Other businesses should take notes

I have two older high-maintenance Himalayan Cats and have had to use Chewy for many things, including their prescription hydrolyzed protein food.

PRICES
I find Cheat's prices to be in-line with or cheaper than other online retailers like Amazon and Petco. Chewy is way more affordable than brick and mortar shops.

REGULAR SALES AND PROMOTIONS
I love that there are often deals and specials going on. I also get mail with exclusive discounts and promo codes.

RETURN POLICY
Probably the best return policy of all the internet: you have a full year to return products for a full refund—no matter what the reason.

FREE SHIPPING
Super quick shipping is free on orders over $50. You can't beat that… especially one heavy bags of food and litter.

Horrible service

This is only my 2nd time ordering from chewy. They advertise delivery in 1-3days. I ordered a Large order and my order is going to be delivered in 2 different packages (which is rediculous) that's not the biggest problem. I have a HUGE problem with chewy advertising delivery in 1-3 days and my order is taking 7 freaking days. I will NEVER order from this company again. I called them 5 times because I had to verify my address and some other things. It's rediculous and a total bunch of $#*!**. That all they have is excuses why they can't deliver on their 1-3 days.

Treatment of employees

What a crying shame (literally) that Chewy does not treat their employees better... my friend was just terminated over a 5 minute clock-in mistake. No warning, just terminated. It didn't matter that she had numerous kind reviews from her customers for her excellent service. Or that she graduated at the top in her training class. Oh but they will rehire her in 3 months, truly does that even make sense! And it didn't even matter that her supervisor went to bat for her. The higher ups have no compassion for the people who deal with the public every day. It's not an easy job to deal with all the problems that occur. Take note Chewy, you're losing good employees to what, to hire and train new people? Such a waste of time and money! You're ruining lives in this time of economic upheaval...you should be ashamed of your unethical behavior!

Products ordered are delivered in 1 to 3 days. Great products you can trust to be quality and they will replace and refund if you are not happy but most of all their customer support is extraordinary and caring. Chewy loves animals and their people.

Amazing company!

I had to recently cancel a recurring order for my cat as she had passed away. I just received a beautiful bouquet of flowers along with a lovely note from the company acknowledging my loss. Such a wonderful and appreciative gesture. This company is the best!

Chewy customer service; what a JOKE!

My GSD's are getting older and my female has developed arthritis in her left shoulder. I had ordered Origens but wasn't sure if that was the best choice, so I called and talked to "Dennis" and he recommended a Merrick's formula. After reviewing it on-line I asked him to cancel the Origen order and order a 24 lb and 12 lb bags (closet to the 30 pound bag of Dr Tim's - he was our vet and had used his food from the beginning) and set the bags for autoship.

This morning I checked the status of my order and realized "Dennis" did not cancel the Origen as he said he would. I called "customer service" and the representative yawned and said there was nothing she could do because it had already shipped.

As this was this was not the first screw-up that Chewy has done, but this one charged my close to $300 because of their incompetence and to have some "customer service" representative yawn in my ear and tell me there was nothing they could do was the last straw.

Thank you Chin for recognizing my concerns and NOT yawning in my war! Told me to keep the bag and to
Donate it. My local shelter will appreciate it!

Rude customer service.

Person that I talked to should not working customer service dept. I called 2/11/23 to track my package because its taking too long so i had to wait a week which is really not fun. The person i talk to has an attitude and really rude. He didnt have any patient and annoyed me.Worst experience ever to talked to person like that. Chewy should hire and educate their employees better than that. I always order through Chewy and loved it but I really disappointed and person like that should not working as a customer representative period.

Chewy auto renewal

I ordered 3 packs of a digestive supplement for $50 as a one time purchase the next month they sent me another and charged me double the price when I didn't even want/need anymore. Very frustrating and shady.

Perfect fix to the issue

I ordered three bottles of medication for my cats, and I only received two. Shortly after I emailed them, I got a notification that my other bottle had shipped. I received it two days later. I'm very satisfied with how quickly this was resolved, and with little effort on my part. Thank you Chewy!

Love Chewy's!

These days it's rare to find a business that deserves 5 stars, in my opinion. Poor customer service is everywhere because it is unfortunately tolerated now but Chewy's is a pleasant exception. I have been using them for years and have never had a bad experience so it's time to say Thank You for competitive pricing, special promotions, coupons, extra fast free shipping, excellent customer service, a large inventory selection and an easy to use website. My most recent order included an item that required a prescription, it was easy to provide my veterinarian information so that Chewy's could contact them for authorization. I placed the order on Friday not expecting to receive it until Tuesday at the soonest, but everything arrived on Sunday including the prescription that they had to contact my vet about. Keep up the great job Chewy's! I appreciate you very much.

Time to say "bye bye Chewy"

I've been a customer for years, and have even supported Chewy brand American Journey. However, over the past 6 months I've noticed a huge decline in their services. My product arrives damaged, the boxes look destroyed, not enough packaging inside to protect my product, and the box has tape circled all around instead of one strip of tape on top and one on bottom. This is due to not enough packaging paper inside to support product and box during shipping. Customer service is rude and based on the way my shipments have been arriving, I'd say there are clearly training issues inside fulfillment centers. I am no longer a Chewy customer, I now buy Purina Pro Plan and have taken my business elsewhere.

Horrible Experience

I ordered a prescription for my dog from Chewy 2 weeks ago and I still don't have it. They've cancelled my order without notification or refund. I have spoken with their Corp offices and supervisors. No one has offered anything for the horrible service I have received from them and now that it can be shipped, I received an email that shipping is taking longer than usual but their working on it!; I pray that my poor dog will be alright until it gets here. Never again!

I've seen similar reviews as I was looking to write a review so I am not alone in this experience. I have only ordered from Chewy once before. I had just ordered 70 dollars in supplies and then my dog passed away. I called to ask how I return the products. They immediately said they would refund me and to just donate the products. I was like that's really cool of them. Then two days later I received a vase of flowers delivered to me with a condolence card. I could not believe it. I just mentioned in one sentence that my dog had just died to a customer service agent and they went and did this thoughtful gesture. Chewy's will be my supplier forever.

Been using chewy.com for many years. At the beginning, there were no issues. Now, it's ridiculous. Have an auto ship and go thru the same garbage each month with their "sir head" customer service girls! Keeps reactivating old email accounts and sending auto ships out on inactive accounts. Doc months ago, they charged my credit card for someone else 's order and sent over $400 worth of products to someone else at an entirely different account! Watch out for this company; your financial and personal info are not safe! Their pharmacy is even worse! Have only one prescription on my account and every month, it seems to disappear! I spend an average of 45 minutes a month on the phone with these ridiculous people. Their customer service personnel are complete idiots. All they can say is "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry." I think the word sorry is embedded in their heads like a robot. I'm going to go with Amazon for my dog food. They have the exact same products, with the same auto ship discount. Frankly, it's not worth the aggravation that doing business with Chewy has caused.

Offensive commercials

Your delivery service is timely however your commercial using that mutilated (ears) cat is very sad. Your products promote healthy animals yet you cut off that cats ears. VERY cruel
