Craigslist Reviews Summary

The overall reputation of the company is significantly marred by customer dissatisfaction, particularly regarding its platform's functionality and customer service. Users frequently express frustration over the arbitrary removal of legitimate posts, with many feeling that the site is overrun by scams while genuine listings are flagged without explanation. Craigslist removed my ad for an activity partner listing. There was no reason to remove it and it makes no sense. I wont be using them anymore. After they removed my ad I did some searching and found that Oodle.com, offerup.com, and classifiedads.com are better.

Posting on Craigslist is a joke. You spent a half hour making an ad, only for it to get flagged and removed nearly immediately by trolls, since Craigslist let's everyone and their mother flag ads without reason. You try contacting Craigslist about the issue and they're too good to even reply. If you're lucky enough for your ad to not get flagged two minutes after you post it, you will get contacted by nothing but spammers, scammers, and time wasters. All the people who claim to be interested in buying or even taking something for free are "no shows", and aren't even kind enough to tell you they changed your mind. You'll wait around all day for people to never show up. Conversely, buying is a nightmare as well. People never respond to their ads, which leads you to wonder why they put one up in the first place if they have no intention to sell. And don't even get me started on all the puppy mill and other inappropriate ads Craigslist doesn't remove.

Colorado Customs services
I had the horrible dishonor of working for this company for a week. I was treated like a dog verbally abused by management and owner Bill. Was left stranded 50 miles away from my car and had to walk back in 100 degree heat. I was not paid the $200 that was owed to me. I am homeless sleeping in my car and was treated like a savage wild animal. If Bill and Jerry can treat a human being like this I can't see how they could run a business or be trusted with a open check. Run stay far away. Too sum it up, Run far far away from these horrible people.

Any legit ad is flagged on some technicality and the rest are all spammer scammers. Don't waste your time. Even posting using only the relay leaves your phone number getting bombed with spam calls. I get up to 30 scammer calls a day after I post on CL. Dump this site for good. Its yesterday years news. Washed up.

Don't Bother
May 30, 2021
Updated review

You have to be really careful dealing with people especially high-ticket items. Time-wasters, spammers and scammers are rampant here so expect that.

1. They don't notify you when a listing expires. They do tell you on the website but be honest, how many people would actually check or remember?

2. They hide the potential buyer's email from me yet the potential buyer could see my email upon response. This is irritating because the potential buyer could sometimes be a persuasive bot which then grabs your email or phone number the moment you respond. Not very pleasant considering how much email and text spams we get nowadays. For example, someone emailed me and I responded within minutes. Yet the "person" somehow said "thanks I found one already". This has happened 3 times within two weeks for 2 different items; in other words, there's no way that all 3 communications led to the person "finding another one" so quickly. It's unrealistic and just a waste of my time.

3. With that being said, I used this website for over a decade and they have not once tried to implement any new features to deter bots and spammers. Not even adding CAPTCHAS. For now, it's best to just ignore whatever suspicious emails you get from "buyers".

Craigslist.com DO NOT review ads by people properly. I have used them for years and I have applied to a lot of "seemingly" legitimate jobs and I did not get any replies. In fact, I felt raped and violated because I submit cover letter, resume and contact information as requested but got no response; not even a rejection. This made me feel extremely uncomfortable not knowing if this person just wants your personal information and not even a legit employer.

On top of that, Craigslist.com used to be full of spam, and I would get almost 4-5 emails a day with things like "is this still available?" when it's clearly a scam. If you reply to it, they will ask you to wire money or something. They also did not recognize my password even though it was correct and every two weeks, I had to change it because my password stopped working after two weeks. I have contacted them about this but got no reply.

Also, they should really fish out those ridiculously stupid ads that are not even serious or absolutely disgusting such as people who are hiring someone to "clean" their house but of course, asks you to send photos of yourself (in bathing suit or under garments) and state that you have to be "sexy", etc.. this is just nasty, IMO.

Lastly, the lowballers and other annoying people should be reported or scammers should also be able to be reported. They now make all email addresses anonymous for people who reply to my ad, but they should be hiding MY email address (during direct email contact) since all these people could be spamming me, not the other way around! It made absolutely no sense as I could not report these fake gmail accounts that kept spamming me. They should consider making a message box option so emailing wouldn't have to be an option. I have to make a separate email account just for Craigslist.

On a side note, it's kind of annoying to post all details and info about something in your ad, just to have people reply and ask repetitive questions like the price, condition, etc when it was already stated in the ad.

It's not a pain in the butt to post ads, they seemed to have did something about the annoying spam, and it's fairly easy and straight forward to use. However, there needs to be improvements.. and oh, be careful of people. The fact that this place is almost dead.. with obnoxious idiots on the forums, and constantly lowballers, scammers and spammers.. I am not recommending this.

Live Here!
May 23, 2021

I just moved into the Addison at Universal in Orlando, FL and this is best place I have ever lived. The staff really cares about the place looking nice and clean. I live facing the pool and on the weekends it is busy but I can assure you the office staff are on it regarding residents and guests not tearing up the amenities. Everyone is super nice and it is like living at a resort. Very pet friendly and they even have a pet spa. Office closes at 6pm but they have someone that works until 9pm so the pool, technology room, and inside amenities are available. Don't waste your money on these other over priced complex, here you actually get what you pay for! Thank you staff!

5/21 I used Craigslist to find a local mover. It worked out excellent! Not only did Larry show up 10 min. Early, he and his partner worked fast and efficiently. I would recommend Budget Moving Service in Grand Rapids. I wish I could go on his ad and rate him there instead of doing it this way.

Contacted Hobbyman (Eric) about getting scratches fixed on a door and tailgate on my SUV. He had a great ad and after I spoke with him I decided to get the work done while I was away for the weekend. I was not happy when I pick up the car but in a rush just arriving from the airport. Paint showed numerous imperfections, I wasn't expecting perfection but the quality was very bad. I cooled down and a week later decided to call him to ask what went wrong and how unhappy I was. He responded by shouting at me telling me this is bull$#*! and hung up the phone. Lesson learned you get what you pay for. I wanted to save a few bucks now its going to cost me more to get it fixed the right way. Do yourself a favor and don't fall for his ad and his BS.

Job Post
May 6, 2021

Not worthy to get even a single star. You keep posting legit job without violating any of their terms and it will just get flagged and removed over and over again without a valid reason. Not very helpful. Free yes but useless

New to an area looking for motorcycle friends if I am not looking for a MALE who wants SEX all the postings get flagged no matter where I post them IE: general. I tried to find a female for my old lady who is interested in experimenting Flagged. I think it is time that Craigslist puts a little effort into suspending accounts for people who just want's sex 99.99% are men who don't care where they get it from. They post in spots other than activates, pretending to be plumbers, wood workers. What a joke, MWM Married White Male, lol can't get it at home I guess, only if their wife would find out, never mind the disease they spread.

I tried several posting adds to sell pre-owned belonging. I took the time to post good photo and gif text description of the items. I post. Craigslist send email back to confirm I can now see my add. I follow the email link and my add already flagged.? This is annoying and you have no idea why they flagged my adds. I try many times... same results with different products. Craigslist offer NO ANSWER AND NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. I am surprised they are still in business. I use many other websites to see my personal items and they are serious website with customers service and they rely to your questions. Also they other website so not allow other people to flag and block your adds without any valid reason and analysis. Craigslist is far behind in term of website model and no customer service... shocking and frustrating to try to user it. I will not loose my time anymore on Craigslist. Bad website

I have been looking to rent a room as a roommate for months and can not post an ad without getting flagged and then they refuse to explain why. I have been trying to reply to a number of roommate ads but the reply button never works and they never respond to my messages... I think i am banned for mentioning that I am a honest christian and safe to rent to, even though I made no reference to that after the first time... Since they like to post porn type ads, all I can think of is that the flaggers are all devil worshipers and probably all employees of Craigslist! I am looking for a different site to post

Jeff you are a LIAR & a THIEF and as long as you continue to do shady business you will have to keep changing your company name. PREVIOUSLY LISTED as Reliable Paint & Handy Services I hired Jeff Dungan to complete a whole home remodel that I needed renovated to move into. He seemed trustworthy and professional in the beginning of a 2 month incomplete process, that he said would take 4 weeks worst case 6 to complete. After 2 months of coming by to check on my home and realizing he was barely present and continuously LIED about the stages of the renovation that were completed. I let him know I was not satisfied with his work(doors not fully painted, some can't even close, horrible paint job) and lack of progress and decided to place a stop payment on my check after spending $20k. Jeff realized he wouldn't be able to keep taking money and not completing renovations and he went missing along with materials I had already paid for. I hired a contractor to come in after him to complete the job and was shown the damaged cabinet areas, uneven tile work and unpadded flooring. Ladies. Please do your research and Stay Away from JD!
