I have e-mailed Crave FIVE times about the promo code they sent me (50% off for 4 months) and said that this promo code doesn't work. They kept saying that it should work, trying to make me renew my subscriptions. Liars and scammers! I hope HBO will use some other platform in Canada for their content.
I had a lot of issues with programs freezing on my TV. I submitted a request for support online, but two weeks passed with no response, so I called support on the phone. They suggested streaming Crave from my computer instead. Not satisfactory, so I cancelled.
I've subscribed to Crave for a couple of years now, and did not have a problem until today.
I had decided that in order to save money, I'd pay the annual fee of $99. Crave boasts a 'cancel at any time' policy so I subscribed December 2019, so that was fine. According to how I read the contract at that time, I read it as if I cancelled in June, I would not be entitled to a refund for the 6 months I didn't use the service, and that was fine. THAT part is important to remember! Come September, I learned I contracted Covid-19. As a result, I knew I would have to leave my job. I cancelled Crave the beginning of October by going through the online service.
A couple of weeks later, I tested that Crave was cancelled by attempting to sign in via tv. I recieved a 'you will need to subscribe' screen, so I felt satisfied that it was cancelled.
Today, I went to grab food for us and found I had MUCH less in my account! CRAVE automatically 'renewed' my ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION PACKAGE $290. +!
I looked at my Crave account, and it indeed showed I had renewed! I cancelled AGAIN online, and contacted customer service. I was told the agreement said 'no refunds'. I told her I had previously cancelled, and yet was renewed without agreement to which I was told I was "reminded Dec 15,2020 via email". I gave her the benefit of the doubt, and checked ALL of December, and nothing ever came from Crave! This 'agent' "Sherry", told me that if I couldnt log in to Crave, I should've contacted an agent! I thought I had forfeited the remainder of my subscription at a loss, so why would I have called? I WOULD have responded and questioned the reminder IF it had been received, but alas, it was not!
Long story shortened... I'm out my car insurance and food money, and I need a pro-bono lawyer.
I bought Fire TV stick and cannot get Crave to work. All of the other apps work except Crave. I have been in contact with their tech support and they keep saying it is a problem on my end. Really disappointed with Crave.
Worst movie on Crave. Preview showed a different movie and thought that was the one we were selecting but it was not would like my money back
Purchased subscription on Dec 13 for $20/mo (Crave, HBO, movies) and I can't watch anything without constant buffering during prime time. No other service, such as Netflix, has this problem. I called customer service and they want me to call back at night when "I'm experiencing difficulties". I think I will just cancel because I know I will just jump through a bunch of hoops with no positive result. Crave is owned by Bell Media -- figures. They are a terrible company
Pay $20 a month to look at blank screens and error screens. Enjoy all the typical problems associated with bell, but now online :) No way of reporting issues and the response from crave is to burry its head under the sand and ignore the problems. Good stuff Love living in Canada where we protect these amazing companies from any real competition
It's actually a disgrace how overtly they ride the coattails of content and give zero fks about how frustrating the various points of access are to use. Crave is crap and has always been crap but it's all we have for HBO and they know it. Have some degree of respect for your clients, Bell media.
Crave TV is a $#*!ing piece of $#*!. Stealing money from my bank account every month. $#*!ing goofs.
I got the free trial and coudn't cancel it without emailing customer service. So I emailed them BEFORE the next month was charged and they still charged me for another month. When I challenged this, they stopped answering. I obviously didn't watch a thing on that service because they don't have one single good show without the extra subscriptions. Don't bother with that service and don't even try the free trial, it's bit worth it.
Keeps buffering - tried everything to fix it and make it run! Must be Canadian, they don't CARE just take your money - will cancel - another Canadian success story down the drain! GOOD RIDDANCE!
I can not find a word to describe how bad the CraveTV video player is. Your thinking "oh it can't be that bad right?" Wrong... you cannot select episodes between seasons or skip episodes for that matter. If you forget to pause or end up sleeping through a couple episodes, guess what, you now have to live with it because you can't go back, Lmao.
Do yourself a favour and pirate What you want to watch, Crave doesn't deserve your money.
Do not get it. Netflix is better it never loads and it can't even remember which episode you were last on. Or the language you use. Also you gotta pay extra for certain things if you wanna watch it that's all inclu already on Netflix crave blows!
The service was okay until it stopped working. The program just stopped loading and finally I cancelled the subscription. I would get billed even though I sent emails to right the sign in issue. I have had no problems with Neflix or Prime.
Crave app on Samsung TV. Unusable crap. Crave app on PS4 console - takes over 20 min to load if ever. Crap. Crave app on iPhone. For the love of god, what kind of idiot designed this app?
Crave could give me a year of free tv. I WOULD NOT USE IT. Total garbage. Save yourself a massive headache and stay away from Crave tv.

I have a 84" Samsung, less than a year old. Along with crave, I also have Amazon, and Netflix, which both work flawlessly. However, Crave gives me an error 50% of the time while switching episodes. The tech peeps tell me to unplug the tv, wait 10 secs, plug in, and try again. Great, I works, but only for a day or two. Essentially, I have to rearrange my furniture because the plug isn't easily accessible, every couple of days or so if I want to watch Crave seamlessly. I'm sure that I'll cancel Crave after ive finished watching GOT, and Southpark. Granted, they have some quality programming, but they cost more than Amazon and Netflix combined. My opinion is that the frustration outweighs the quality, and the quantity of Netflix and Amazon. Maybe I'll try again down the road, I love GOT and will want to watch again.
Keeps buffering literally watched half a show, I've been watching netflix all day and never buffered once and I wanted to watch a show that wasn't on Netflix and thought I'd give it a try and it's terrible.
I subscribed to Crave monthly for 6 months. The day after I received my receipt for the next billing month, I could no longer access Crave. After troubleshooting with customer service for 1 hour, they were not able to fix/identify the issue. I asked for my account to be cancelled along with a reimbursement for the current billing month. Crave doesn't provide refunds, poor poor policy especially when the issue is on their end. Contacted my credit card provider, they insure I will receive a refund in the next 48 hours. Make sure you get a cancellation email to prevent them from dinging you again after cancellation! Do not recommend Crave.
I have enjoyed crave for about 2 years. Now starting in july the app on my phone no longer works and the chromecast tv no longer accepts the cast. Support from crave indicates my phone is no out of date and my 2 year old tv (toshiba) no longer accepts cast from crave. I paid for a year subscription and 2 months into this everything has stopped working. I want a refund, but Crave doesn't provide refunds, so that's 10 months of free money to bell/crave, what a bunch of thieves..
Its very difficult to connect and stay connected to crave, not nearly as user friendly as Netflix. It took 2 hrs to connect today... unhappy with the service.

Answer: Because they only offer the absolute bare minimum for a streaming service, I suspect the ONLY reason it has lots of subscribers because crave seems to offer more rare shows, but for a bigger price mind you.

Answer: You can't! In the settings online, there is an option, but it doesn't carry over to whatever streaming device you're using it with. Incompetent morons, owned and operated by Canada's leading internet service provider. And Bell Media wonder why people don't like them. My sister has a theory... that Bell keeps their website design backward and out of sync with current progress, so they have an excuse to charge you extra money for their incompetence.
