There's a hundred things wrong with Crackle. If you pause a movie just a little too long it will time itself out and you have to start all over again. If you fast forward or rewind it stimulates some kind of algorithm that will make you watch 6 commercials immediately before you can resume your show. and out of 6 commercials you can count on two of them repeating themselves during that set! Too much of a hassle to watch a free movie

The library of movies seems really appealing, until you watch a movie that is bombarded with far too many advertisements. It will take you 2 1/2 hours just to watch an hour and a half movie. From the beginning to the end of the movie, every five minuets or less, you will have to sit through 2 minuets of advertisements. This site really is so not worth it, the constant ad interruptions makes any good movie horrible to watch, not to mention the constant glitching and poor HQ. Spear yourselves the aggravation, do not engage with this very time consuming and troublesome movie site, it sucks beyond any words could ever describe. I am deleting my account A. S.A. P! If I could give this movie site a zero rating, I would have!

In May I bought a Sony streaming Blu-ray player. The big reason was the apps. One of which is Crackle. I found the 'service' problematic. Often getting a show or movie to play was a coin toss. While the commercial breaks are typically two minutes. They add a good half hour to the running time of a movie. Because of lag, I had no trouble hitting mute before the commercials started. Never tried fast forward.
For some reason the icon for the app states the service is ending 12/11/2019. The last time this notice appeared, for Hulu, the app became 'unsupported.' Forcing me to cancel the subscription. A second tier broadcast network offers similar content, but I need to record the shows I like. Where Crackle lets me view on demand.
One final puzzle. A commercial I recently saw on Crackle, asks for viewers to take survey. My search led me here.

Some decent film choices, but, I mean, c'mon, guys. I understand that this site is free, but in exchange, you'll have to prepare yourself for what is probably the most inconvenient, in-browser movie watching experience available on the Internet. In addition to the not-so-infrequent commercials, if you happen to walk away from your viewing device for 10 seconds at some point during during the last 20 minutes or so of the movie that you're watching, you might return to find that Crackle has decided that you're not going to finish what you're watching, but rather, you're going to start watching a show or movie that is not in your Watch Later list, but for some reason or another, the folks at Crackle think that you'll enjoy it better than finishing that film to which you've dedicated the last hour or so of your life. It's very much a thoughtless, garbage setup - then again, what can you expect from a young, fledgling company like Sony. Maybe once they've gotten some years under their belt, they'll get their crap together.

I appreciate that it had a film I needed to watch for a film class, but that's all I can say about this site. The ads are way too frequent and don't come in normally like an ad would on say Hulu. The ads cut in the middle of dialogue. How ridiculous is that? A character is in the middle of a sentence and then boom! 5 ads cut in the middle of what they're saying and I miss it so I have to rewind it, only it goes back too far and I'm stuck with the ads again. The buffering and lagging is also annoying. The site says it can be your connection, but all my other sites are working fine. The captions are pretty terrible too; they show up before the words are spoken and they're disorganized like one character was saying, "Yes, he's only seven years old. He needs me", but the captions say: "Yes. He needs Seven."
