ConsumerLab.com provides independent test results, reviews, ratings and comparisons of vitamins, supplements, herb and nutrition products to consumers and healthcare providers.
ConsumerLab enjoys a strong reputation among its users, who appreciate the unbiased, detailed information it provides on supplements and health products. Customers frequently highlight the site’s thorough research and reliable testing, which empowers them to make informed decisions about their health. However, some users express frustration with the frequency of email updates and recent login issues related to cookie settings. Additionally, there are requests for broader product reviews, particularly from popular retailers. Overall, while the service is highly valued for its quality and reliability, there are areas for improvement in user experience and communication.

Whenever I see an article on supplements claiming benefits, I always check it out at ConsumerLab. When I intend to make a purchase, I consult the ConsumerLab review of suppliers to be sure I am getting a quality product.
I've used ConsumerLab for many years. It's my go-to reference when investigating viability of different vitamins and other supplements. It is a lot of information but it's been such a help in determining what vitamins might work or not. It's been invaluable for me.
Thank you for that nice review, Ruth. We're glad that you appreciate our work. Thanks for your support.
Thorough fact based information. Like the citing of all studies about studies related to supplements
Thanks for your feedback, Robert. We are happy to have you as a member.
I started using Consumer Lab shortly after its inception. I suspected there concerns about supplements that weren't being disclosed. Over the years I have modified my supplement use, changed sources and changed vendors based on Consumer Lab information. I am a member what the health industry defines as the oldest old and I'm forced to become aware my body reacts to certain supplements. Right now I'm not using any supplements and I feel better. If help in this arena, its inclusion will be appreciated. Also, reviews of oral hygiene products would be helpful. Since I have a sensitivity to fluorides, references to creditable studies relating to their efficacy would be nice.
Thank you very much for sharing that, Ralph. We are very glad that you appreciate the work we are doing. We appreciate your support.
I have subscribed for years and this is the only subscription I don't consider giving up. I take a variety of supplements and check the write ups often. My only frustration is the annual member survey of supplements used. It needs to be simplified. It is just too onerous to complete for multiple supplements. I would also like some focus on popular combo supplements - i. E. do they contain the level of ingredients claimed.
We're glad to have you as a member, Debbie! Thanks for your review. You can always feel free, as can any member, to shoot us suggestions and questions on products.
I have subscribed to Consumer Lab for about three years. I read the scientific information and recommendations posted on Consumer Lab for every supplement I consider. Unlike the hype and ratings you find in Amazon or other reviews, this site actually tests the supplements to ensure they have the amounts of active ingredients they claim and are not contaminated. They also provide scientific research to help you decide if a supplement is right for you. Finally, they tell you which provides most of the active ingredients for the lowest cost. A subscription is well worth the relatively small cost.
We're glad that you are enjoying your membership to ConsumerLab, Michael. Thanks for letting us know.
I very much appreciate the various sections of ConsumerLab reports - the good, the bad, and the ugly things about the tested items. I know I can rely on its word.
Thanks for letting us know, Sarah. That's exactly why we are here.
Have used this site hundreds of times with my clients. Provides fact based, unbiased information. No hidden agendas. Be lost without it. Keep it up.
Thank you for that nice feedback, Eric!
Great experience - I depend on to validate my choices for supplements and to be kept up to date on the best suppliers. Keep up your enthusiasm and credible reporting.
Thank you!
Thank you for that nice review, Stewart.
I have been a member for at least 10 years. I first found out about your website through Consumer Reports Magazine, which I trust 100%. It's refreshing, along with a sense of security, to know that there are unbiased organizations/companies such as yours. It's all about consumer welfare and protections, and you definitely step up to the plate! Thank you, and keep up with the good work, for it's appreciated!

I appreciate CL because it's an educated resource of information that I can rely on. It is my go-to place for clear answers to many specific questions that help me choose a healthy diet and trustworthy supplements. It's easy to search for and find relevant data. Updates come regularly. I believe that my health is better because I subscribe to and use Consumer Lab. Thank you!

Has been good source of information for supplements like vitamins and minerals
Thank you for your feedback, Jeff.
I have been a subscriber of ConsumerLab.com for a number of years and it has become my go-to resource for dependable information on everything involving health-related
Supplements.
Thanks for letting us know, John. That's exactly why we are here.
I greatly appreciate someone doing the job with supplements, that the FDA should be doing with prescription drugs, but is not. Maybe CL could also start testing some common prescription drugs? I find the research summaries particularly helpful. I have a PhD in research, but not in these areas. So, I am doubly appreciative, first that CL understands the power and the limits or research, and its importance, and second that they also understand the many aspects of health, disease, biochemistry, etc. No one person can be sufficiently knowledgeable in all these fields, all on their own. What a valuable service CL provides. I believe that the mere fact that someone is checking, has done quite a bit to clean up the entire field of supplement mfg and sales. PS: The encyclopedia all by itself would be worth the price of admission. Dave J
We're glad to have you as a member, David! Thanks for your review.
I always check Consumers first to see if they have reviews on whatever it is I'm looking for and try to stick to their recommended brands. I will always keep up my subscription, love it.
Thank you very much for sharing that, Diane. We are very glad that you appreciate the work we are doing. We appreciate your support.
I use your recommendations when possible. However many times the brands that are available to me are not tested. Wish you could test more or each thing.
We're glad that you enjoy ConsumerLab.com. Thank you for posting your comments.
The site is very conservative. More like a Dr. Weil site. Unless the data is confirmed in a sufficient number of subjects with top flight empirical controls, then it is not true. I do understand the null hypothesis that says because it has not yet been scientifically proven, it is definitely false. But I prefer a bit more thought. So, when I want the most conservative view, I look at Consumer Lab. And then I look at other sites with more analytical view. For example, "If we know that NAD+ levels drop with age. And we know that an NR supplement does improve NAD+ levels in the blood. And we know that Sirtuins are critical for cell functioning, but cannot function without sufficient NAD+. It seems likely that NR supplement will contribute to good cellular heath. We see that in many species from yeast to rats, but we still do not have sufficient hard data on humans to make that call." That thoughtful approach is missing.
We're glad to have you as a member, Brad! Thanks for your review.

Answer: There is no single best supplement or brand. It's best to focus on the type of supplement you are looking for, e.g., multivitamin, fish oil, probiotic, herbal) and read our Product Review for that specific category and see which product is our Top Pick for that category. Here is a list of our current reports: https://www.consumerlab.com/results/
Answer: Yes, we recently published a new report on turmeric and curcumin supplements as well as turmeric spice (ground root powders) at https://www.consumerlab.com/reviews/turmeric-curcumin-supplements-spice-review/turmeric/
