There are a lot of other website out there. However, Diet Doctor is the best website if you want to learn how to do the diet properly. If you take your time and watch all the video, you will get clarity of how to do the diet and why you needed it. It's just like a giant mall with everything you can imagine and need in it.
A friend recommended Diet Doctor to me and I loved the site, the menus, recipes and shopping lists. My aim was to improve my health and fitness and a useful side effect for me was a few kilos lost.
The portions are very generous. I am only 5ft 2in tall so needed to cut the portions quite dramatically but imagine that for some people this would not be necessary.
This is the best place to get started with low carbohydrate lifestyle. I was a free member for a while, then a paid member. The videos are very inspirational, and the recipes are easy and delicious.
My husband and I decided to give the keto diet a try back in the spring of 2017. I wanted to lose about 15 lbs and my husband had about 30 lbs to lose. As a researcher, before we started we researched everything we could find on exactly what ketosis was and how it worked. We came across the Diet Doctor and as we delved into the information on this site we recognized that it not only had everything we needed to succeed, we also both felt all the articles were well researched. The recipes were also easy to follow.
We started with what we thought would be a three day fast but we both felt so good we continued for seven days. My husband lost 18 lbs and I lost 12 lbs. After that we continued to lose until we felt we were at the size we wanted to be.
We continue to follow the keto way of eating because it keeps us satiated and we love the food we get to eat. We intermittent fast using the 18/6 hr rule and usually only eat two meals a day. For so many years I deprived myself of all the food I now get to indulge on such as bacon, avocados, cheesecake, steak, burgers and on and on. Sometimes it can be a little more work as everything I make is from scratch but it is so worth the results. I remember when I first started I would have this amazing meal and be so full. I never felt like snacking which is the way I used to feel, and I would wake in the morning and not only felt slimmer but had tons of energy.

Also, There are many videos that help you to understand exactly what keto is all about. The science behind it all is very interesting. That is why I love it!
The website is extremely user friendly and updated regularly. User Information is easy to find and ranges from absolute beginners material through to very experienced, so kind of a here's everything you need experience with great continuity. Articles and recipes again added to continually so things don't become stale. Very interesting and informative but I also feel Diet doctor is supportive and even nurturing hence my title. I like that it explains the why and why nots of the do and do nots but I really like the helpful advice given when slipping up and carrying out one of those do nots, we are human it happens and it's good to be prepared for that too. Another big plus is that so much is free of charge which is rare in today's market place, an admirable quality in my opinion giving the information to lighten you ranks way way higher than trying to lighten your pocket.
I have spoken with so many people who's first complaint about Keto is it is too hard. I point everyone to this website and its information. I even spend a bit of time assisting folks to get started. This site makes understanding and implementing a low-carb/keto lifestyle easy... and tasty. I have successfully removed 60lbs from my frame and have kept it off for over a year with no looking back and no real struggle. It is high time for me to add a bit of movement to my lifestyle but it was not necessary with the info provided here.
I use this app more than any other I have! It's easy to use and has a wealth of information on how and why to do Keto! The recipes are out of this world.
Like the recipe's. I have not eaten this way since I was a child. It is going back (if you are old enough) to the way we used to eat. Lots of fat, minimal sugar.

After losing around 15 kg over 8 months to reach my goal weight and after enjoying the fruits of mental and physical wellbeing, this way of eating has become an achievable lifestyle. My thinking has changed to where food choices are automatic and simple. Cooking is a joy for me and I love researching healthy alternatives for favourite meals. Diet Doctor offers an endless supply of fresh ideas. The videos and articles help me to stay informed. I don't believe it is safe to change diets unless you know the research behind it. I look forward the the weekly emails and am always amazed with people's success stories.
The only addition I would suggest for the app is the ability to add extra non-menu items to the shopping list for complete grocery shopping satisfaction!

The recipes and meal planner are a godsend - it would be great if there could be a Keto/carb calculator incorporated just to keep tabs on macros when first starting out avoiding guesswork for a day's meals. I would say its worth trying because it may not suit everyone - I know my body copes better with low carbs so this was the perfect way for me to shift some excess fat.

I was diagnosed as a Type II diabetic in late 2015. The staff at my local NHS GP surgery recommended the standard NICE schedule of treatment, i.e. consume 1/3rd calories from carbs, low saturated fat etc., and take tablets for the rest of your life.
Web research led me to Diet Doctor, where I found a wealth of good science about the carb intolerance I have, and how to change one's lifestyle so as to hold the condition in check. I have followed the advice from Diet Doctor since 2015, changing my caloric intake to 80:15:5 (fat:protein:carb), with additional fasting. I love Diet Doctor. I am very hesitant to take on any regular monthly payments as I am on a fixed income pension. However I am happy to pay for Diet Doctor. Following a ketogenic diet, having Diabetest Type 2, and being 70 is no joke. My doctor believes in mainstream medicine. Period. The fact that I won't take his meds troubles him and he is unable to be helpful to me. Getting a different doctor is out - there are very few available, if any, in my area. The meal plans are terrific. I can usually cobble one together even when I want specific types of meals. I cook for myself and my adult daughter who is gluten free so we both agreed to go ketogenic because it's good for both of us. I read the articles, watch the videos (not all of them obviiously) and find this site a terrific resource where I can ask questions, read expert opinions, hear about other success stories. I love that it has no advertising (its worth the cost just to avoid the ads) but also because I know that what I'm being told isn't being influences by "sponsors".
