I received a bed that was too small for my large dog. The bed needed to be extra large. When I called about returning they asked if I can give to shelter - I definitely can! They sent the new bed free! They were so nice and very accomodating!

Chewy has been out of Hartz Medium Bird Food for over 3 months. I asked to be notified when it comes back in stock and have heard zippo! I keep checking the site and today was my last attempt. What in the world is going on with the bird food supply that you don't have any for over 3 months?
I have a prescription for my dog. It is to help with his aging-related heart burn and sour stomach. We are set to go on a missionary trip for 10 months. We ordered the medicine for him from Chewy.com 1 MONTH early and they kept saying they faxed in the RX verification to my vet but my vet never got it. My vet printed out the history for the entire 10 days after my initial order and NOT ONCE did Chewy RX team fax them. Also they said they CALLED my vet but again, the vet printed out the call logs and NOT ONCE did Chewy try calling them. I am not sure WHY the Chewy Customer Service agents kept lying but we had DOUBLE PROOF they didn't do ANYTHING. Now we have to cancel and RUSH an order from somewhere else because Chewy STILL hasn't done anything and we leave in 1 week. Pathetic. Will NEVER order a RX for my pets again. Other things we ordered that were repacked treats and toys arrived QUICK. Chewy has an UNethical business model. BUYER BEWARE!
Chewy is so confused on their pets medication orders. Trying to find out when it will ship, did it ship, they claim it has shipped but cannot locate a tracking number, etc. Nightmare alley. One hour on the phone each time. A week later, still no package. Go elsewhere for your pet medication needs.
I've ordered from them a number of times over the years and have had many issues. Shipping is dreadfully slow and takes weeks to get my order. I also ordered dogs bones a while back and they sent four that were completely coated with mold. Gross and certainly not something you want to give your beloved pets. Customer service responds quickly and is friendly and eager to fix issues. But with the shipping issues and quality of products they have a lot of improvements to make. I've decided to buy my treats and food locally so I don't have to deal with them anymore.
I highly recommend this to any pet owners. This site have saved me a fortune in time and money. The auto-ship service is fast and reliable even through this "pandemic" if you want to call it that. When others were having a hard time getting supplies I was able to share what I had to help other out. Customer service has always been top notch and they even refunded me for an item I didn't ask them to. I wrote a review and they read that the product wasn't good but I never requested a refund since I ordered it and it was used. Overall I couldn't be happier with Chewy and recommend it to all my friends.
Waiting for Federal Express to pick up 2 boxes of food (50 pounds and 17 pounds) that were left on and in the street instead of being delivered up my driveway to the front door. Chewy advertises front door delivery and the labels are marked front door. A previous delivery was stolen because of being left in the street. Each time I call, the representative says I will hear back from a supervisor after they speak the Federal Express. I've never received a call. Now they can pay to have it shipped back and restocked. When it gets costly, maybe they'll revise their policy and actually contact Federal Express. I will no longer purchase from them. A $1000+ a year customer is apparently not worth it to them.
I was sent a critter nation cage that was very damaged. The box was soaking wet, cardboard peeled off and open. I looked at it and decided that I would ignore the scrapes and keep. After getting all but last piece on, I saw the last piece is bent. I contacted Chewy was told item is out of stock so can't replace, and could only send back for refund. I offered to keep but with a discounted price because of all the damage (and I provided photos) They refused to offer any assistance, and ignored my requests continually giving me a stripped response. I will not shop with them again. They don't provide any real customer service when push comes to shove. Amazon has NEVER treated me this way.
Chewy holds the right to change price until it ships. They say price changes to stay competitive with other online sellers. But its never in the customers favor. I placed a order for dog food on 05/12 for a advertised price of 21.50(a great deal!) It finally ships 05/14 the item priced change to $32. Almost $39 after tax. Not what I was expecting to say the least. This policy doesnt make sense to me. The price I pay should be the price at the time I place my order. Not when they wait for price to increase and then they process it when it ships. And items are supposed to ship within 24hrs. Mine was shipped 2 days after I placed my order. And expected delivery is 05/20.8 days. Not worth $5 shipping fee. Autoship people should get free shipping because they are return customers but to get free shipping you have to spend $49. Im sorry but I dont feel like buying 3 bags of dog food to get free shipping. Chewy is not as cheap and convenient and stress free as they would like to seem.
I have been using Chewy for over 5 years now and I have nothing but good things to say. They make getting my dog supplies easy and quick. I have to buy prescription food because my dog has allergies and they do all the work renewing prescriptions so I don't have to. There have been times when my dog can't eat/gets sick off different foods because of her allergy and they have credited me for the food. All I had to do is send an email. This company goes above and beyond :)

Set up on auto ship was the worst decision I have ever made with this company. First they charged my card days before I asked them too. Second my shipment is suppose to go out every two weeks. But they can't meet that but still try to charge me before the product is even ready. They tell me they are weeks out. Let me tell my dogs they have to wait before I can feed them.
Never will use them again. Poor service
I'm not the kind of person that likes to write reviews but this company deserve that. The customer service and the products are outstanding. I've been using "Chewy" around one year ago and I just had good experience. O highly recomend it!
My kitty was a Chewy customer. Chewy sent her a birthday card and gift certificate on her birthday which I used to purchase treats. Spunky was 15 years old and had kidney failure and cancer which caused her recent death. When I notified Chewy to stop sending ads, they not only replied, but Erica from Chewy sent me a beautiful handcrafted bouquet of flowers and sympathy note to console me for Spunky's death. I was really touched. THEY CARE!
Also, what other customers say about prices and service as being reasonable and GREAT are true. You can't do better, especially for prescription diets like Spunky needed for her kidney condition.
Had two orders from this company. Called three hours after making them to cancel only one. They cancelled the wrong one (cheaper one ofcourse) and proceeded to tell me there was a glitch in the system and I could not cancel the $100 order. But they would take care of it. Needless to say it was not canceled and i was told at 2 am it was too late to cancel but they would contact fedex for a stop shipment. Fedex was not notified. I talked to 7 people and was on hold for 20 mins each time and this is still not resolved. I will never use this company again!
I will let the pictures do most of the talking because the sold proof is in them... I placed an order on April 19th. It is April 30th, still have not received my package & they keep changing the date for me to receive. They act like my animals don't have essential needs. Also stated if the date changed again they would email me but never did. Had to check the app. I've been waiting all morning for my package... Update: it is now May 1st and I STILL have NOT received my package.
We have bought Chewy.com products for several years for our dogs. Recently our smaller dog, Mya, passed away. Since we were in Chewy.com's autoship category for our two dogs, they shipped us way too much food for our remaining dog, Tyson. I contacted Chewy.com and got excellent customer service on the phone. The representative told us that they would credit our credit card in full, AND for us not to return the food to Chewy but donate it entirely to our favorite pet shelters or use it for our remaining dog's needs.
As if that wasn't enough two days ago we got a beautiful flower arrangement with a condolences card from Chewy in memory of Mya.
We are totally sold on the outstanding customer service and problem solving from Chewy.com. Their selection and pricing are competitive, and we have never been disappointed with them in any way.

I was looking for a way to save some money, so rather than buy pet meds from our vet, I decided to try Chewy. I got written prescriptions and ordered the meds from the website. It said to mail the scripts in, so I did. 2 weeks later and nothing. I called, and the person I was speaking to assured me that they had the scripts and were a bit back in entering them in the system, and it would be, perhaps another week. OK. I waited a week, no delivery. I got an email saying that if I didn't mail in the scripts they would cancel the order. I called again, this time they said they had NOT received them. It went back and forth, and I said "So, you lost them". Person said there was no mention of me calling earlier in the file. INCOMPETENCE. I said to cancel the order. It didn't get cancelled. I had to go in and cancel it myself. No credit to my card yet, after two days (it's funny that the charge was done immediately). I got them from my vet, AND... it turns out that my vet was over a hundred dollars CHEAPER. I shall NOT be using Chewy for anything from now on. I wish I could cancel my whole account, but it's impossible from the website.
Thank you so much Chewy for your thoughtfulness! I called to return prescription dog food after my Yorkie LEXI died. Suzanne was so very kind to me. She offered to give me a refund for Lexi's food & said I could donate it. Then out of the blue I received a delivery of the most beautiful flowers from Chewy! Suzanne wrote me the sweetest card & I cried. You are the BEST! You really care about pets & their owners! THANK YOU FOR YOUR THOUGHTFULNESS!
Answer: No trouble at all. They have the best customer service/replacement/refund practices I've ever encountered. By all means, contact them again if you're having an issue.
Answer: If you are having trouble returning an item, call Customer Service and ask them to assist you. My understanding for returns is any item can be returned, even if it has been used you may return it within 1 year of original purchase. Their Custom Service is available 24 hours, 7 days a week. So, if you work odd hours you don't to wait until Customer Service is available.

Answer: Ever thought of reading the FAQ posted on EVERY SINGLE COMPANIES WEBSITE to answer your own questions? Companies post these FAQ's for a reason. Too bad people are too lazy to read them. Then you scream at the reps you speak to due to your own stupidity levels in NOT READING A COMPANIES POLICIES. FYI it is a CONSUMERS RESPONSIBILITY to read those policies as the company already knows their own policies. FYI shipping from the USA to Canada cost customs fees and taxes which are NOT refundable and if you chose to return an item you will will incur these fees again and YOU are responsible for paying for them not the company you do business with. International shipping also requires proper documentation to get packages through customs. Not every USA company has the man power to deal with this enormous amount of work nor do they wish to deal with the headaches involved with shipping outside of the USA. How so many of you Canadians do not know this information is mind boggling.
