I bought a used Sinn EZM3 for my son's birthday. The transaction was easy, the watch was as described, arrived safely, well packed and well documented, and my son loves it. A previous effort to buy a watch from another site had proved frustrating. The Chrono24 experience was pleasantly different. Judging from the one-star reviews, I get the sense that the seller is key. My seller was great.
I had been looking for a specific model of watch for a couple years. I found it on Chrono24 and it was a very good price. The transaction was perfect, the seller was extremely responsive, the watch arrived quickly, was as described new with all packaging, and most importantly it was exactly what I wanted. Very satisfied.
I purchased a watch through Chrono24 using a Trusted Checkout. But the process after that has been beyond frustrating.
The short version is that I bought from a well-reviewed seller in Germany, (I'm in the US), who then slow-rolled my entire post-purchase process. He sent me a faulty $1500 Omega watch. (The watch gets condensation buildup inside the crystal.) Then slow-rolled a warrantied repair. He requested I use FedEx to ship back to him and promised to pay my repair related shipping costs. He took ages to pick up the watch from German customs, then took ages to do the repair. By the time I got the Omega back, months had passed from the original purchase, and on top of this, the problem was not fully resolved.
I have been patient and polite, yet the seller has stopped responding to my messages and clearly knows I have no recourse beyond his own conscience. So long has passed since my purchase that I can not review the seller as Chrono24 has a short window in which to review, which I couldn't do properly until I had a working watch.
I went from being excited about Chrono24 to feeling like it's a huge waste of time and money. I strongly recommend against anyone I know using Chrono24 as it's far too risky to spend significant amounts of money, (my watch which is still not in the promised condition), has now cost me nearly $2000. 00 US). This is a massive level of fraud on the part of the seller and incompetence on the part of Chrono24. Don't take the risk!
The 6.5% selling fee is too high and makes it not worth it to use chrono24 to sell watches when there are a number of free forums and other places who charge no fee or a much lower fee. I will stop using chrono24 because of this.

Bought a used watch which arrived in mechanically broken condition. I made a request to return the watch immediately after receiving it. Seller put on the heavy handed tactics to pressure me to release the escrow money and Chrono24 acted only in the sellers interest.
Chrono 24 even went so far as to accuse me of trying to scam a free watch!
Do NOT feel protected as a buyer by the claims of an honest, unbiased escrow system. Chrono24 does not want to protect it's buyers and sellers, only its sellers. I should have believed all of those other 1 star reviews.

I buy and sell watches for a living and have dealt with mostly stand up dealers, sellers and buyers who take their word and their reputation seriously. Chrono24 seller "Superstudio" who's is based in Switzerland is not one of these. After going through the usual motion of negotiation and payment my watch showed up. There was noticeable damage to both sides of the case. I contacted the seller immediately and explained the situation and forwarded photos. I took care to be as cordial as possible because mistakes happen, and I wanted to allow the seller the opportunity to make it right. The seller responded with personal insults "ugly American" and dishonesty "damage was visible in photos". It was not, nor was it mentioned in the description. Then "damage isn't actually damage but how the case came from Vacheron". It was not, as I have the same model in a different metal. I contact Chrono24 to invoke their Buyer Protection service, they instructed me to send the watch back to the seller. Well, the seller refused receipt of the watch leaving me responsible for an additional $300 in duties after I had paid $80 for return shipping. Chrono24's response was to send it back to them again. I replied that I'd prefer to not be responsible for another $400 in shipping and duties when the seller did the same thing. Chrono24 responded that they would reach out to the seller. That was three weeks ago. Two months after I first contacted them for help with a resolution and after repeated emails to Chrono24 I have officially been "ghosted". Chrono24, if you read this you have some serious work to do on your business model. Your buyer protection is a joke and your customer service is abysmal. It's time to figure your out.

A great site to buy and sell a watch. The escrow process ensures you're not going to get ripped off.
Purchased a panerai from one of their approved top notch US based dealers, paid into the escrow account, only to find out the seller didnt even have the correct watch. After waiting for a tracking number for over a week, they admitted they did not have the watch in stock. Asked for a refund from Chrono24 to my CC and its been 10 days. NY office gives you the runaround saying it will take 1-2 business days, then they change it to " we initiate refunds once a week " and now they are telling me the best person to help me is out of the office. STAY AWAY!

Had a terrible experience with this site. Please be warned they take no responsibility for any misrepresentation that there dealers post on there site. It is basically Craigslist for watches.
I purchased a watch which on there site claimed to be an automatic watch. I even sent a message to the dealer "Cieffe Watches", to confirmed it was automatic. When I received it was a manual wind.
Returning the watch cost and extra $300 because of the insurance and guess what? The dealer then claimed it was broken and wanted to charge an extra 300 to fix it!
Chrono24 response to this was, talk to the dealer. What a great help that was!

An easy site to deal with. The selection was great. Checkout is fair. They charge a 2% fee for using AMEX which I think is BS. I asked them why they charge the 2% and didn't get an answer. I rated my experience with them a 4 because of the 5 star rating I had with the dealer I got the watch from.
This platform and marketplace is horribly flawed.
I ordered a watch from Edmund Arnold Juwelen located in Wien, Austria on the Chrono24 website. I asked the usual questions, such as " has the watch been serviced and functioning properly?" I was assured it did not need servicing and was checked by a watchmaker.
When I received the watch, I realized that there were 3 problems.
1. The month pusher was inoperable.
2. The date of the month pusher was inoperable.
3. The hands didn't line up with the numbers.
I contacted Chrono24 and they in turn contacted the jeweler.
The jeweler said I have two choices
1. Send the watch back for service.
2. Send the watch back for a refund.
Because they had already lied to me about the condition of the watch, there was no way I would trust them to make this right. I could easily be in a situation where I had no watch and no money.
I decided to take the watch to a trusted local watchmaker to repair the watch. When it came time to review Edmund Arnold Juwelen, Chrono24 rejected my negative review.
They obviously protect their dealers to the detriment of the customer.
This experience cost me an additional $300.00, but I consider myself lucky.
Other have lost thousands of dollars on the Chrono24 website.
