them, there is a black cart that i brought in so it was easier to stock shelves, and a blue cart that you can put the mop bucket and cleaning supplies on which they still use. I know i'm not going to get my job back but i was a very loyal employee to the company. Customers still ask about me and still ask if i'm coming back. I'm about ready to say call Human Resources /corporate and complain.

I went to the Dollar Tree store in Crystal Lake, IL to do a return (wrapping paper, bows, and ribbons). Instead of issuing me a cash refund, cashier "Jamie" charged me for everything. I asked her "where is my cash?", she didn't really know what to do. Then the store manager came by and told me that they will only do exchanges for returned items. Why didn't Jamie tell me that? I told Jamie that she had a "duh" moment, and then both ladies told me to shut up. I have never in my life been treated so rude, and by BOTH women? What ever happened to "the customer is always right?" I think that Jamie should have been written up and warned, since she does not know her job.

If you ever have visited the dollar tree on Lee Rd in Orlando Florida then you already know how rude the store manager is. I am custoner and was appauld on a way the manager spoke to one her employess in front of custoners. She was very very rude and loud and said degrading things to her. There are times where I have gone in and she has had a short, bad attitude even with the customers. The employee was so embarrassed she didnt want to say anything but you can tell she was embarrassed. I would suggest if you shop at this store try to get in and get out. This manager is obviously unstable and untrained on communication with employess. I do not suggest working or shopping here.

The Dollar Tree in Geneseo, NY is not a pleasant place to shop! There are always boxes in the aisles, shelves that are not organized, dusty shelves, and the bathroom is disgusting most of the time! I wish something could be done to make this store a more pleasant place to shop! Most of the other Dollar Tree stores that I have been in within a 25 or 30 mile radius are cleaner, and have a much better selection of merchandise! I think this must be a problem with the manager... most of the time that is it. Please look into this for all of us shoppers in that area! Thank you!

Have been buying their Sweet Potato Chips for over a year. I was very happy with DT until my recent purchase and thought I was getting Alzheimer's. I phoned the number on the bag of chips to verify I wasn't imaging things... the package has gone from 5 oz. Down to 3 oz. - same exact package design/colors, same price, but that significantly increases "their" profit and REDUCES OUR VALUE, i. E., 40% less quantity! Since they decided to close the price gap, I will now pay the little bit extra and buy the much higher quality name brand at the regular grocery store.

This is a real dollar store! Everything is it dollar it's great hey! Until year ago I never looked at the price of anything that costs less than $100. Now that I've retired I look at the price of everything and at least 70% of the merchandise in dollar tree is an absolute great buy. They have one dollar steaks, Easter baskets, can openers battery pack etc. etc. I always start my search for the disposable items of life here, you should also..
