They talk to you so sweetly when they w
Ant to keep you in the service and then when you tell them you no longer need the service they get sour and the waiting time takes a whole day looooong waiting times
My husband and I have been with Dish Network since 2003, and not at anytime has Dish Network lowered there prices to help all of us when the Covid has first started and people got laid off... Dish continued to charge there high $#*! prices. I have never had to call Dish about not being able to pay our bill until this year 2022 because our bank account had received fraud, so my bank put a restriction are a bank account where I couldn't pull money out or put money into it so I called you to let them know that my payment was going to be a little late and they had the gall to have to charge me $15 to keep my damn service on for another day so then I paid the bill and then no big hurry to pull the payment but they charged me $15 on top of the freaky outrageous amount that I pay every damn month of $191.00 I am seriously going to find another source of cable and Dish Network can go to straight HELL AND shove their high prices up their $#*!. The lady at Dish never said she was sorry to hear that I had fraud on our bank account and NEVER once offered to waive the fee to keep our overpaid cable on, Instead I was offered to pay 15.00 knowing I could pay my bill Wednesday, but of course they still charged 15.00. This cable company sucks and they certainly don't go out of there way to thank us customers whom have been with them for many, many years, but the new customers get all the great deals and better prices. Dish Network
Had Dish Network for the mandatory two years under a new $69.00 contract. At the end, we realized that we were paying for more channels than what we needed or watched. Drop down to a new plan for about $50.00 a month. Not happy with the service we were getting and canceled altogether. Now Dish has placed us in collections for $260 claiming we owed this amount for cancelling within the 2 years of our new service. This particular obligation was never presented to us at the time of the reduced service and, try as I might, I can't find anything online that supports this, only the mandatory 2 years for new accounts. To make matters worse, we were sent notices to reinstate our service with a follow up letter stating that what we had was no longer available and that all they could offer was a plan that was about $30.00 a month more. They still had their $69.00 plan for new and EXISTING customers, but after 2 calls to service reps, they refused to put us on it. Dish is not in the habit of working with customers. They would rather turn you into collections and screw with your credit rating. They've already been warned that if they continue this approach I have little choice but to pursue them in small claims and they can send someone to Fresno to provide a defense. It's not advisable to f++k with an old retired guy with too much time on his hands. Cause of action, fraud, false advertising and frivolous threats.
When I chatted with dish. It was $100 for what I wanted. When I called in to make the change it was $150. Calling in says Chat is wrong. Then when I chatted they said they DON'T have that information. What a crock. I have the chat in writing. I would not recommend dish. Just need my contract to expire.
They promised the world and delivered crap! This POS will go down and go down. 4-5 times a day and at least 3-4 times a night. This whole process takes at least 10 - 15 minutes. We end up having to reset this POS 4 - 10 times a day… if your trying to watch something. Forget it! Oh and we were promised a $200 gift card for switching. It's been over a year and not a damn thing. Except raising our rate. Which we were "locked in " at certain price for 2 years! Bottom line is stay away for Dish! Direct TV may cost a little extra. But the problems are rare. This company needs to hit the road. THEY SUCK!
I jad been a customer of Dish for 16+ years. In April my receiver had to be replaced and clearly and repeatedly stated that I could not afford an increase. Well, it increased after I was forced to get the Hopper system. This system did NOT provide the same service as the one I had used for all those years.
Shortly after the system was installed I came down with Covid. I have other health issues and Covid was very hard on me. I ended up with Covid heart, which will keep me from going back to work, So I am on a very limited income.
I called and cancelled the service. Within two weeks I received a bill for $450 for "early" cancelation, I called customer service and was told by three different CS reps that my account would be credited after they received their equipment. I got the shipping label and sent it all back. I even got emails stating they received it,
In the mean time they placed a $400 charge on the credit card that was required to have the service. I called and was told again that in 7 to 10 business days, that account would be credited.
They was 3 months ago and I have lost count of how many phone calls to CS. Still no credit. Today I got another bill for $30.55.
I would NEVER get this service again and highly recommend that if you are thinking of obtaining Dish service that you look at other services
I have been with Dish for years and just recently I had not been able to use Dish for like 3 weeks due to an issue with connection. Well when I called Dish for a credit for not being able to use the service, I was told " We can only give you 14 dollar credit" ( a slap in the face) I am telling everyone Do Not Use Dish If they treated me like this they will do you too. Bye Dish
So I called them 2x to return equipment that was left in the house we bought the last time I told them if they did not get return info to me I would put their equipment into trash all I got was we understand horrible people to deal with
Check on your elderly family members and friends and ensure DISH isn't robbing them and threatening them like they did to my elderly family member. I have never experienced more repulsive behavior from the representatives of any service company as has been displayed by the representatives of DISH Network whose service was not installed in my elderly family member's home and yet they continued to automatically withdraw $320.00 per month even after they were notified multiple times that the service was not connected. Disgusting behavior by phone reps raising their voices and insisting she signed a contract for 36 months and she would have to pay. What kind of pigs con the elderly? DISH Network, that's who.
Do business with any other company and stay away from DISH.
Dish has failed to negotiate a contract with Disney for espn and other channels. They are putting blame on Disney. I pay dish network for these channels it is their responsibility to deliver. They knew the date the contract ended when they signed it should have already gotten this resolved. Instead the playing the blame game
Dish had terrible service. After 3 years they still haven't ever fully installed the satellite receiver. Went up on the prices once a year and charged me with any extra month after I ended my service then sent me to collections when I didn't pay a bill I didn't know I had!
Subscribing to dish was a mistake don't do it!
Gave one star because the scale doesn't go negative!
So I was super excited about finally getting dish installed i've been wating for about a month since nothing was available in my area the day finally came I was scheduled to get it installed from 12-5 I took time off from my work since someone over 18 needs to be present well right at 1230 the TECH called saying they could not install because he forgot the "DISH and didn't have one in his vehicle how on earth do you forget what you are installing how I can't get to get that tebeo ugh my head then said I will call u if I find one in the unit we have near by so he calls at 330 saying no we can't go out to put it on but if u call we can schedule you in on Saturday 3 days later so I did that the people I spoke over the phone said no that only available slot they had was a week away on a week day when I would have to miss work AGAIN so inconvient how come they coulnt acomódate me for Saturday if it was there mistake to begin with plus rude on the phone so I ended up switching to Direct tv and it was the best thing ever and didn't even have to pay nothing up front plus getting a 130 dollar rebate card dish is the worst company ever I will never or recommend anyone here they made me miss work and the tech guy obviously didn't know what he was installing because he didn't even have it with him how? The only person that was great was the person who disconnected the services if they would've just gave me a slot on a day I could without missing work it would've been fine it wosent even my fault then had to miss another day for the techs mistake
Worse company ever. Channel lineup is useless unless you like reality, cooking, shopping, foreign shows, gay shows, etc. Price creeps up, service isn't free and almost noon existent. Usually talk to Pakistan. Just a third world company
Tried to cancel my account to go to streaming and was treated like a idiot child who was ignorant of what I was trying to do. The operator refused to cancel my account only to end up canceling it within minutes of me hanging up on him. And then trying to make my bill reflect that I still owe money when I have been on auto draft for 4 years and paid up until the 13th of next month. Completely unprofessional, unfriendly, and almost $200 for the basic channels and Encore movie channels. Yes, over $170 for that.
There always down n net runs crappy. They fixed it yesterday n its out today. How $#*!ty.Not worth the money.
We were loyal Dish Network customers for many years, but we noticed that new customers were getting better more advanced equipment with lower rates. We spoke with their retention department and that if we wanted the most up to date equipment that we would be paying twice what we were paying at the time. So we elected to cancel our service. We asked them where we could drop off their equipment and they said since our equipment was so old that they did not want it returned to them, but we could take it to Best Buy and they would recycle the items. We did just that. Now fast forward to today. We called to re-establish service with them to take advantage of their special offers, plus, we were unhappy with our current provider. The Dish Network representative checked our old account and history and said we would not be considered for a returning customer since we never returned our equipment to them 2 years ago! WOW! Not only did they not want to retain us as customers, but now they don't want us back. Think TWICE before signing up with these YO-YO's
After being a customer for 18 years and not having anything good to watch for years and the prices sky rocketing I decided to drop this joke of an outfit. So I called the and I was put on hold twice for a half hour each time completely torched me off and then treated like I was a dip$#*! for canceling. Then they want to charge $15 to return their equipment and I get my final bill and they are charging me for a bundle package that I had canceled two months before. Then I call and they just throw things out and try to confuse you. Completely unsatisfied and would recommend that everyone stays far away from this company! NOT WORTH IT AT ALL!
Signal down several times a week. Website states reliable signal or money back. What a joke. Seven years without any reliable option. Hopefully we get cable lines laid soon out here and can make the change. They charge a fortune for this horrible system. Gone soon I hope.
I have been a customer for almost 6 years, I have the service call contract, that states if I have a problem that it's no charge to me (even though I pay for it every month)…. Soooooo, I've been having a problem with pixelated TV for sometime. I get a technician to my house today, tells me my equipment is not working right. There is nothing he can do for it as I have to sign a another two-year contract?!. Then I called this customer support three different times, finally found somebody I could understand their speaking language. They tell me along with the other two people that there's no way I should've encountered this problem because I have the service contract. What does it take to get good customer service these days? It would be on me to pay for it…, they couldn't change my faulty equipment after five years seven months of service to keep me happy? Just not sure I can do this anymore! Dish please give your customers, what you said you've give them for signing up with you. I would have added the photo of the way my screen looks 75% of the time, but they would not let me upload it. Go figure. Tried to upload the video but it was not long enough! This $#*! happens every 3 too 4 minutes while watching tv. They won't even offer me a discounted rate unless I sign another 2 year deal! I'm just done
We have been with Dish for well over 10yrs. They used to provide good service and even better customer service. Not anymore. They treat their loyal customers like crap especially if you signed the 24 month commitment to get the lower price on their already overpriced services. Funny you would think if the customers were happy with their service you wouldnt have to bind them to a contract. But that being said we are looking to dump DISH in the next couple weeks. We are actively looking for a better service for the channels we watch. DONT SIGN UP WITH DISH, YOU WILL REGRET IT! KEEP LOOKING THEY HAVE GONE DOWNHILL IN SO MANY WAYS! Buh Bye Dish!
Answer: Because it sounds great to have 1200 channels even if 1195 channels are nothing but infomercials, most people like me think wow I will have so many movies to watch I might have to record 5 while I watch 1 but after you get your 1200 channels you realize most every movie you would like to see can only be viewed if you pay an extra rental fee, another huge disadvantage to satellite tv is the frequency of commercials and the time the commercials are shown, regular tv used to be a 2 minute commercial break, dish network and directv have over 5 minute commercial breaks
Answer: Yes ive been with them for 15 years and when i said this is ridiculous the guy said 'OK' and nothing more they are terrible
Answer: They bait and switch with their supposed DVR recording option that they change to On Demand, making it impossible for you to watch what you thought you recorded.
