Running a 2018 device and expected smoke jajaajaja. But chats open fast, video scales down instead of crashing, and battery drain is… survivable. Notifications sometimes pile up then arrive all at once, which is mildly grr, but not a deal breaker.
I was mad at my balance the first week, then I set a weekly cap and stuck to text until someone showed real effort... Now the spend feels like coffee money, not a rent payment. The platform can't pick your pace...
Hi, Virginia. Smart approach! Setting a weekly cap and pacing your chats is a great way to keep credit spending manageable—like coffee money instead of a rent bill 😄. You’re right, the platform can’t set the pace, but planning your own rhythm works perfectly.
Tried VR once, cool novelty, not my daily thing. Real spark still came from one simple question about a photo a dog wearing sunglasses, absolute icon. We laughed, swapped stories, and that`s how it should be.
Hi, Stephen. That’s exactly the kind of moment we love hearing about! While VR is a fun extra, genuine connections—like laughing over a photo of a dog in sunglasses—are what make the experience memorable. For any questions or tips on making chats more meaningful, contact [email protected].
I asked why verification took hours and expected a wall of policy. The reply actually explained the steps in plain language and apologized for the delay. No miracles, but I walked away understanding the why. That matters.
Hi, Gary. We’re glad our team could clarify things for you! 🌟 Clear, simple explanations and timely support are important to us. Thanks for sharing—it helps us keep improving the Dating.com experience.
I work nights and needed a place that isn't a doom-scroll pit (kno what i mean?). Jumped in after a tough shift, and within minutes I had a chill back-and-forth about cooking fails. I didn't touch video, kept it cheap, and still felt connected. Sometimes "okay" is exactly what you need.
Hi, Fred. We love hearing this! 🌟 It’s great that Dating.com provided a chill, meaningful connection after your shift. Keeping it simple and affordable while still feeling engaged is exactly the experience we aim to provide.
Day one I kept missing profile edits and settings, which felt clunky. Day three, my hands did it without thinking. I still think a cleaner layout would help new folks stop bouncing. Tech-wise it's smooth, so it's mostly about showing the path better.
Hi, Rhonda. Thank you for sharing your experience! 🌟 We’re glad the app runs smoothly for you. Your feedback on layout and onboarding is valuable—helping new users navigate more easily is something we’re always looking to improve.
Yes, the site gives early-2010 vibes. But after a week I realized I hadn't seen a single crash, and the filter catches rude stuff fast. I prefer reliable over shiny. Add a dark mode and bigger fonts and we're golden. Until then, I'll squint a little lolll
Hi, Lois. Thanks for your feedback! 😊 We’re glad you value reliability and the filters. Your suggestions for dark mode and larger fonts are noted—improving usability is important to us. Until then, we appreciate your patience and sense of humor!
I expected emoji emoji emojiand "hey" walls. Instead I got a teacher who asked about my d umb cookie experiments and a guy who wanted book swaps. We took it slow, stayed on text for a week, then did one voice call. The platform seems to reward that pace. Nothing felt pushy, just steady. I'm not a huge spenderso this rhythm works.
Hi! That’s wonderful to hear! 🌟 We’re so glad you’re finding genuine, thoughtful connections on Dating.com. Taking things slow and using a steady rhythm is a great way to build trust and enjoy meaningful chats without overspending.
Had an upload fail on a voice note and thought, here we go. Wrote in, got a reply that explained what happened, how to avoid it, and what they could or couldn't do. No fluff, no "please rate us five stars!" Just a normal, respectful exchange that fixed my problem. I stayed because of that. Not perfect grown-up service is rare online.
Hi, Carlos! We’re truly grateful for your kind words! Our team strives to offer clear, respectful support — no scripts, just real help. It’s wonderful to know that approach made a difference for you. If you ever need assistance again, don’t hesitate to reach out at [email protected].
I joined in April, expecting chaos, but the engine's solid. Messages hit fast, and HD calls stayed steady on my average 4G. I torched my first 120 credits because I jumped to video the second someone said "hi." That's on me. Now I keep text for the first day, short voice on day two, and maybe a tiny video after. Suddenly I'm spending half as much and enjoying chats more. Verification every few months is a buzzkill, sure, but I get why it exists... keeps the vibe adult and calmer.
Hi, Nora. We really appreciate your thoughtful feedback! It’s great to hear you’re enjoying smoother connections and finding a good rhythm with messaging and calls. Verification does help us keep Dating.com authentic and respectful, and insights like yours help us improve. For any feature tips, reach out anytime at [email protected].
My biggest fear joining any dating platform at forty-two was running into endless small-talk zombies. Dating.com's Let's Mingle tool nearly lost me at first; the default greeting feels mass-produced. A mentor on a private forum suggested rewriting it with one ultra-specific reference to my bee-keeping hobby. Magic. Reply rate tripled in a day, and the people who answered already knew I'm the sort who wears a veil on weekends. We moved to voice clips quickly, spending maybe six credits for a pair of five-minute exchanges. Now I reserve video for the handful who pass the bee test. Works like a charm, and credits last ages
Hi Kathryn,
Thank you for such a detailed and thoughtful review. Your experience highlights exactly how Dating.com is designed to work when members personalize their approach and use tools strategically. The ability to customize greetings, switch between text, voice, and video, and manage credits intentionally gives users real control over how connections develop. We’re especially glad to hear that refining your introduction led to more meaningful conversations and better use of credits. It’s great to see the platform supporting authentic interactions rather than endless small talk. In future, if you have any difficulties using our features, you can contact the customer support team via chat, phone, or email [email protected].
I filed a ticket on 11 June about a stuck notification badge that wouldn't clear. Initial answer in twenty minutes, suggested cache clear, which failed. Next day the agent checked back unprompted, forwarded logs to engineers, and by evening a patch landed on TestFlight. Issue gone, badge gone, faith restored. In an era where many platforms ghost their paying members, this level of follow-through deserves a nod.
Hi Stanley,
Thank you for the feedback. Our goal is always to provide a helpful, efficient, and meaningful platform for people to connect, and we’re glad your experience with our customer support team aligned with those standards.
TRY TO CANCEL WITH THESE CROOKS AND IT IS IMPOSSIBLE.BEST BET IS TO USE YOUR CREDIT CARD FROM YOUR BANK AND REPORT IT.
Dear Adam,
Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re sorry to hear about the difficulty you faced canceling your account.
You can easily stop any renewal or delete your profile directly from your account settings, or our support team can assist immediately if contacted through [email protected]. Please know we never process charges once a subscription is canceled successfully, we’ll be glad to help you verify that right away.
It's obvious that many if not all of the "verified" accounts are fake. After talking to someone for a while, we talked via video and it was him in the video. I thought that confirmed he was real. Guess what? Just to be sure, I did some further digging. On facecheck.id (don't use Google Images, it turned up nothing despite his pictures being all over the internet), I found out this guy from the US doesn't exist. Nothing he said was true. He's an actor from another country and yet he's been "verified". How does that happen? I'm assuming dating.com pays actors/models to keep people on the site and paying. Don't waste your time or money. It's disgusting what these people are doing!
Dear RS.,
Hello, we appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Dating.com verifies accounts through a combination of internal checks and video confirmation, but we recognize that no system is entirely foolproof. We do not pay actors or models to engage with members. If a profile seems misleading or fraudulent, we strongly encourage reporting it immediately so our moderation team can investigate and take action. Your vigilance helps us maintain a safer community, and we apologize for any frustration this situation caused.
How is this site still active. They spam every non suspecting person that comes in contact with the fairy tale of their dreams coming true. They will take your money and suck you in so deep you wont know what hit you, and thousands of dollars later you will lose not only your mind but your money too... you are welcome
Thank you for sharing your experience. At Dating.com, we strive to create genuine connections and maintain transparency in all transactions. We strongly discourage any form of spam and continuously work to protect our users from scams. If you feel you’ve encountered suspicious activity or unauthorized charges, please reach out to our support team immediately as we're unable to pull up your account using the ID given so we can investigate and assist you directly. Your safety and trust are our top priorities.
Title: 18-Month Romance Scam Protected by Dating.com and Its Sister Sites Over the course of 18 months, I was engaged in what I believed was a genuine connection with a man named Dr. Vincent Turner, claiming to be a surgeon in Caracas. We talked across multiple platforms owned by Dating.com: Amaldate, Zendate, YourChristianDate, Astrolove, EuroDate, and others. He consistently refused video chats, reintroduced himself as a new contact multiple times, and used repeated scripted lines. Sometimes he claimed he was at home enjoying solitude — then minutes later said he was busy at work as a surgeon. He asked "How are you?" after we'd already been chatting. It became clear I wasn't speaking to one person — but to a bot or rotating script handlers. Now that I'm asking direct questions, he's stopped responding — but still sends scripted "flowers and candy" messages instead. You allow these profiles to remain active because they encourage credit spending — not genuine connection. This isn't a misunderstanding. It's a pattern of scripted manipulation, and I've submitted everything to the FTC, BBB, IC3, and other consumer protection agencies. The longer you ignore this, the more obvious your company's role becomes. (Dating.com User ID: *******7331 – Username: Bucko)
Dear Alyce,
Thank you for your detailed message and for taking the time to share your concerns. We understand how distressing this situation has been for you, and we sincerely regret that your experience on our platform has left you feeling unheard and unsupported. Please allow us to respond respectfully and clearly to the points you’ve raised.
1. Your Case and Allegations Regarding “Vincent Turner”
We have thoroughly reviewed your case, including all prior correspondence and the documentation you provided. While we understand your frustration regarding the prolonged and emotionally difficult nature of the interaction, we must clarify that http://DateMyAge.comDateMyAge.com> is a communication service platform. As outlined in our Terms and Conditions, we are not responsible for the personal outcomes of individual interactions or relationships formed on our site.
We have taken your claims seriously and investigated the account in question. However, based on the information available, we have not found sufficient evidence of fraudulent behavior that meets the criteria set forth in our Anti-Scam Policy.
2. Duplicate Accounts and Messaging Services:
We would also like to confirm that we have previously shared with you the relevant information regarding any duplicate accounts you created on the platform. Furthermore, we have explained how our “Let’s Mingle” service functions, as well as the cross-platform messaging features that allow users to be contacted across affiliated sites when opted in.
3. Refund and Chargeback Clarification:
Regarding your claim that a refund was falsely reported:
The chargeback amount you referenced was not refunded by us directly, but was disputed via a chargeback initiated through your financial institution. This was made up of many transactions, and this is the total amount we see on our system.
When chargebacks are filed, the funds are automatically frozen by the bank while they review the case. This means we do not have access to or control over the funds during this process.
The final decision on whether a refund is issued lies with your bank, not with http://DateMyAge.comDateMyAge.com>.
4. On Your Escalation Request:
We acknowledge your request to escalate this matter to executive departments. While this response comes from our senior support team, we assure you that your complaint has been reviewed at a higher level within our customer care and compliance framework. Should any new evidence be presented that indicates a violation of our Terms or Anti-Scam Policy, we are fully committed to re-evaluating the case.
We value transparency, and we’re committed to improving the experiences of our users. While we cannot guarantee romantic or emotional outcomes on the platform, we do care about the safety and satisfaction of every member and are continuously working to refine our moderation and support processes.
If you have any additional questions or need further clarification, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We are here to help within the framework of our policies.
The amount of money laundering, user/member scamming on these sites that are owned by Sol Networks, and The Social Discovery Group, is of such an industrial scale, that I am quite certain that these sites have been setup to purposefully get members hopes up to meet someone special; The reason I am saying this, is because of over the many years I have been a member there (spent over a hundred-thousand-US-$ actively searching), every time I got serious with a member, crazy weird things would start to happen; From the member all of sudden turning against me, to that party having a traumatic event such as real-life, and even debilitating accidents, stuff stolen from them: purses, phones, real property damages, bank accounts raided, etc. No, I am not accusing foul play by the ownership/managers of these sites; But I do believe some bad actors are actively crawling (probably undetected from the general code-writers), and such these *undetected bad actors are purposefully being an adversary to every things that is good about relationships.
*And yes, such have threatened me physically, crawled in my private emails, text messages, phone calls, DROPPED messages DIRECTLY in the chat with members that I was becoming serious with. These incidents have occurred with such recognizable patterns, that they unmistakeable.
Dear McGuyver,
Thank you for sharing your concerns with us. We take accusations of fraud and misuse very seriously, and we're deeply sorry that you’ve had such negative experiences.
We are committed to creating a safe space for genuine connections, and we continuously monitor for suspicious activity, including potential scams or external interference. We appreciate your feedback, and we're genuinely sorry for the distress this has caused. If you would like assistance with account security or any other issues, we are here to support you.
Undoubtedly, this website is a carefully organized scam. And this is definitely not a website for people looking for a serious relationship. I have now read the responses from the Dating administration to negative comments and I admit that I haven't read such dark humor in a long time. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. What I like most is the comment that there is a team of moderators working around the clock. Yes, 24 hours a day. At first glance, the website seems suspicious. The credit communication system does not provide an opportunity to develop meaningful and long-term friendships. The $160 subscription will last you for a few days, while the nearly $400 subscription will last you at most a week. Sometimes you have to spend $1,500 to met a bit someone. Another red flag is popular and verified users. There are the most of them. All beautiful, highly educated, filthy rich and lonely... Well, these users are the so-called chat moderators. Their job is to keep the conversation going for as long as possible at all costs across multiple chat and contact lines. They will never establish real contact with you, you will not receive an email or phone number from them. Their task is to remain anonymous to you for as long as possible. This is the most important condition for maintaining the status of a popular and free member. Nobody knows who is a free member, except the administration and the free and popular user. If you insist too much on another, more civilized way of communicating, they will make a thousand excuses or stop contacting you. I found one of these verified and popular members on social media. It turned out that he had been in a happy relationship for many years. These popular members work from different locations, bringing profits to the platform and toying with people's feelings in the worst possible way. There is no morality there, there are no scruples or remorse, there is only money. They lie on purpose, extort very expensive gifts, use various methods of very sophisticated manipulation. This clever manipulation is called "fattening and killing pigs" (a popular social engineering technique used by dating site employees and chat moderators). It involves bombarding you with love messages without context, constant compliments, making promises, false interest in your past and present until he gain trust. Later, a phase straight from hell is called the "killing the pig" phase. During this time, the manipulator bombards the victim alternately with messages about transcendent love and messages that make no sense, as if he were writing to a complete stranger about buying a car or interviewing for a newspaper. It sends extremely contradictory signals. When the confused victim asks what's going on, the fraudster tries in various ways to convince the victim that has emotional problems. Then comes the final phase. In this phase, the abuser informs the confused victim that is end. You have to pay the equivalent of $13 on average to read one letter. On average, you pay $13 to listen to a voicemail. On average, you pay $13-15 to open one photo. Their profiles are also powered by chat bots, with letters and messages often written by AI. Informing support about the fraud will not bring any results. They act as if there is no problem, explaining that they cannot provide a user's information, explaining that they cannot force a popular user to share his e-mail address, phone number or make a video call, ignoring the evidence of fraud and the fact that this popular and verified user just scammed out of several thousand dollars deliberately selling a poor illusion. Is this called complicity in a crime? At one point I thought that in light of the overwhelming evidence of fraudulent activity some of the verified and popular users, their profiles would be banned. Absolutely noooo... These profiles are still active to this day with fake data. So the question remains about the anti-scam system, which is the pride of Dating.com, I assume? The administration often boasts about it. What kind of system is this that cannot perform simple functions that search for user data in all websites? Pathetic. If such a system existed at all, there would not be such devastating comments about the company's fraudulent activities. I think that the Dating.com administration has in mind a system for collecting sensitive data (ID cards, face scans, phone numbers, e-mails) of honest and uninformed users of the platform. I suggest additionally securing your life savings, because at some point it may turn out that you no longer have them or someone took a loan using your personal data. In short, a shameful slaughterhouse for your money.
Dear Michelle,
We truly appreciate you sharing your experience, and we’re genuinely sorry to hear about the frustration and disappointment you’ve faced. We want to directly address each of the concerns you’ve raised and clarify our stance:

2. Subscription Pricing and Credit System
We understand that the pricing model can seem steep, and we genuinely appreciate you bringing it up. Our system is designed to offer premium services, but we know that it should always be transparent and provide value to members, thus we made it transparent by outlining it on the Terms of use agreement that you have agreed with upon registration. We encourage you to reach out to our support team if you feel the pricing doesn’t align with your experience, and we’ll do our best to assist you or explore alternatives. 3. Popular & Verified Users
We take your concerns about "popular and verified users" very seriously. It’s essential that profiles, including verified ones, are genuine. If you suspect that a profile is being operated by someone who is not acting in good faith, or if they’re not providing a legitimate way of connecting, such as email or video calls, please report that profile to us. We want our users to build authentic relationships, not to feel manipulated.
4. Reporting Scams

We want you to feel supported, so please reach out again, and we will make sure your concerns are heard and acted upon.
5. Feeling Like It’s All About Money
It’s deeply concerning to hear that you feel this way, and we’re really sorry if this is the impression we’ve given. Our goal is to foster genuine connections and help people find meaningful relationships. If it ever feels like money is prioritized over user experience, that’s something we need to improve. Your experience matters to us, and we want to make it right.
We’re committed to making your experience on Dating.com better, and we’re always open to hearing more about how we can improve. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us with any further concerns or questions at [email protected] – we’re here to listen and support you.
Well I saw an ad for dating.com sandwiched in a news article I was reading. It featured a photo of a breathtakingly beautiful mature female. I was hooked instantly. Now one week and about $500 later I've realized that it is one of the slickest rackets I've ever seen. The "female members" that stroke your ego with flattering messages within 5 minutes of creating your profile are actually 1-900 (if anyone remembers those days) sales agents that are reeling you in to the tune of about $300 USD an hour with their chat credit system. Don't honestly know if they were even female. They also try to up sell you on emojis that you are supposed to buy to show your interest in them costing between several hundred USD and several thousand dollars USD each. Hate to break it to you fellas but, Marina, Jessica and whoever else you're talking to has no interest or intention of connecting with you on any level whatsoever. I indicated that I was interested in females aged 50 to 60 and was bombarded with chat offers from 60 year old women that looked like college students...1st red flag. Kinda wonder now why I wasn't able to connect with at least one of the real females that have complained about the site. Mad respect for the people that made this racket happen...have to give credit where credit is due. Wondering which hell hole? (Nigeria, India, Russia, China etc) these "members"were operating from. One dude operating 3 or 4 chat lines at once x 10 = cash cow. Good one fellas you had me going there for a minute.Would give 5 stars for its diabolical creativity but zero for ethics.
Hi there,
We’re really sorry to hear about your experience, and we truly appreciate you taking the time to share your concerns. We take issues related to misleading practices and suspicious activity very seriously. Dating.com works hard to ensure the authenticity of profiles and communication between members. If you’ve encountered anything that didn’t seem right, we encourage you to report it so we can investigate.
Regarding your billing concerns, if you’ve been charged unexpectedly or for services you didn’t intend to use, our customer support team at [email protected] is available to help resolve these issues and assist with managing your subscription.
We strive to provide a safe, genuine environment for all users, and your feedback is valuable to help us improve.
This whole website is a scam, it takes your money and gives you fake profiles. You have to spend a ton of money just to send messages to people, but every profile that messages you IS A BOT. They send you tons of messages to get you talking so you spend money. It is a complete scam; all of the verified and featured user profiles are bots and use stolen photos. Do not use this website and do not let your older relatives use this website for dating, they will not realize it's a scam and waste their money. Not only are most of the 'hot' profiles bots but the other real profiles are weird and creepy.
Dear Haley
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction.
Our website has been operational for a very long time and we are always striving to make sure that all of our members are genuine. We ensure that all the confirmed profiles on our site are genuine by making sure we have seen their verification documents, such as their passport, prior to allowing them access to our website.
Also, we have implemented an Anti-Scam Policy to protect you and make you feel secure on our site.
Kindly provide us with the user's ID number, a brief description, and any supporting material to prove these claims. We would require you to send screenshots of all evidence that shows this user is fake, furthermore, kindly note we do have anti-scam policies in place to protect you and if this is true we would refund all credits spent on this user - provided that they are a verified member. (has a blue badge on a profile).
If you find such profile please send us link at [email protected]
Answer: TOTAL SCAM! I paid to test and see because my first impression was really bad, very fake profiles with basically the same texts. I also found it weird that as soon as I looked at a profile the person would shoot me a message... and this site doesn't show who's viewing your profile... another strange fact is that you don't have the option to delete your profile. I deleted everything, my pictures but could not exclude it. Anyway, don't waste your money, total scam. I also bought credits 1 day and had to cancell/block my credit card because the site charged me 5 times in a row on the same day, so they also work with extorsion...
Answer: Hi Curtis! Yes! Absolutly all our members are real! We have a special verification team to check all our members are real. We don't have any fake profiles on our platform. If you met any suspicious profile, please contact our CSD team. Best regards, Alex
Answer: Yes, I am a woman, I had been on the dating. Communities website for almost 3 months, I know very well as after they sent the email, I have to pay 10 credit to read each email. Even pictures, photo, video clip. If they are real why after chatting for months we already talking about marriage and still they refused (not one but 4 men from that website) to give real contact, email and wechat ID. In China wechat is very common even 80 years old have wechat. The men on thus site all claimed too old for wechat. That is really wired. Please be careful, those who said good review here, may be also their people. I am one of the victim who lose 5000 USD. I knew better.
Answer: Hi Robert! Absolutly not! All messages are created only by users. To make chat invite you can use Mingle service. Best regards, Alex
Answer: There are real people behind the photos. But they do not look for a real partner. You just pay and chat people under their profiles. Maybe just operators.
Answer: Yeah, I totally agree with you Regina. I tried asking them to keep in touch on Instagram or Facebook, and I did not receive any responses. Moreover, they kept sending me the same messages and emails. I've been wondering whether they are real or not.
Answer: No, you will not! If you use the tokens and do not realize that it's by the minute it goes fast... also, emailing costs more and they must get paid to chat with you! All the men are fake!
Answer: You can not exchange contact details in the dating.com because the person whom your chatting with is a staff of the site pretending to be the person in the picture.
Answer: Dating.com is a bad site at, they specialize in scamming people. They cover scammers. When I give all the evidence to prove Fake membership of the website, but they always give the reasons of being unintentional, irresponsible, wasting time, going around. I spent a lot of money for a member, but they returned me the wrong amount and even said it was their good deed. Here, I am the one who gives money, but I receive all Fake people, don't think you are charitable for others. There are many Fake members in Dating.com. I have proof, proving they're fake. I ask Dating.com to pay me back for the exact amount I spent.
Answer: Hi! We accept debit cards and PayPal. If you have any issues purchasing the service please contact customer support at [email protected]

Hello, Ellen. Glad your old device is holding up! Our app is designed to scale video and handle chats smoothly even on older phones 😄. Notifications can be a bit jumpy at times, but it sounds like it’s not slowing you down.
