I purchased a Costway brand dehumidifier in July 2020, ran it for two months during the summer and I restarted it in June of 2021. By the end of September the condenser coils in the back of the unit began to freeze. There is no way to access these coils to assess the repair or replace parts. I contacted Costway and they indicated since I purchased the unit in July of 2020 it was out of warranty. They refused to replace the unit or the defective parts. I explained the unit ran for a total of 7 months only. Costway refused to help. The customer service rep requested pictures of the defective unit and parts so I ran the unit, it iced up again and I took pictures and sent them along. The customer service department indicated the unit was defective (duh!) and to dispose of it. They were no help at all. They offered me a 5% discount on the same unit which cost me hundreds of dollars. Do not buy from this company or this brand, it sells cheap crappy products at a high price and they do not stand by the products bearing their name. Costway is definitely on my "DO NOT BUY LIST". I would zero rate Costway if it were possible.

3 Seats Patio Canopy Cushioned Steel Frame Swing Glider Hammock

Safety alert. Purchased above patio swing from Costway. After about 9 months and very sparing use, the seat tore down when I sat down and I fell into swing. Lucky I was not seriously injured. I weight only 150 lbs. someone heavier could have been badly hurt, broken their hips or something. I wrote to Costway about a replacement or refund about 4 weeks ago but no response yet.

Horrible Service

I don't like being an angry customer and having been the proprietor of my own businesses I know first hand the importance of good customer service
I have not received good customer service
But what does it take to get my order right

I have outlined thoroughly
1) I ordered specifically the blue footbath and I have witness to it that I clicked blue option
For whatever reason the original order say white when I DID IN FACT CLICK ON THE BLUE Yet received the white one
2) I hated the white one it looked like a large mop bucket
3) I explained this was for health reasons and needed it as soon as possible
4) I included photos of the footbath that I wanted
5) I was told I could not exchange it and had to fuss about that and when I asked for manager they sent return shipping label
6) I was told that Costway could not expedite the order Although I waited for delivery, received wrong
Footbath, had to receive return label, had to pay for car to get box to drop off, had to wait for new order
7) I was also told by signing up with email that I would receive 10 percent discount. Which I did not
8) I was also told I would receive $10 off instead I received a $10 off on my next order over $100

AND NOW RECEIVE THE SAME FOOT BATH AS I ORIGINALLY RECEIVED

DESPITE INCLUDING PHOTOS

AGAIN I want and received the white one again

Nonetheless less it's been weeks and they send the wrong one again

Horrible Company

I received my order which was not what I ordered. It is impossible to contact this company. I tried text, email and phone calls and never received a reply. Never order from them!

Tried to buy ice maker on three different occasions.
Told it is in stock and be delivered within 1 week. Every time they told us Fed ex lost it. Called Fed ex they never received it.
Don't waste your time buying here.

It won't last

Purchased round daybed from Costway via Walmart. After 2 years the canopy deteriorated to the point it's no longer usable even as a pattern. The cheap material used for the cushions and canopy grows mildew the first time exposed to any moisture (humidity included).
I contacted Costway by email to ask if they sell replacements. After a dozen back and forth emails for a week, the answer is no, they don't carry any replacement parts.
LPT: If you buy any outdoor furniture from Costway, take any/all fabric pieces (cushion covers, canopy, etc.) to your favorite sewing provider and have patterns and duplicates made - you're going to need them.

Costway model is that they take pride in being fast in delivery, but in Actuality you make an purchase and they start to send you fake delivery codes sending to fake websites and they have no customer support number they have an email you can send a message to but they never answer. COSTWAY IS A BIG SCAM I REPEAT COSTWAY IS A BIG SCAM DO NOT MAKE A PURCHASE

Order arrived on time... only plus.
Only 2 of 4 pieces for two drawers in a kitchen cart were wrong, duplicates.
Finally, after many attempts to reach a live person, got through and was told they would look for the missing pieces. A day later was told they could not be located and would we be OK with drilling holes in 2 duplicate pieces. We had a carpenter drill holes to the tune of $100. Requested and got a refund!
Also the user manual was less than helpful. Resorted to common sense to assemlbe the cart.

The order #******* was for 4 Pcs 195 lbs Base Weight.
I purchased #******* a heavier base 4pcs 238 lbs Umbrella Base Weight instead.
I cancelled order #******* on the website within 30 minutes of the purchase.
The company's cancellation policy states a full refund if cancelled online within 24hrs. The online and the email cancellation failed.
I've exchanged several emails with Costway attempting to resolve this issue with no result. One of the associates insist on charging for the return fee. I had a better discussion with another associate that agreed to a full refund in writing via email upon the item being returned. They issued a return label. But now insist on my paying a return fee.
Not a great company to deal with.
Beware of what you purchase, even if you cancel, they will ship it and dispute the return and charge you the return fee.

Customer Service is extremely poor. I was unable to contact anybody by phone.
E mails are replied by some young Chinese girls with poor english and no product knowledge. Very frustrating when they repeatedly do not answer your questions.
Instructions that come with the product (Evaportive Cooler) are written in very poor english,
Hard to understand and largely incomplete. I would never buy anything from them again
And I recommend you do not buy anything from them either.

Ice maker is less than a year old and will not kick on. Worked last sumeer and brought indoors
For the entire winter. Started this summer off ok and now is broken... so it was used august and sept last year and june and july this year. Costway customer service said have a nice day because the warranty is only 3 months on this garbage product. There is no phone number to any reps or associates and absolutely no help from the rep via email as to trouble shoot it or any directions on where/how to fix it. Do not buy any products from this company. Garbage company...

I order a jeep back in April for my son's birthday. I had to email to confirm the shipping because it took more than two weeks and packages came separately which I was unaware of. Because of this I was scared that the full shipment wouldn't go out because this is not a reputable company. When I did email the company they were very rude.

Fast forward to June and the motor is burnt up. I have emailed customer service a week ago and I have not received a email back.

I would never order from this company ever again. Beware.

Bad service
June 28, 2021

I ordered a workout bench. Some of the pieces arrived bent and the parts do not fit. Nuts are missing as well. I want to return the item for a refund and the company is giving me the run around. Instead they suggested I pay a professional to repair it! I am furious. I want my $330 refunded!

Taken for a ride

Order *******. Company notified initially 05/11/2021.
I ordered costway ride on excavator on 04/10/21. This was a birthday present for my two-year-old grandson.The item arrived on time; however, it was a bit longer transit than expected (CA to MT). The packaging was undamaged and the ride on excavator parts were intact.
We put the excavator together per the costway product pamphlet and we followed the instructions on charging prior to use. We wrapped a bow around it and could not wait to see our grandson's face when he got a ride on excavator.
Oh my! You should've seen the brokenhearted, disappointed and hurt look when he attempted to ride his costway ride on excavator on 5/09/21. The horn works (separate battery) but when you push the gas pedal it does not make any noise or attempt to move. His brother tried to push him and you could hear some noise of the engine engaging. But it did not move.
I immediately attempted to contact costway customer service; however, finding a functional, phone number for costway California is impossible! I sent emails to the only email option found on line, requesting support over phone to troubleshoot the issue. Email returned to me at 2:04 AM from costway Amelia requesting a video? Then another from costway Yuki requesting a video! I am a little taken back by this request- it seems unusual for a company to be requesting a personal video. But I comply because the grandson is so wanting his costway ride on excavator. When I sent the video I also gave personal phone number for myself and my son (USA Air Force mechanic) so that tech support could reach out and troubleshoot this. I have yet to hear from anybody via phone. But was offered "a refund of $60 as compensation and you take it to your local store to fix it?" from Amelia
I am not looking for partial payment on a defective item, I want this ride on excavator for my grandson. We do not have a local costway store in Montana. And I am sure that having someone else work on a costway product voids the company warranty on costway ride on excavator! I tell costway this, they send another that does not work and now they want more videos and pictures which I have sent despite the opinion of a USA AF mechanic that the motor is not functional. I just want the motor or the motor specs so I can have a functional gift for my 2 year old grandson.

Very satisfied

I ordered a set of folding chairs, one of which was bent, probably in shipping. They went out of their way to satisfy the error and even kept in touch afterward to make sure I was satisfied. That's what I call great business ethic, something that is extremely rare these days.

I purchased a 4 pc outdoor Rattan patio set for $439. The coffee table arrived & one end was badly bowed. So much so that it made the glass top unstable. I contacted them & asked for a replacement end. They stated they didn't have any parts and offered me $35. I told them no thanks I want the replacement part or if they couldn't provide that then a whole new table & offered to return the table at their expense. They then offered me $80 & again I declined, telling them I wanted the table that I paid for. They refused saying they could not break up a set. So after several days of arguing with them I told them I wanted $110 which is 1/4 of the cost of the 4 pc set. But I still have a table I can't use & $110 isn't enough to replace it. I will NEVER purchase from Costway again. Lousy customer service!

I bought cooler from costway and as soon as i received the merchandise i realize i made wrong purchase, i called the costway and they told me they send return label and just send it back which i did, but from $ 234. I got only $ 90 credit to my account, merchandise wasn't touch still in the box and deducting $143. To me this is rip off and i never buy anything from them.

They owe me $200 and refuse to reimburse me. They sold me a defective machine. The treadmill arrived only running backwards, when tightening the belt the rod and the bracket now rub together so I can not tighten the belt. The machine is unusable. They offered me a full refund, except! They had issued a "refund" as a way to pay for the repair person, that they suggested could fix the machine. Upon realizing it could not be fixed, they refunded me the rest. Meaning I am out the $200 for the repair man. They refuse to honor the refund, they refuse to answer me anymore. They have the worst customer service, they have stolen my money.

Nice Gazebo but

Purchased a 12x10 gazebo from Costway. While the Gazebo is nice I contacted Costway to try to purchase the two canopy tops so I can have a replacement. By past experience the top only lasts two years while the frame will last 5 years or more. I cannot believe that Costway will sell something like this without the availability to get a replacement top. I spent $340 on an item that may last only 2 years. Costway's response to me was they do not sell parts. I asked if i can have the manufacturer so I could purchase the parts directly but they will not provide that to me.
