I would give zero stars if I could. I bought several plants from here, and most of them came damaged or dead. The customer service is terrible, with nobody offering any solutions on what to do with the dead or damaged plants I recived. If I had read reviews before purchasing, then I definitely would not have bought anything.
I ordered in March 2021 they cashed my check April 8 21. It's now May 30th haven't received any information, product or reply's to emails. Their number is constantly busy. I believe they are a scam company. I should have read reviews prior to ordering
Placed an order mid-March and still have not received most of order. Contacted cust. Service via email and asked for refund if order was not being shipped. Was told order would ship late May and they did not usually do refunds. This is May 29th and still have not seen shipment. Too late for some of the things I ordered to be planted. Do not order anything from this company!
Ordered never received products. Can't get anyone on the phone! I pray no one else orders! I plead the blood of Jesus on every one who is a part of this scheme They will not prosper!

I placed an order for plants in March and here we are at the end of May and still no plants and they are took the money back in March
Ordered on April 26th and still do not have any of the order. Tried to call to see what the status is and keep getting line busy and disconnected. Guess that is because everyone else they have scammed are trying to call also. Guess I will wait till next year and order my 13 trees at a more reputable site.
I ordered 5 pounds of grass seed on March 29th and as of May 19th have not received the product nor any notification of shipping or that the product is not available. Requested refund one week ago and no refund received nor confirmation that a refund will be forth coming.

I wish I had read this website before I ordered from them. I have ordered in March of 21 and still have never received what i ordered. I have tried to contact them over and over again but no answer. They robbed me of 20 dollars which isnt much to some but it means alot to me.
I wish I had read the reviews here, and elsewhere (about the same level of dissatisfaction), before I ordered.
This company will take your money in November, not ship until April ("We're closed for the winter"), be unable to tell one order from another, and not include most of the promised bonus plants with the order.
They ship bareroot trees (seedlings, actually, but that's OK for the price) when they get around to re-opening, supposedly in March, but actually in mid-to-late April but NOT at the bareroot planting season for your area (which for me is January/February).
What I received do seem to be either growing or growable (too soon to tell for sure).
I placed an order on 3/21/21 and I still have not received the plants I ordered. I have contacted them 3 times. Each time I get a reply to allow 4-5 days for a response. Then when they respond, they still will not give an estimated delivery date for my plants. So nearly 2 months later I still have no plants. My advice is buy from another company and avoid DirectGardening like the plague.
Ordered a variety of plants. Had questions and only got some 'non' answers. Cancelled the order on March 27th and got a reply that the cancellation was 'under review'. What review?
Then on May 10, (6 weeks after cancelling) I got a message that my order had shipped!
Customer service finally answered, basically telling us to sent it back on our cost, with very little, if any chance of getting our money back. There are a lot of better places to lose your money than this place.
I ordered some roses and after waiting a good 7 or 8 months after I got sent DEAD plants, I rceived a voucher instead of a refund. This place is horrible and if I had it my way they would get a negative 3 stars. Funny, I sent in money but I get a voucher back. Thats bad business. What if I dont want anything else from them? I guess they still get my money and I get screwed. Thanks For Nothing
These guys simply take your money for nothing. They take orders all right but don't ship for months! Last year I waited for nearly 2 months to get the plants I ordered and eventually they arrive completely dry and dead. When I called them they promised to replace them if they don't survive. OK, I planted them. That was a mistake. I should instantly ship them back for the refund. But you don't really see many hypers like that in the States. So. Of course all the dry stuff remained dead. Not a single seed sprouted! This year, early, in the Feb I called them but this time they requested me to send them a paper mail with the replacement request.
I did that. Now, TWO months later, they still sent nothing and they have no idea when they will ship it and they keep promising that if it arrives dead they will replace it.
Bottom line - they are a plain SCAM.
For 11 years I purchased all my bedding plug plants from Jersey Plants spending over £100 each year and never had one complaint against them, but they have now been taken over by this shower of sh**e. Plants arriving dried up or crushed. I spent £34 on one offer for trailing multi flowering plants one box arrived dried up and wilted the other two boxes all the plants were crushed and broken I couldn't save one plant. Complained by email no reply tried to phone no reply. So I will definitely NOT be using Gardening Direct again. Save your money buy elsewhere.
I ordered from this company and have been very displeased with the company and the customer service. They have not sent my order and when I inquired I got a form letter in reply. I finally contacted them by email and asked that my order be cancelled and to please issue a refund as soon as possible. I was then told that my request would be sent to the proper department that I haven't hears from after waiting 5 days for a reply. I have never had a problem ordering on line with any other company. I have learned my lesson to check out an on line company before I give them my money. Wish I could rate them no stars.
Warning. Stay away from Direct Gardening. Horrible company that sends unhealthy/dead plants and pays no attention to planting schedules. Purchased early in 2019 and dead grape sticks were sent too late in the growing season. None sprouted. When Direct Gardening was contacted for warranty in 2020, it took several attempts to get a response. Then I was sent more dead grape sticks as a replacement and again much later than recommended planting. When I contacted them again a few days ago requesting healthy dormant grape plants, I was told the warranty was expired. All I want is healthy grape plants that should have been sent initially. For my other plants that never sprouted I was sent a $10 credit which didn't cover half my loss. Covered my shipping charges. Bad customer service, unethical policy and no quality control. Deserves 0 stars.
They don't stand behind thier products that they ship even when they send the wrong items. These guys have the worst customer service I've ever had the pleasure trying to deal with. I order privet hedge they sent Siberian elm and won't stand behind it because it been over a year nobody can tell the have the wrong items in that time frame when they sell root stock? They refuse too make it right so I'm gonna have to deliver these back in person I guess!
My first review I gave it a 5 because the roses looked healthy and was doing great. I ordered 4 different kinds and colors of roses and when roses bloomed I have 3 the same color. I didn't get what I ordered. I'm in my warranty period but does the expense and digging up the roses to send back worth the trouble and then take a chance I will actually get what my first order was. I wish I would of read the reviews before ordering from this company. I'm sure their is others that are honest
Great for buying dead plants That can't be replaced or refunded. After buying hundreds of dollars in just dry twigs over a year later still unable to get a replacement or will refund.
I ordered items August 2020. They took the money from my credit card immediately. They did not send till mid October. Some items came molded and some completely dead. Real run around with attempts to replace items. They say they replace items however this is December and I remain trying to get them to accept the requested information. First they said they didn't have my request. Then they sent me a note saying the items were dormant not dead. They definitely give a really really hard time for replacement. The customer care is awful. They say customer care and the call center are 2 different departments. It appears to be set up like a back room boiler room in a third world country!
Answer: Yes it Is absolutely real. They are thieves. I just called my credit card company to do the dispute becoz they are not responsible for the dead plants they sent to me with all the charges including the shipping fee. This company has to be shut down for their dishonest business. I will fight for it and no more people will be mistreated and cheated.
