ConsumerLab.com provides independent test results, reviews, ratings and comparisons of vitamins, supplements, herb and nutrition products to consumers and healthcare providers.
ConsumerLab enjoys a strong reputation among its users, who appreciate the unbiased, detailed information it provides on supplements and health products. Customers frequently highlight the site’s thorough research and reliable testing, which empowers them to make informed decisions about their health. However, some users express frustration with the frequency of email updates and recent login issues related to cookie settings. Additionally, there are requests for broader product reviews, particularly from popular retailers. Overall, while the service is highly valued for its quality and reliability, there are areas for improvement in user experience and communication.

Thanks for your review, David!
I love ConsumerLab. I research alot of things on the website when I want to make a health decision or recommendations on what brands are best for vitamins and other items. It's definitely my go to site.
It seems like when I want to know something, CL can almost read my questions and have very timely studies. The studies help me make good decisions for healthier living.
Consumer Lab provides accurate, detailed and timely information on a consistent basis. The information is thoroughly researched using scientific & medical sources. Recommendations are clear & specific. Listing the brand reviews is especially helpful.
We appreciate your review, Elizabeth! Thanks
Important information that is accurate, unbiased, continuously updated and comprehensive. If you care about the physical health of your body, ConsumerLab is a "have to have."
We are glad to know that you appreciate our work. Thank you!
ConsumerLab. Com is a very useful site to help find answers to questions about health and supplements. With little regulation, it helps me choose appropriate and effective supplements.
We are glad to know that ConsumerLab is helping you, Susan! Thanks for posting your review.
Overall very good. Occasional log in frustration occurs, but it has gotten better. The search feature is the most useful to me. I don't like that I cannot send an article out to a friend. While I understand protecting copyright, it seems that something could be arranged where you can send one article a month or what have you. On balance, I will renew and have been renewing... I use it at least once a week.
I have studied vitamins, minerals, and amino acids for over 30 years. It has been almost impossible to find detailed, accurate, and unbiased information until I found ConsumerLab.com. The website is user friendly and has been able to answer all my questions. I highly recommend this website.
And we are glad that you found us, Kenneth! Thanks for the nice review!
I appreciate Consumer Lab and refer to it weekly. However, if I were to use all the Approved supplements, I'd be over-whelmed with pills and capsules. I'd like more help sorting out what is necessary for me and what is not.
Thanks for your review, Ryan. Within the Reviews, we identify our Top Picks or best choices among those that have been Approved. Approval means that a product passed our laboratory testing, e.g., containing their key ingreidents, not exceeding limits for contaminants, etc. Each Review also includes information that should help you first decide whether or not a type of supplement is potentially useful and appropriate (or ineffective and possibly dangerous), what dose is appropriate, and which product or products would be best -- factoring in their quality, ingredients, dose, and relative cost. I hope that helps.
My go to' for helpful information that completely covers all aspects of a given subject.
Glad that you find our information helpful, Marge. Thanks for spreading the word!
I cancelled my subscription and requested a refund. After sending a number of emails without reply I wrote a negative review on sitejabber and was promptly contacted by consumer lab and offered a refund. I'm satisfied with the outcome.
The need for reliable, objective information about health and nutritional products has never been greater than now. Things are advertised as being helpful for this or that, but are they really? And who says? Even if they are, does a given brand really deliver what the bottle says they do? And what about cost-effectivity? Who has the best price per dose? Consumerlabs answers all these questions and more. If you consider yourself a well informed consumer of nutrients, supplements, vitamins, and health products in general, or, like me, you want to be - subscribe. You will be like me and glad that you did.
I have been subscribing to ConsumerLab for several years for reviews on vitamins and supplements before I make a purchase. I trust their reviews. They are very thorough and informative and reliable.
I appreciate the information I get, but am puzzled at some omissions. I've requested twice that Turmeric Forte from Standard Process be reviewed, since it is getting such extravagant claims from Dr. Bruce West and many others. You have reviewed seven Standard Process supplements, so I can't understand your failure to review such a widely publicized supplement and it makes me concerned that there's something wrong with it and you are protecting Standard Process bcs you have a client relationship with them, or else that you may be failing to review another SP product to try to push them into a client relationship. I've also requested that you review purported stem cell enhancers, such as Stemtech's Stem Release, and am hoping that you will do that in the future..
I do believe in taking some supplements for good health and I really count on consumer lab to test them so I know what I do use I'm using safely. I really do trust them and I find their articles very informative.
Thank you for that nice feedback, Toni!
I have been a member for 6 or 7 years. My wife and I are in our 80s and have several maladies, some associated with aging and some that are not. So we take several supplements. We don't order or buy any supplement until seeing what Consumer Labs says about it and seeing which products give the best value. Consider me a very satisfied Lifetime member.
Truman
Thank you very much for sharing that, Truman. We are very glad that you appreciate the work we are doing. We appreciate your support.
ConsumerLab continues to be a valuable resource for anyone concerned about the safety and efficacy of dietary supplements. It is well-organized, includes references to primary literature, and uses language accessible to the nonprofessional. I recommend it highly.
Thank you for that nice feedback, KD!
Twice in four years I have tried subscribing to Consumer Lab. Twice I got screwed. I get two newsletters, and then I get none. It is NOT up to me to completely change settings on my computer to accommodate them. That is their job. I am big on newsletters. I subscribe to many of them, and this is the ONLY one that constantly stiffs me. They take the $47. Whatever-cents and send me nothing in return. I had given up on their reviews anyway. The same companies over and over pay them to review their products. Rarely any new suppliers. I am so done with them. Now I have to try to get my money back.
ConsumerLab is my "go to" resource for quality, accurate information. Everything is well researched and I really like the fact that they provide references for you, if you wish to read the studies for yourself. They also update earlier reports when new information/studies become available. The search function makes it easy to find what your looking for. I highly recommend ConsumerLab to anyone looking for a reputable source of information on health and nutrition products.
We're glad that you enjoy ConsumerLab.com. Thank you for posting your comments.
Answer: Hi Denise, We have actually covered this topic on our website https://www.consumerlab.com/answers/does-prevagen-really-improve-memory/prevagen-memory/.

If you were somehow able to download content from our site, it is quite possible that it would only work while your membership was current.
Answer: There is no single best supplement or brand. It's best to focus on the type of supplement you are looking for, e.g., multivitamin, fish oil, probiotic, herbal) and read our Product Review for that specific category and see which product is our Top Pick for that category. Here is a list of our current reports: https://www.consumerlab.com/results/
Answer: Yes, we recently published a new report on turmeric and curcumin supplements as well as turmeric spice (ground root powders) at https://www.consumerlab.com/reviews/turmeric-curcumin-supplements-spice-review/turmeric/
Answer: Hi Barbara - You can give a gift membership to ConsumerLab.com from this page: https://www.consumerlab.com/giftcerts/. We have a link to this at the bottom of every page, but the font is a bit small. Hope that helps.
