Dash Deals Employee Chris was very polite and corrected the problem with in 5 minutes. He is an asset to the company and if his tone would have been any different I would not consider doing business with Dash Deals ever! I was very impressed with the professionalism I received. I have spent thousands of dollars on bids and I came to my senses... Wouldn't you think that if you didn't win that you would get your bids back and the person who won, would be responsible for their bids plus the winning price of the item? I know about the "Buy It Now" and the rules, but I asked customer service about it and they basically cut-pasted their answer to me about Buy It Now... I won a couple of lower priced gift cards when I FIRST started bidding. Yay me! When I took a break from Dealdash for a few months and decided to try to win some things with the extra bids I had... I seem to have immediately won two thumb drives, lower end Walmart and Amazon gift cards. Okay, bought some more bids, and won absolutely nothing! I wish I could get my money back to pay for my medical bills that have just now accumulated. I feel cheated that I spent so much money on this. Seems to be rigged somehow so you win and when you return, you after being away, you win small items and not the big ones. Not too thrilled.:-/ But I will admit that customer service was nice when they had a computer glitch pushing me out of a pro Canon camera I had been bidding on and gave me my bids back, but took out of the auction. Grrrrr... I really want my lost bids money back!

As you've experienced yourself the lower valued items are easier to win and the higher valued items are generally more difficult to win. I requested something from DealDash that they don't normally entertain, But they will take My request into consideration, investigate, and possibly grant my request. In the end, I don't know their decision, but I think it is GREAT that they would even consider breaking their rules under special circumstances! I think that is the way the World should work - Right?!

This is a fun website but please read the rules first. You don't get your bids returned on items you bid on unless you pay full price for the item. Pick your interests carefully and you can have a lot of fun. Customer Service was great to me when I first started and didn't understand how it worked. Have Fun!
Good advice Christine. We recommend people to only bid on items they are willing to buy in case they don't win. This way you get your bids back to try again.

I had an issue with payment between PayPal and my Bank.
I notified customer service who immediately answered back.
They were able to give me a clear concise answer on what to do.
Even I was able to follow as I am rather technology challenged.
( ( grew up when we used 2 tin cans and a string for a telephone).

The most important thing to understand is to READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS before bidding. You can become your own worse enemy, if you don't. DealDash's Customer Service is excellent, but all of your your questions can be answered before you make your first bid, if you just take the time to read. GOOD BIDDING AT DEALDASH!

I have had some good wins on Deal Dash, I've also had to utilize the Buy It Now feature alot on Deal Dash. At least you get your bids back if you use BIN, but you end up having to spend alot more money!

I've been using DealDash.com since November 2010. What initially drew me to the site was the buy it now option. Whenever you bid on an item and lose the auction you can still "Buy It Now" and DealDash will give you all your bids back! I've received every item I've won or BIN'd and I've even found that on occasion the pricing beats Amazon! Their "No Jumper" auctions are really cool too because this means that only people that have been in the first $5 are eligible to bid after the auction goes past $5. That keeps new people from coming in and "jumping" you. There are a lot of Penny auction sites out there. Many have bots to run up the auction price. These tactics tend to give penny auctions a bad name. I've not seen this tactic at DealDash. I look for this kind of thing too! They are a fair and reputably site and I'd recommend them to anyone looking to give penny auctions a go.

Worst auction experience of my life. I spent 6 hours bidding on an item. When the timer hit zero, I had the high bid. It congratulated another bidder and gave it to them. The next item I bid on, the time hit zero, I had the high bid again. There was a 2 second pause and then another bid came in and the time reset. Customer service said when the timer runs out Bid Buddy checks to see if it had to put in any bidsfor anyone. Deal Dash is a complete scam.
Hi Robin, I'm very sorry to hear about your negative experience. When someone has bids booked in their BidBuddy the auction can not end which is why the auction continued. We recommend using the BidBuddy because the majority of the auctions are won this way.
