I am so fed up with Dish due to no customer service at all even the chat line isn't a valid way to reach them. I havent had service for 2 days.
They don't answer any of the numbers listed and the recording told me I have multiple accounts which I only have one. Finally my only recourse is to cancel auto pay through my bank and dispute the last payment I paid. I can't even reach a number to cancel. Guess I will hear from them now demanding money. Good luck with that Dish.
DISH network was at onetime an admired business, that is no longer the case. Once you sign the contract for their services you are in for a roller coaster ride, going down! DISH network will delete major local stations, like CBS for long periods of time with little or no warning. Their favorite ploy is block the feed from stations that run the most popular sporting events, especially at playoff and finals competition.
The thing that bothers me most is DISH will cut your programing with no offer to reduce the amount you pay monthly. When you try to reach a live person to speak to, you may have to wait for an hour or even longer (if you can reach anyone at all).
I live in rural Washington State on the Olympic Peninsula. There are very few options beyond satellite service for television and wifi connectivity where I reside. I've been a customer of DISH network for over 9 years, yet they treat me as they would any of their newest signups for their services. I am sick and tired of the games they play with the people that shell out our hard earned pay month after month.
I warn you now, go elsewhere for your home television and wifi needs
I will start off by saying I am aware that DISH Network was hacked recently. The service and treatment to follow is beyond belief. I have been with DISH for 11 years. When the attack occurred, customers were told their service would not be interrupted. Well that was not correct. My service was, in fact, shut off during the period of time we were assured it would not be. I could not go online to pay my bill because I had to have an account number to do so. Their troubleshooting fact page said, account number is on your paper copy which I have not had for years. I called several times to pay my bill and when calling got a message that said, call volume too high right now, call back later and would hang up. I was finally able to get in line and sat on hold for 2 hours. The agent offered to take my payment over the phone and when giving me my balance, I was charged a $10 late fee...for something that was not in my control. Rather than deducting it and restoring my service, I was told they would credit me next month.
Yesterday, a sunny, clear, no wind day, I had a message on my tv that said "complete signal loss". I unplugged as they suggest in their troubleshooting video only to end up with a black screen. No tv. I attempted unsuccessfully to troubleshoot. That brings me to today 3/23/23, I attempted every problem solving step outlined in the DISH YouTube videos. Dish not obstructed, receiver is plugged in, cable is screwed in tight, even unscrewed and screwed back in to be sure, unplugged waited 10 seconds and plugged back in. Still a black screen. Unplugged several more times and waited 60 seconds, 5 minutes. No change.
I decided to try the chat feature. After an 1.5 hour wait, i was connected to someone who asked me to troubleshoot the steps I had already completed, however complied in an attempt to resolve the issue. At the end of troubleshooting, I was told I needed a tech to come look at my system. The representative could not give me a timeline of when the tech would be out to resolve the issue. I expressed concern about paying for a service I did not have. I was told I could contact DISH and they would credit me days I am without service but cannot give me an idea of how long I will be without service. I was told I could not cancel my service with said representative but would need to call DISH, which either does not take calls or has a significantly long wait time. We ended with the representative telling me I could go online and access their most common troubleshooting YouTube videos, to which I shared, I had already done that and completed again during our chat. No tv and no timeline of when it might be restored.
Have tried for weeks to resolve hopper problems, dish anywhere, my Vip211 account, billing errors.
There response is they cant do that right now. To call back in 7 days.
I have been on hold for dish for approx 4 hours total only to be told they do not have that capability at this time.
Received no notice of there problems until I called. I am tired of the runaround I am getting. While on hold just given all the ways to fix problems but no mention that their agent can not even fix a lot of stuff. Not even a agent saying that all will be resolved once they get things up and running. Just to call back in a week. No more by this memo i ask dish to contact me to fix my account. I been on phone over one hour and still no answer and I have paid my bill on time amd everthing I don't recommend them at all
Their guy went out of his way to be nasty. He did this several times. After not making the equipment work properly I threw him out of my house for his own good.
And what about the discounts I was promised? I have been told a number of times they would call me to correct that. So what did they do? Shut down my service before the bill was even due. Still waiting for that return call!
Very shady company all the representative telling you different story they charging you extra always And when you want to talk to Manager they say they cannot transfer you there is no manager available to talk to٫So when you overcharge you must pay otherwise you don't have no other option funny right worst customer service you don't want to get dish
Dish Network as almost everybody knows has been hacked. Therefore they have no way of stopping Auto pays that were already canceled prior. And no way to refund the illegal and unauthorized auto pay. Trevor in the loyalty department and Jill in the loyalty department both lied to me and told me my money would be refunded. My husband of 36 yrs passed away March 1st 2023 and they took an auto pay that was not authorized out of my account which we shared after he passed away and after auto pay was canceled and switched to paper bill. My husband was the sole account holder and they took money out of my account and have yet to refund it. I will never ever do business with people who do not keep their promise and do dirty business.
If I did not have to select one star I would select -0 dish sucks!
Dish has been compromised for a couple of months! Told me they were trying to fix the issue for weeks now my information was stolen as well as thousands and thousands of their customers they are doing nothing about this! Will not answer the phone and continue to double bill! They are double billing they will not answer the phone!
I get people that do not speak English and hang up on me and I continue to be double billed this is ridiculous! Do not do business with dish!
DISH CUSTOMER SERVICES IS POORLY TRAINED AND THEY ARE RUDE FOR LEAVING ON THE PHONE FOR TWO OR MORE HOURS WITH NO ISSUES RESOLVED SND NEVER RETURNING TO THE PHONE TO ADDRESS ISSUES. SO AFTER WEEKS OF TRYING TO CONTACT THEM I RECEIVED A BILL FOR A VERY LARGE SUM AND MY SERVICES AND EQUIPMENT HAS BEEN DOWN FOR AT LEAST 30 DAYS OR MORE. THESE THIEVES ARE CHARGING ME FOR SERVICES AND THE CABLE AND EQUIPMENT HAS BEEN DOWN, THE CUSTOMER SERVICES REP SAYS THAT THEY DONT HAVE ACCESS TO ANY OF THE FILES NOR CAN THEY DO ANY TROUBLE SHOOTING NOR SEND OUT A TECHNICAL TEAM TO MAKE REPAIRS BECAUSE THEY DONT HAVE CONTROL OVER ANYTHING AND THAT I SHOULD PAY THEM THE MONEY ON THE BILL THAT I CLEARLY DO NOT OWE BECAUSE I HAVENT HAD SERVICES IN OVER A MONTH NOW AND THEY SAID CHECK ON THE WEBSITE WEEKLY TO SEE IF WE ARE BACK UP AND RUNNING QUOTE " THAT ALL IM ABLE TO TELL YOU " HOW IN HEAVENS NAME ARE THESE TECHS BEING TRAIND TO STEAL FROM CUSTOMERS. THIS DISH NETWORK THING HAS BEEN A HASTLE THE ENTIRETY LENTH OF US SUBSCRIBING. THEY HAVE TO COME OUT EVERY THREE MONTHS TO REPLACE, REBOOT, OR RESET THE FRAGILE UNRELIABLE SYSTEM THEY SUPPLY AND CHARGE YOU FOR, BUT NEVER PRORATE YOUR BILL FOR THE TIME YOU COULDN'T WATCH YOUR TV. IM SO TIRED OF ALL THE THEFT BEING COMMITTED BY ALL THESE COMPANIES. DISH ALONG WITH ALL THE OTHERS ARE ROBBING CITIZENS JUST LIKE THE GROCERY STORES SELL BAD FOOD. I WANT YOU DISH NET TO REFUND MY MONEY AND COME GATHER ALL YOUR PRODUCTS FROM MY PROPERTY AND NEVER EVER COME ONTO NOR SEND YOUR FLIERS OR BILLS TO MY HOME OR I WILL SUE YOU FOR TRESPASSING AND THEFT ALONG WITH HARASSMENT.
My dish anywhere and dish internet been down for over month but they still bill me 55 dollars for monthly internet can't believe been this long and you can't fix your system maybe time to call Hughes net
We have had no service for two weeks. The only thing we can do on their website is pay them money. If you try to call them the wait is hours. We are quitting dish.
On the phone to pay a bill. Signed up with Direct Tv for more channels & 3 yr price lock, all for a 3rd of the cost!
Dish Network SUCKS!
Yet another call to Dish waited on hold for 90 minutes. I ended service with Dish March 1st and they are still billing me. I still have their equipment for return and they yet to send the paperwork and box. I am told another 8-10 days to receive it. This company is a hot mess. Don't select them as your provider.
Do yourself a favor and don't sign up for Dish Network. Dish system has been down for over a month. Can't pay bill online or on TV. Called customer service and waited on hold for over 3 hours, only for them to hang up on me. Never again. Filing complaint with the state and FCC.
I can't wait for my contract to end. I will never use Dish again. I missed so many of my favorite programs, due to the fact they are always in contract disputes and have to remove the channel. Customer service is beyond awful! I had to wait for two hours to talk to someone about my bill. As of now the billing system is messed up, I've been trying to reach them for days and kept giving up due to the fact, it was always an hour wait. Totally disgusted. I wouldn't advise anyone to use Dish. Not worth it!
I actually would not give them a 1 star. I wanted to add a channel to my package and I waited on hold for 90 minutes and spoke with representative who then told me they needed to be transferred to another representative. I waited on hold for 2 hours to speak to a representative to be told, they needed to transfer me to someone else who could help me. I hung up and called the cancellation department only to be told my wait time was 153 minutes. I was offered an option to get a call back. We will see if I get a call back when a representative is available. I am done, I don't care what I have to pay to get out of Dish. This is the worst customer service I have ever seen and I pay around $100 a month for the service. SO NOT WORTH IT!
I have had to make three phone calls to DISH, their recording State high call volume with a thirty minute wait which was an hour and five minutes today the other call wait times were over an hour as well. I was told today the system has been down for four weeks I I could not take my home off pause and will not has service when I get home tomorrow.
Any company with sense would put on the recording what they can not do because the system is down, that way the high call volume would go down and the customer would not have to wait an hour on hold to talk to someone.
After being hacked Dish's website went down along with customer's ability to make payments. Before their paper bill arrived my service was shut off despite claims that they would not do this. This company is dishonest and increasingly incompetent. Dish is in a slow death spiral, avoid this train wreck you will not have a positive experience.
Worse service ever. They give a promotion of free movie channels for 3 months when you sign up but after 2 months they start charging you. On the phone for almost 3 hours to cancel just to be put on hold, can not go on their web site that is down except to make a payment, funny how that part works ok. Now I,m stuck making payments on worthless channels because you can not Get a hold of anybody to cancel. Haté this $#*!ing company, No $#*!ing customer service at all,take your money and $#*! you.
Answer: Because it sounds great to have 1200 channels even if 1195 channels are nothing but infomercials, most people like me think wow I will have so many movies to watch I might have to record 5 while I watch 1 but after you get your 1200 channels you realize most every movie you would like to see can only be viewed if you pay an extra rental fee, another huge disadvantage to satellite tv is the frequency of commercials and the time the commercials are shown, regular tv used to be a 2 minute commercial break, dish network and directv have over 5 minute commercial breaks

Answer: They bait and switch with their supposed DVR recording option that they change to On Demand, making it impossible for you to watch what you thought you recorded.
