Website has little participation from alumni of my specific high school, therefor I have little to no use for it. The problem is, having decided to vacate my subscription, I could find no way to do so. Only through several redirects did I finally get an e-mail address to contact them directly. They were extremely persistent in trying to convince me to just let it run out, assuring me that when it did (on July 13, '11) I would not be automatically renewed. As of 8-13-11 I'm still receiving alerts, e-mails, newsletters etc. from them. The alerts are always the same; "See who signed your guestbook". But it's never anyone new! Since July of 2010 I've gotten maybe 6 contacts total. And half of them are people I never even knew because they're from classes years after I graduated. I've sent them at least 2 e-mails (sternly worded) since my subscription "expired". They apologize for my frustration, and claim to want to "resolve my concerns" and yet they seem incapable of understanding or aknowledging what they are! And, by the way, they're STILL sending me all that useless crap that I have to delete (twice) from my e-mail on a nearly daily basis. I'm totally fed up with them, and I've told them so in an increasingly profane and undignifed manner! Somebody, please make them GO AWAY!
Automatic renewal without an easy way to cancel. They are also spammers. I cannot seem to get them to stop sending me e-mails.
BEWARE:
CLASSMATES.com has automatic renewal and will charge your credit card whether you agree to it or not... year after year!
I found a 39 dollar charge on a card I no longer use for services I have not used for over a year or more.
From now on you must read every tiny bit of print when using a credit card online.
"Mad as hell!"
They charge you to get in touch with classmates but only they have their address and you can only communicate through their website and you must be a gold member which costs $39 year which they will take from your credit card without notifying you. They claim that in accepting the first time you must make sure it is then a manual renewal. Biggest scam ever and not even a good social networking site, It is not worth any money and will be contacted by my credit card company that they will not be paying the charge because I checked manual as I know how these companies work. Terrible site stay away from it at all costs,
This site offers a trial offer. The offer is good for so many months and take you.re credit card then has a automatic payment for the next year with a promise of you being able to cancel within the year of first trial use. When youre year is up they have no live operator or telephone number to talk to especially if you can't get into you, re own account don't use this site as they will mercilisly hound for payment if you don't contact them or stop payment on siteor even stop payment at the end of trial. I will write to the BBB FOR SATISFACTION.
They scam people with an automatic renewal scam, they will not refund all of the money they scam you out of. Stay away from these people they are scam, artists BIG TIME
