I stumbled across diet doctor website when researching how to lose weight. I decided to take the two week Keto challenge and promptly lost weight! I have become a member so that I have access to meal plans and informational videos etc. I think the website is amazing and it has totally re-educated my understanding of the food groups and good fats etc. The videos and films are very eye opening. As I'm 74 I'm still struggling with the concept of trying to change the eating of my husband and sometimes myself. I love eating the healthy way, love the recipes and have made many of them. Trying to stay focused is hard when you are out and about as most cafés tend to serve "coffee and cake" as their staple. Overweight all my life and even though I think I'm doing the correct eating have lost 1 kg to date, that can easy go back on if I have a night out. I haven't lost hope. Having open heart surgery next week and hopefully I may loose a little more then.
Definitivamente para mi metabolismo tengo que regular el tema de las calorias, ya que comi Keto por 1 mes entero, hice algun ayuno esporadico pero no logré bajar de peso (soy sedentario y peso 110 K) eso si, lo unico que me entusiasmó es el tema de indie glucemico que lo pude bajar, pero me gustaría que hicieran hincapié en que no es solo "Carbs" sino que tambien hay que tener cuidado con las calorías. Segun unas calculadoras para perdida de peso que andan dando vuelta en la web, yo tendría que consumir solo 1560 y con las recomendaciones de dieDoctor mis comidas diarias deben estar cerca de 3000 Cal!... entonces, no aumenté de peso pero mi objetivo principal que era bajar de peso no fue posible!, me gustaria que me respondieran indicando en que me pude haber equivocado. De todos modos ahora estoy mirando la guía de comidas del Reto de las 3 semanas y allí analizando las cantidades y demas veo que haciendo solo 3 comidas al dia puedo rondar las 2000 calorias... seguiré probando!, sin dudas, y les contaré mas adelante!, Gracias, Fernando
Eating keto has almost eliminated my fibro pain. I am a farm wife/grandma and the meals I make have to satisfy my family. I have yet to find a recipe that, in my Hubby's words, 'you don't have to do that again!'. Sometimes I add more spice but the flavours are always good.
A friend is dealing with Primary lateral sclerosis and both her doctor & nutritionist recommend keto. She has struggled with changing her diet and I sent her to this site for yummy recipes to make the transition easier.
