This has been my worst experience with online dating. I signed up on an impulse two days ago and saw that there was almost no one in my area (and most that were around hadn't been on in months) I asked myself: wait, why did I just pay fifty bucks a month for this? Fifty bucks a month? That's a ridiculous price for what you get (you don't get much - there is very little you can do regarding your profile and again, few women online). I am about to refund but I know I won't get my money back (their terms and conditions, written here: https://about.christianmingle.com/en/legal-en/#privacypolicy make it very clear). That's terrible customer service and a bad way to run a dating platform. They should have a grace period of a couple days at least where you can get a refund, or at least a partial refund.
This website meets the definition of being a scam. It's the crappiest online dating experience I have had yet (and I have tried half a dozen sites and apps). Spread the word: ChristianMingle is complete garbage.
Stay away! I considered signing up for an account. I created my profile and 24+ hours later it is still pending. Meanwhile, every time I visit the site to check on the status, I get a "We are experiencing network problems, please try again." I even opened a help support ticket and NO RESPONSE. I decided to open a support ticket and receive a response 48 HOURS later. Meanwhile, when I go to my inbox, it directs me to an "Upgrade Your Account" page -- when I should be able to view my inbox for free as normal. This dating site is NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY. They are slow and unresponsive. And if it takes that long to get a profile up, you can bet your pains have just begun. Go elsewhere.
I recently signed up for Christian Mingle and all I was able to do was receive troll posts from free accounts that were quickly removed by Christian Mingle. They use to offer chat rooms but they are long gone. I really don't know what they offer for current $50 CAD per month they charge. Do not waste, your time creating even a free profile.
I've tried this site twice. First time I was on only a few weeks and shut my profile down because of all the people messaging me then begin to shut down or remove. In less than a month I was messaged by over 37 men who ended up as imposters. When I asked for a refund CM would not give me one. The site is horrible, slow, goes down all the time and overall awful. Online dating presents its own set of challenges without all the mess CM brings to the table.
Took my money; imposter responses; network not working; kept getting unqualified for no reason; cannot get online to complain or talk to anyone. Do not use this dating site.
I signed up, thinking "why not try". In 24 hours they offered two guys who did NOT meet my parameters. I cancelled the service within 24 hours of signing up, but boy did they KEEP my $150. This had to be the worst. I've tried eHarmony, Elite Singles and Match. I'm a busy professional woman who has a very successful career, and hopefully I'll be a great "Catch" for someone. NO TRIAL PERIOD - THEY KEEP YOUR MONEY BUT DON'T HOLD UP TO THEIR END OF THE CONTRACT. Run away, run fast!
Sean understood my complaint yet was adamant could do nothing else. I joined CM back in December and 85% of all men who contacted me through your forum were impostures. I was upset and disappointed as this never ended. I called to cancel and get reimbursed only to learn I had entered an automatic renewal just over a week earlier. They credited me for the one week renewal but not the 3 months of continual impostors since December. So so dissapointed with your operation
They tell me that they can not fiend any one for me. But they took my money any way. I live about 12 miles from Milwaukee do you see any thing wrong with picture?
60 plus bucks for what? For scam after scam. I am cancelling. They can keep my $60. This has to be the worst ran site on the web.
Fraud operation, stay away. This is nothing buy a website run by idiots or fraudsters. Stay away at all cost.
You can sign up for free to look around. Beware that if you don't completely fill out your profile immediately then the people on the site may view your partial info then disregard you, meaning once you complete it they won't take a second look. It also takes several days to get any updates you do to your profile from being posted. I understand as it appears it gets reviewed by their staff first.
My biggest complaint was that the iPhone app is somewhat buggy in that it takes you to a subscription page and wants you to sign up to pay for a premium plan that gets charged monthly or on other renewal terms.
After a couple weeks of using the app i get a message and when i view it it says my profile will be deleted which then takes me to the subscription page again in order to retain my profile. (Note they say you can use the free version with no mention of time before profile deletion etc. The paid version gives you more control and options of contacting people etc.)
When you try to LEAVE the subscription page it keep going back. If you press "cancel" it doesn't leave the page. So I tried to close the app and restart it and when it restarted it went back to the screen and said that i successfully ordered my subscription and was billed via iTunes for $30 and that it will renew each month at $30.
Well I did not authorize this! I called their customer service and got the auto renewal canceled but they said I could not cancel the month paid for and gave me an Apple phone number to call to do that. After spending an hour or so doing all this I still am charged for the month I don't want or authorized.
Now getting to the people on the site, I found that most appear fake or non-christian like. For instance, Im 55 and recently divorced after a long marriage. I find that over half of the women 50-55 on the site are looking for a man that is 35-49. Another words they would like a man between 15 and 5 years younger than them. Some say in the bio that they are serious about the age thing and if you are not within that age to respect their wish and move on. Does that seem Christian like at all? I'm sure there are legitimate people on the site as well and some will pay large fees to stay there waiting for their perfect ideal mate to find them but I have had such a bad experience so far that i am not going to have anything more to do with this.
I got 3 smiles from people who live thousands of miles away, all 3 within a few minutes.
Christian my arse.
Money grabbing shysters.
Not my money
Due to unfortunate event I find myself single and I thought this would be a good site/app. I'm not looking for hook-up, I'm looking for a relationship. So I tried to set up an account with CM...
That was a mistake, the suspended my account and asked for a whole bunch of personal documents, such as bills and IDs. Look this is just a dating site at its core, you should never be asked by a site like this for such personal information. It was not a hassle I needed right now, I'm still trying to recover from the reasons that brought me to the site in the first place.
This place DOES NOT use the info you put in or in my case had them put in cause their site would not allow me to put in responses to part of it. Then almost half of the so called matches do not fall within what I put in and what they put in for me. Contact them and they lie and bully. The only person that I ever responded to was a SCAMMER Also.
STAY FAR AWAY from this and any of their other two businesses.
All I can say is I am happy that I didn't get more than a month's subscription. This truly is a HUGE scam! I was contacted by all Midwesterners and I live in New England first red flag! My preferences were within 100 miles. You could tell they were fake profiles from the grammar and spelling another red flag! Sure enough. Next day the profiles were "removed". BEWARE!
Been on a week, Had nothing but scammers, people send me a message and I read it and go back later to respond and message is gone. I wish I would of read reviews before I lost money.
Someone sends you a message and you have to purchase a subscription to respond--only to find that they were just a scammer. Of course you can't get a refund.
I have been on 5 different sites, this is the worst by far. I talked to Landon B. To explain my concerns last night. I could only see about 20 people's profile. I met 7 SCAMMERS. Stay away from this site it's only after your money. I would never take people's money and rip them off like this. Maybe we could do a class action lawsuit.
I have used other apps but this one is exceptional, it has been able to examine to examine my work critically by matching each and every word carefully.
No lover of Jesus would rip people off like that. $20.00 to send a message, you scam artists. I am utterly ashamed, do not come to my church.
Answer: I had the same experience! Technically it's the worst site with worthless customer service. I discovered a great platform for meeting Christian ladies https://j4l.com/402007 It's flawless - it's working perfectly technically, their girls are simply too gorgeous for words, both inside and out! I enjoy greatly the company of the women I met there and soon I will meet one of them in person.
Answer: I thought they were a legit website unfortunately they are ripped off!
Answer: I just hit unsubscribe and you really have no choice but to let the time you paid for run out. After I unsubscribed, they sent me an email that I did and I also made sure to remove the credit card they had on file. I only took one month.
