The dollar general in Elizabeth Illinois used to have excellent customer service but that is no longer the case with my last visit. The employee was rude and detached. It also seems they are carrying less and less products as well.
I don't know who the new manger is for the store in Longview NC. They are not doing a good job store is always dirt and you can't get to stuff that you need because carts or boxes sat everywhere in the store. If you asked for help to move them to get it there are rude to you. I will never go back there i will go somewhere else.
Love shopping here because you can't find most of the great items in other stores. And how can you be more pleased with the price? It is very affordable
Mold found in 24 pack of diet pepsi 12 oz cans from dollar General in Alden, NY *******. Pepsico now has it and they tested it... they stated a can of pop did not open inside the packaging BUT that food somehow slipped threw the handle of the packaging during delivery/shipping or at store and that it was been there a while...
I ended up in the emergency room on 4/13/19 with severe asthma exacerbation and was put out of work for 2 weeks while struggled to breathe due to the mold i was exposed to in 24 pack of diet pepsi sold at dollar general in Alden, NY

I stopped in Dollar General on Belcher Rd in Dunedin frequently. I have had several different people working the registers I have never ran into 1 that was rude or inpatient. They've actually made it fun checking out wish their witty personalities cracking jokes just all-around fun. I purchased 1 item not realizing how many instead of putting them together I had items in between it ended up I had over 25 of the same one dollar items. It was the end of the day I was tired cranky and she came out with some funny comment we both just started laughing as dumb as that sounds it got me through the rest of my day laughing. So I want to thank you for making the rest of my day a good one. I definitely would have given a 5 star the only reason I didn't is I really think you could do a little better organizing shelves.

Yesterday (3. 25. 19) I went into the Dollar General store in Plymouth to find nasal decongestant spray. I found your brand of Afrin ( DG No Drip Nasal Pump Mist).
Once I got into my car I put the recommended two squirts into my nose and instantly the pain I felt was extreme. There was instant severe burning in my nostril, my eye went blurry, watery and also felt like it was burning. Shortly there after I felt extreme burning in the back of my throat, pain in my ear and in my head. I also had pain in my gums and my teeth hurt.
I thought I was just having a bad reaction and this would pass but this did not pass and I was in extreme pain for the rest of the night. I finally had to take a sleep aide in hopes I could get some rest. I finally did so and woke up this morning and the pain had subsided.
Needless to say, I did a bunch of searches last night on this spray etc and it worries me to know that I am not the only one to have these same exact reactions to your product! This is very alarming to me and very unsettling that this has been reported again and again but it continues to still be on the market without any warning that all that I experienced could be a side effect. You even state children of 6 years can use this!
I would like to know what can be done to make others alerted to this? What can be done about your product? I would also like a refund sent to me for this product.

Made an order at Dollar General's online store. Order arrived in one of those cheap car board boxes that come out of China and it had ripped open in several places. Opened the box and there was no protective padding of any kind. Everything just thrown in. A bottle of laundry detergent had a busted top and had leaked out. The plastic bag it was in was not sealed so it got out and ruined some food items. Also an item missing that probably fell out. This was our second order. The 1st never showed up. We eventually got an e-mail that it was cancelled without explanation. These people don't hold a candle to Walmart. Never again.

Trashy nasty stores these 2 to name 2. I've asked the manager 3/5 times to order more Broadway stuff, more Women's hair accessories/ perfumes, but no same old stuff...(Climax store NC) they need more help. Come on don't stop doing what made your successful in the first place :( The older white lady in RAMSEUR NC cussed while talking to me, I stood at counter 10 minutes, I went to ask her nicely which counter was open? She huffed and puffed and came to register, she said I dont sit on my As-, like Most People, I just couldn't speak, she was so rude.

The Nauvoo Store was closed on Wednesday 1-30-19. I seen over 25 vehicles trying to go to the store plus a Fed-Ex truck trying to make a delivery. It's hard to support a store when the manager does NOT care about the people. Time for a new manager please.
They never have their shelves stocked. They have horrible csr. They garbages are overflowing into the parking lots. They never shovel the walk ways. I've never seen them mop. They leave carts of product everywhere
I always ho to dollar general. Prices and deals and clearance. Thats my thing. Had an issue with one store store in ft worth tx and omar got on top of it. I think the way you carry out your situation to corporate they listen and respond. Doesnt help getting irrate. Thank you omar, and store manager in ft worth is very friendly.store *******. She is very helpful and actually smiles and says hello.
I went the store in Pisgah Forest, NC the other day and the management and staff were exceptionally helpful and very kind. This store is quite a bit nicer and cleaner than the other Dollar Generals in this area. Wonderful experience and would go out of my way to return to that specific store because of it.
The search function on this site is the worst I have ever seen. Enter a search term and as much as 95% of the returns products are not related at all to the product entered for a search. Example I searched for night lights and the first page of returned item for sale was feminine napkins. Not even close to a night light.
Your a dollar store, your toys are already priced higher than they are worth for the quality. Why in the world are you offering only a buy one get one 75 off when everywhere else is offering deals on tv's? You are ridiculous!
Several months back my vehicle was damaged due to a large pothole in the local Dollar General parking lot. After notifying Dollar General I was asked by the district manager to go to the store and file an incident report. After doing that I was contacted about a week later by someone from risk management. He had me explain what happened and promised to get back to me, which he did not. I attempted to call multiple times and left several voice mails without a response. Only after using a different phone number to call from did he answer, at which point he instructed me to get some estimates of the damage. I went to two shops and paid $60.00 for the estimates, which I then sent to him. After about a week I received a form letter telling me my claim was denied. I tried to contact him once again only to be ignored. I write Dollar General via their website only to be told they valued me as a customer and would respond within 24 hours. Needless to say that never happened. At one point I was given the response that they would forward my complaint to the risk management department, the department I was complaining about. Now either there is only two or three people who actually work at their corporate office or they just simply don't want to accept responsibility for anything that may cost them some money. Since this has happened I continue to contact them, continually being ignored, and have spoke with former Dollar General employees (including one former store manager) who have confirmed the company will not do anything. A local TV reporter I spoke with called Dollar General a cancer on the environment, a company ran by greed and the desire to put other Dollar stores out of business. I am attaching pictures, the first taken the same day my car was damaged, the second after they decided to block off the area. My wishes are to have at least one or two people read this and refuse to shop there, and to have the word spread that there are much better companies to do business with. Avoid these stores at all costs, they do not care about you, only your checkbook.
You guys put your workers through to much for that little pay. Everytime you turn around little test for training. You all need to give them some more money and hours. It's really sad. Part time workers only get 4 or 5 hours for two days. How do you think they are suppose to survive.
Dollar General use to be a nice business. Nowadays they are poorly stocked, some aisles look like you've enter an indoor flea market. The digital coupons wont download. Calls to customer service falls upon deaf ears. They announced they were opening 900 additional stores this year. I'm wondering if they are growing too fast and cannot keep up with the demand. Many stores and poor customer service is a fast track to failure.
I travel slot with my job. I go to many of the Dollar General Stores. What I have found out is slot of your items are almost or out of date. I have bought coffee that is old I had to make another trip to the Dollar General to get a refund. I bought Advil that was almost a year out of date. But I didn't check the date until I was almost finished with the bottle. I spend my hard earned money on these items and I expect good product. Why do you sell so much stuff out of date. I just bought coffee creamer and both bottles are almost out of date. Best if used by Oct. 2018.
The staff is great the store is clean and variety is great. I really don't have to look for anything I just ask and they show me. I am looking forward to shopping in their new store in mid September.
Answer: Most of it comes down to the iron fisted payroll. Like 40 asm hours for 2 full time employees. How do you give your asm 20 hours and call that ft!
