I found this site online in hopes that it would unlock my iPhone 11 like they advertised, well SINCE I PAID TWO SEPARATE FEES for service I have not heard from anyone nor have they did what they said they could do! I got one email from "Tim" and it was the general message that it already on the site! This is very disappointing and at this point I just want my money back!
This is definitely a scam! They do a preliminary scan and let you know if you should go further. Of course they told me that everything was all set to go and everything was clean and clear. Then 7 days later while I patiently waited for them to unlock my phone, I was told that it wasn't possible and that I would be issued a credit. Why in God's name would I need a credit for a service that I was only going to use one time? This is a racket! They will take your money with a smile on their face and do nothing for you! If I could give it negative 10 Stars I would! They stole my money and did nothing!
Direct unlocks told me that they could unlock my new phone in 5 days. When 5 days expired, they then told me 7 more days. I requested them to forget it & return my money...No answer...Careful, they are in the UK & charged me $120, for NOTHING!

Finally got the codes. It only took 16 days and $100 I don't recommend. They initially say the price is $20 then you get an email saying the codes are ready but you need to pay another $80. Then turns out they aren't ready and it's going to take an additional 16 days. Unless you've got a ton of time and a ton of money go somewhere else
Dint fulfill there end didn't give me money back instead they gave me credit towards to unlock another phone which was a waste and a rip off this is the last time I'll ever do business with them and you would be wise to do the same
This is absolutely a scam and after reading the comments below it confirms it. My story is pretty much the same as below. They didnt tell me about other charges, then requested a second payment almost immediately. Since then I've been stuck on a screen telling me my request is pending (its been over a week now). Estimated time says imminent smh! They need to be shut down asap! They are taking money away from so much people.
After paying what they initially asked for they kept asking for more money... Ended up paying $97 and they finally said they cannot unlock the phone and they cannot refund my money, instead these people offer me a credit to unlock other phones. Wrote two emails (*******@directunlocks.com) never answered. These people are internet Scammers and shout be reported.
They just scammed me 58$. Don't use their platform. They have refused to refund my Money. Kindly keep away from them
Website doesn't tell you the first charge is to see if you can unlock the phone and then they charge you again afterwards to unlock. Afterwards, they weren't able to unlock it and tried to issue a credit. I started a dispute and they threaten to blacklist your phone. I'm going with the dispute anyway. The website is a complete scam.
DirectUnlocks Tracking
IMEI Number: **************
LG Q Stylo 4 locked to Sprint USA
Current Timeframe: 10 days
Overdue: This unlock is taking a little longer than normal, we are chasing this IMEI for you and have prioritised it. We will email you and update your status accordingly when it is unlocked.
Progress of your IMEI: 99%
Estimated time remaining: Imminent
If this is longer than you expected, please be aware that busy periods such as Christmas or the release of popular phones, can make unlocking a little slower, especially if your network/phone combination requires a human process.
Please be patient, your phone will get unlocked for any sim card.
I HAVE BEEN PATIENT FOR LONG. TJE ABOVE MESSAGE IS A PROVE ENOUGH. FOR 7 MONTHS I HAVE BEEN PATIENT AND BECAME A PATIENT. KINDLY AS THIS DIRECT UNLOCK TO REFUND MY MONEY.
I went through the process but ran into issues when time to pay. First they won't accept Discover, then I was told my AMEX was declined when I have a zero balance. I felt they wanted me to pay with my debit card so that I would have no recourse if things went south. Learned about the additional charges while reading these reviews.
Pay wait a week and then they say that they can't unlock it and that they will give me a credit, I don't want a credit with them because they can't solve the unlock and they don't return the money attentively with that
Don't pay for this, after first payment they will send another email for second payment and even after that they cannot unlock and keep the money. What a scamm!
Please don't waste your money. I paid for my unlock way before Christmas and when you look at the the order tracking it stops at 99%.
I sent the payment of around 24 pounds and then got an e-mail to release the unlock codes I had to pay another 65 pounds. Absolute scammers
I thought I would try the service given the mixed reviews. Its a scam. Here's their message: The reason we offer pre-order Eligibility Checks - along with many companies in this industry - is that we don't want people paying a huge amount up front with a risk of not getting anything, which is why we do a two-stage payment for unlocking which works well for most of our clients. Doing it two stage ensures that we can run eligibility checks on your phone and make sure it's on the correct network, isn't blacklisted, is the correct model, check the contract status and to make sure it hasn't exceeded unlocking code tries.
Hidden cost... Rip off! They make the steps clear on the site, once payment is received, checks are done, and provided they pass you'll get the code... However once I've paid the £11.99 and the checks are passed you have to pay a further £20 to release the code. So £31.99 to unlock a 10 year old Nokia for my mum. Called 6 local phone shops and got quoted £15-£20, should have just gone to one of them instead and saved the money. If your looking for a cheap phone unlock service DO NOT use this site
It's been more than a month and there has been no reply to any email correspondence. $77 down the drain.
Please do not go with these folks and does not work. They charge initially 24 pounds and again ask for another payment which is ridiculous and don't unlock the phone
Upon trying to unlock my iPhone 12 promax, I came across direct unlocks, the ratings said they were reasonable, so I took a chance, they immediately told me they had a new IMEI number for me, and make a payment, after I made the payment a few minutes went by, and they asked me to make a another payment to unlock the IMEI number, upon making my second payment I waited three weeks, and never, to this day got anything from them! Now they sent me a new email telling me my IMEI number could not be updated and I would have to pay them for a third process to get my IMEI unlocked, I did not pay them anything, and they stop talking to me all together
when I questioned their business practices, they stopped all conversations with me as of now I am out of 150 US Dollars. I strongly advise everyone looking to unlock the phone, never ever to use this service, and after further investigation, I found out they have been shaming people for years! Who can we turn to for help?
