Beware- any item that is 65% off has a 3 day return policy and that is still at the discretion of the store. They are ‘supposed' to advise you, when you make the purchase. Did not receive that warning. Returned an item bought for Christmas and had to call a manager. Could only receive a gift card and had to present my driver's license. I'm done with that snooty place.
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING ONLINE FROM HERE. I received a paid of shoes for Christmas that I need to exchange for a different size and they basically told me I have to pay $20 to return and exchange the shoes for the SAME PAIR (just a different size). Was literally not helpful at all and told me I am essentially stuck with these shoes. Seriously, any other department store has better customer service than Dillards.
I love Dillard's! They have amazing sales on some amazing products! I especially love the after Christmas sales! I got my latest handbag there. I'm very happy with it!
No reason to buy from this store in good faith because they just steal from people! I recently shopped for a sweater at Dillard's website. Whenever I put in the basket, it told me that I could get free shipping by adding $11 in purchases. So I did that. However when I went to check out, it still charged me a shipping fee. I called Dillard's and they said that this message was for only Dillard card purchases--but that is not what the message said. Beware!
First off the pair of boots were out of stock and their website said that they will cover the shipping fee if i put my email address in. They never emailed me i checked my junkmail too. I ended up paying for shipping fee even after asking them if they could credit me for it as i had the screenshot of their website saying that they will cover the shipping fee. Ok then when i got the item the pair were used and scuffed. Imagine i paid $85 plus shipping for them to send me a pair of used boots. So i sent them back and they said oh we have 5 pair in stock and we will send you the new pair asap. Now here i am writing this after 10 days of waiting and they still say that my order is being processed. They never email me for status update and they dont care and i have to wait for 30 mins sometimes 1 hour to get a status update. I hate to be one of those customers but you guys did me wrong
My wife is obssesed with shopping, I guess lots of men around the world can understand my pain. Anyway, I always support her new dresses, shirts and skirts. However, sometimes she wears awful clothes which I don't like but I can't directly tell it to her. So, I have decided to try another option. I ordered here new clothes by my own in order to present it to her, assuring her that she's wearing nice dresses because they're gifted by me, from the bottom of my heart. This service is pretty awesome, there is a big assortment here and I want to recommend all the men such a lifehack.

I was approved for a $2,000 Dillard's credit card over a month ago while shopping at the Asheville outlet. Today, I went to the outlet in North Carolina due to a Labor Day sale and when trying to pay for the items totaling $304.74, using a 10% coupon (expiration date 9/30/2021 they sent me with my first invoice) my card was declined. I called customer service and Amy told me that they needed to verify my identity because the amount looked suspicious. $304.74 on a sale day suspicious? She verified it was me using my own card and to try again. In the meantime, I was instructed to make the line again to try the card which I did. After trying to pay again using my card and the 10% coupon, the card declined a couple of more times. I could not use it. I used another credit card. Since I cannot use my Dillard's credit card, I cut it in 16 pieces and threw the pieces in the trash!
They have large collection of shoes from various famous brands. Good shipping and customer services. Bought pair of shoes at a good price.
I purchased 4 tops on 3 August and it stated they would reach me no later than 10 August. I had them shipped to PA for ny reunion. 2 of the shirts didn't make it until the afternoon of the 12th. I assumed by calling they would help me forward the package or provide me a return shipping label- nope $9.99 at my cost and argued with me about how many business days they had (5-- yet I didn't receive until 6th). I spent 20 minutes wasted speaking with Marisa and the manager Elsa. The Customer is NOT always right at Dillard's and they could care less that this was my first online experience with them, and now my last in store and online over yes, $9.99 because I now had to pay $9 to print a label to my parents printer to send to me so I can return to a VA store with the rest of my order bc although I liked 2 of them, there's no way I am supporting this business.
You can take your chances and shop at Dillard's online but why would you in 2021 with such a horrible return policy and attitude towards customers? You can literally shop anywhere and they'll provide you a free prepaid return label now if you don't like it: Macy's (their competitor), Amazon... again, it's not 1999.

Ordered some pieces online and the shipping was late. I decided to call their customer service, waited for their answer and they said the order will be delivered within 1-2 days. But then 4 more days have come, and only them did I receive it. Will not order again, don't want to wait for it for half of my life.
Dillards will be out of business soon unless they change their business model. 45 minutes on hold for customer service concerning and order I placed last week. She said well the items will be ready for pick up at the store in 3 to 5 business days. I knew that. It's been 5 days. So where is the order. She said the store will call you. I drove 150 miles to the store. Took back a $200 dress and cancelled my $250 order. Way to go Dillards. Soft Surround clothing and service is much better. Good bye Dillards!
Dillards has by far been the worst department store experience. Their customer service is not of any help unless it's for online purchases. Both the store and their customer service just gives you all kinds of excuses but no real solution. They won't help you at all!

The handbags d part ment with Dillards in Fairview Texas is the worst. The employees have limited to no product knowledge about the bags and their customer service is beyond the worst. I call to asked if a particular bag was in stocks, the employee told me the bag was there. When I got to the stop, I spoke to the employee who informed me the bag was there, to my surprise, Dillards didn't carry her he bag at all. Okay drive over 20 miles to pickup the bag. I'll will never shop there. Stay away from on Christy. She has a personality of a rock and horrible customer service. Save yourself the headache at shop either online or at rhe Stonebriar location which is were I purchased a Brahmin bag. I will never shop at the handbag department at Dillards in Fairview Texas again.
Answer: I don't know about their in-store customer service, but the phone representative I talked to was snippy. As far as their return policy, for online purchases, just be sure not to use PayPal because they won't refund it and don't tell you that when you order. You have to find out the hard way, when you get a "gift card" in the mail.
Answer: There may be a few negative complaints but Dillard's is actually one of the highest rated retailers on this entire site! It pretty much has one of the best overall scores. And that's saying a lot for any retailer these days. I was surprised myself. If you've had issues, try to take a multi-pronged approach such as myself, calling, emailing, live chat (if they have it) - until you get a resolution. Also, try to find a feedback section and state your case there as well. Good Luck.
