I ordered 12 Poplar trees and when I got them they looked dead. They told me that they would come back if I planted them... they didn't. So I asked for replacements. After 3 months, the replacements finally came... they were dead too. So I returned the shipping paperwork as requested. Never heard back from them. When I called, they said it was beyond the year warranty... so no replacement trees. This was because Direct Gardening dragged their feet until the 1 year warranty expired.
I recommend not wasting your money here. There are plenty of other nurseries to do business with.
Is there a way we can sue this company for stealing our monies?
How many customers ave they fooled of taking monies and delivering trash.
I mailed the original shipping label for replacement as per their policies after sending me trash dead plants last June. They emailed me and replied replacement will be this fall.
Then they sent a card with a different response that they will mail replacement on Spring 2022.
In other words after ordering on March, they will probably send after a year. Maybe never and they are laughing their way to the bank.

DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS SITE as it is owned by KELLY NURSERIES DBA DIRECT GARDENING. Please feel free to READ THE REVIEWS AT https://www.yelp.com/biz/direct-gardening-bloomington-3. CUSTOMERS HAVE BEEN STOLEN FROM! I just hung up with "Customer Service Manager" at Kelly Nurseries, whom informed me that I have to send my bank statement showing proof of purchase. After they've already lost my Original packaging, invoice, bank statement proof and their invoice to them for the purpose of replacement or refund on September 21,2020. Not only were they dead, the one that survived isn't even fantasy Monarda.
I have over 30 emails spanning a years time that shows you'll be told the same thing over and over until you give up! IM NOT GIVING UP! If you've had a bad experience with either company let's talk.
I'll be looking for the writers of a ton of these reviews for litigation purposes.
PLEASE PROTECT YOURSELF FROM CONSUMER THEFT!

We waited 8 weeks just to get a tracking number and another 2 weeks to receive the delivery. The plants were dead upon delivery. I emailed them after trying to call. They never returned my email until the 4th email. Then the response was a screen shot of there warranty. They expect you to return dead plants with proof of delivery. The plants were delivered in a bag with no protection. Do not buy from this company unless you want dead plants with no customer service.
I never received my online order from this company. When I disputed it 5 months later they sent me a copy of the fedex tracking showing my order arrived. I never got it and there's no sign any of my neighbors ever got it. I guess I'll have to dispute the transaction with the credit card company
Prior to placing an order with this company I tried calling to get some answers to questions I had, every time I called I would get a busy signal. Sent an email with my questions and placed an order. After two days received response and then decided to cancel order. Customer service rep advised it would take 8 weeks to ship items? I sent an email to cancel. I then sent two follow up emails to cancel my order. Since my initial cancelation email, 3 weeks had past and still no response. I get an email stating plants are being shipped. I try calling again for a few days and then FINALLY gat someone who states that they cannot help me because my "cancelled order" has already been shipped, mind you the order was showing as "label created" carrier didn't have possession yet and order should've been canceled initially the first time. The plants were for a project in another state and I was no longer there when this company went ahead and shipped my "canceled" order anyway. The company in no way wants to take any responsibility. Stay away from this company. If I could have given this company ZERO STARS I WOULD HAVE.
I ordered 2 rose bushes in May They said it would ship 3 to 5 weeks after 4 weeks I called to check on the status they notified me that my order will not ship until next year I have requested a refund several times and they have not sent a refund.
Ordered a lavender tree peony & never received it. Order #*******. You cannot talk to a person. Anytime day or night phone is busy. Said by email they sent it but I never received
I ordered $299 worth of trees for our new property in January. Waited and waited for some type of communication. Nothing. Spring turned to summer still no communication. Never received my order. I emailed asking for a refund. Response from them was shocking, unprofessional, and unwilling to make anything right. Had to appeal to my credit card company for help. This company needs to be shut down!
Ordered a tree rose, took about 2 months to receive. Tree rose arrived not in a box but in a plastic bag without any protection. Canes broken and poking through the plastic. Opened the plastic and found a dried, very brittle and DEAD tree rose. I requested a replacement but who knows when I'm going to get it. You would think that they would rush it since I've wasted couple months waiting for the dead tree rose. I should have read the reviews before I placed my order. Stay away from this vendor. Don't waste your money!

I wrote 8 emails asking this company to cancel my order. Tried many times calling them and no one every answered the phone. Not only did I never get my plants, they charged my credit card $132 so I had to write a letter to the credit card company asking them to cancel the charge and am still waiting to hear back from them. This company is a total cheat.
Worse customer service I've ever experienced. Tried to cancel order. They will not respond to emails or phone calls. Ordered plants a month ago and nothing has arrived. Now it is too hot in Arizona to do any planting. Have sent them 5 emails and each is answered with an auto-reply that someone will get back to me in 5 days but there has been no followup. I will have to have my credit card company do a chargeback. Asked them to cancel my order but they refuse saying it was shipped. If it was shipped then where are my plants? Please save your money and do not purchase from this company.
Received 2 Kiwi plants in a plastic mailing envelope - 1 in a plastic clamshell, the other in a plastic bag. The one in the clamshell was in OK condition, a little beat up where the leaves extended out the sides of the clamshell. The other was crushed - alive but extremely pale with brown areas on the leaves. Both were very small, looked like this year's cuttings. If they live, it will be a result of extremely intensive care from a Master Gardener. This company should be ashamed of their products and practices.
Took two months to get my order. Four plants were dead, three plants (the most expensive in the order) were missing altogether. Repeated attempts to call Direct Gardening were unsuccessful because they leave their phone off the hook and all one hears is a busy signal. No response to email inquiries. I disputed the charge on my credit card, and it my bank wrote it off as a de minimus loss and issued me a refund. I wish my bank had reversed the charges and denied this company payment. I have never dealt with a more scammy company.
Ordered plants on April 19th. Still not here on June 26th. Arrived too late to plant. Dead and moldy. Fedex guy said the rotten smell in his truck was horrible. Customer service was non exisitent. Did not waste the money to send back since the refund reviews were so bad. Will chalk it up to a bad experience... DO not buy here.
I ordered plants three months ago and all I've gotten is auto-generated responses and no plants. Spring planting time has passed. Save your money. Do not but from Direct Gardening.

When you call all you get is a stall tactic; all they say is that a e mail will be sent when the order is shipped. I tried to cancel the order was told

The plants arrived dead. They were also not what I ordered. Company will not issue a refund unless I send back the dead plants and I pay for shipping. Don't trust that they would refund me so not returning. Will not use again.
It took 3 months to get my order. I'm in Texas, so we need to plant early, that didn't happen.
I got about 50% yield from what they sent me. After a bitter complaint, they sent me another delivery gratis, with the added present of a highly poisonous plant... to dogs, cats, children & humans. Oddly, THAT PLANT, arrived in pristine condition... hmmmmm. My neighbor planted it in a place no one can get hurt by it.
Just don't use them.
Ordered Aspen trees from them and they said that they wouldn't bud the first year because they put them in a dormant state... at the same time they say they give you a 1 year replacement guarantee... huh.
No budding ever happened in the 2 years since.
The thing that irks me off is that I have contacted them 5-6 times via email & their contact form (Their phone is always off the hook busy)
I have never received a reply. Today was my last email to them in which I told them I would start posting reviews if no response. After that I searched for reviews about them...

Answer: Yes it Is absolutely real. They are thieves. I just called my credit card company to do the dispute becoz they are not responsible for the dead plants they sent to me with all the charges including the shipping fee. This company has to be shut down for their dishonest business. I will fight for it and no more people will be mistreated and cheated.
