This store in Hawthorne Florida used to be an amazing store with good people who ran it now it's never stocked there's people going in and out and there are constantly overturning employees and here it is 6 o'clock on a Wednesday afternoon in the store is closed probably due to lack of staff, but this is ridiculous and I hate even having to go up there in this used to be my number one store to go to in the small town I live in if this doesn't start getting better peoples gonna stop going there as they already have and it's gonna end up closing the store down now this is BS because there's only one other grocery store to go to into town and y'all have a very good thing could be a very good thing it as a team so whoever is leading, this store is doing a poor job whoever's their manager is doing a poor job and whoever's. Their manager is doing a poor job as somebody who works in a similar type field and deals with similar situations this stuff comes from the top and works its way down from the store and works its way up. This is ridiculous, there is no reason that the store should be like this. You need to get some qualified managers in there and qualified in there and get it together. You have a good thing I want could be a good thing and you're slowly ruining it and I want everybody to know How it is how it was and how it is now because it's not fair to the people of this town if y'all ain't gonna do what y'all need to do close the doors and let somebody else do it because there's other places that would like to move in very very dissatisfied What's going on with this place get it together Dollar General

Some guy was asking for help to use the self-service check out and the employee was so rude saying everything about me.
The last item I bought was air wick they advertised as buy one get one free. The item was 6.25 but it took off 6.00 for the free item. You really have to watch it when you check out for the correct price as advertised. Sometimes the staff will say they cannot do anything so call corporate. It is very frustrating especially on the one day sale.
I literally spent $600 a month at my Dollar General and every time I go I cannot use my digital coupons every single time I have issues still haven't saved a dollar since I started so therefore I'm not using digital coupons anymore and I will be spending my money elsewhere, which will be Walmart $600 a month is a lot of money and I probably spend more than that. To be honest. Not happy about the coupon thing. Specially, stupid digital I like the paper coupons so much better.
Alot of items ring up different than what the price reflects...at DG Mt Sterling cashier was by wife item rang up wrong price he stated he couldn't change it not very good way to treat people
Beware of shopping at the Buckner location. Employees are very rude. Espically the general manager and assistant manager.
I refuse to go back to this location after being personally attacked by their employee and the general manager felt this was appropriate.

Dollar GEneral in Dunedin recently added self checkout and added produce. (Old brown bananas). I have shopped there for 5 years. After yesterday no more. Self cashiers did not work a d staff was rude. Long line and no one cared.

The manager the one with dreads always outside smoking and talking all she does is smoke and talk and the guy in the back with dreads sells marijuana and walks around the store with a gun! Your store at 1308 S Madison St. Muncie, Indiana ******* is the filthiest, most cluttered store I've ever been in! The floors do not look like they have ever been cleaned, the aisles are almost impassable because of merchandise lying in them. The shelves are dirty and very untidy. The parking lot has trash everywhere. The last time I was in the store I mentioned it to the clerk. Her idea of clean is polar opposite of mine. I understand customers can be very rude and destructive. However, it's the job of the employees and managers to keep their stores in order.

Hi, i wanted to say that the manager (James) at that store is awesome. He goes above and beyond to assist his customers. Most of the time it's just him in the store because people just don't eant to work or they want to steal from the store. Being that he is a one man show it's nice to say it has never affected his personality which is nice to see from a customers point of view. Today, I went to his store because the first one I went to would not give me the BO get one for 50% off. They said I should be happy enough that the price has gone down so they refused to give me the BO get 1 for 50% off. Thank you James for following the D.G. Ad. Anazing customer service!
I was at a Dollar General in Glen St. Mary, Florida and was treated rudely and insulted by the manager after asking if the Christmas Wooden Soldiers were on discount as the sign read 50% off. She appeared to be in a bad mood initially and accused me of being argumentative with the cashier. I had asked initially and was told the discount would show up on the receipt which it did not. I inquired twice and was told that these were not Christmas Ornaments and were not on sale. The manager assumed I spoke Spanish and angrily tried to explain it. I told her to speak to me in English as I am an American and veteran and didn't appreciate her attitude towards me and my wife. I definitely will not be returning to this store again to be mistreated. What happened to "the customer is always right "? No respect from these folks at this store. Recommend you be careful with this staff
I went to use the restroom Saturday and they gladly let me but today on Sunday two old worker refused me for no reason at all. They said the bathroom was broken, but it was not it worked fine. 0/10 would not recommend!
I want to let everyone that was faithful to us at Dollar General in Hyannis ma, that over the last ten months it's been a pleasure to have served you but it looks like me and four others will not be needed by DG… Ty who was our mgr and built up a team that has taken that store from extreme difficult times and conditions, and making it the number two store out of 18 in sales, etc, got 5 of us rewarded by having our hours cut. All of us went from working 5 days to 3 days. And the new mgr is bringing people in to cover shifts from other stores. He never asked if we were okay with our hours or needed more, he just cut them and their is no justification for bringing in others when he had a staff there. This is the thanks we all got for busting our chops over the last 10 months. They waited till it was second and then they came head hunting. We never saw this coming and it has caused 5 families financial hardship. And for those that don't know, they can send you and order you to work where ever they feel they need you and you could end up traveling an hour or more. What they did was as nasty as any company could do to a bunch of people that liked the store we rebuilt and got great reviews from the community.

Sean at DG in Morristown NY was on duty on 10/22/23 when I came in desperately looking for a car fob battery. He knew just what I needed. He showed me how to open my fob and sold me the batteries needed. He set it up for me. So kind. So helpful.
I am grateful for people like him who happily assisted me in getting my car back on the road. Triple AAA wouldn't even come to me but suggested I go to DG to buy a battery for my fob which I never knew it had. Great service. Thank you
Purchased sale items. Was not given sale price. Cashier left the store to smoke in his car before I could even check my receipt. I know because he was sitting in it as I was parked beside it! I came back a few days later to ask my my refund, and was happy to see the same cashier. He was not happy and said it was not him, and I said I remembered him and it was. His response was, " well to you people, we all look the same anyway". I was flabbergasted!. Needless to say, I asked about the refund and he had to call someone, and even then it was not what I paid in the first place, even with my receipt! J have hade enough of this store. I will NEVER go back. Other locations laugh at this one, and always make fun of the things people tell them about how this store is run. I find it disgusting and will never set foot in that filthy place again. The are coooked and mean. I hope they shut the doors.
I went in and they have prices quoted and stuff hung up with other prices quoted and when you get to the register, it's a completely different price, obviously more which is super unscrupulous. I tried to confront the staff members and of course they cannot do anything because it's a corporate issue. I plan on making a complaint to corporate.
Answer: Most of it comes down to the iron fisted payroll. Like 40 asm hours for 2 full time employees. How do you give your asm 20 hours and call that ft!
