I've recently got a pup and I cannot believe how amazing Chewy is. My packages arrive faster than my amazon packages. I've accidentally ordered the wrong sizes for things and the customer service is impeccable. SO fast at responding and SO courteous. I will recommend to everyone I know with a pet. If you've had a bad experience in the past I encourage you to try again. I've yet to be disappointed.
I have an important medication for one of my cats coming from Chewy. They emailed me once saying that there was a possibility that they would be out of stock on any medications. I responded and said that with all that was going on I understood and would contact the All Feline vet to get the medicine from them(even though it is more expensive). BUT(and it is a huge bad but) Chewy responded and said they will not notify anyone when out of stock, only when the medication was back in stock. Many people with pets who get medicine auto from Chewy might end up with a dead pet because Chewy will not let them know. To me, this is extremely cruel.

So I started using these guys for Pet products about a month ago. My order are usually around $120-$150 in size.
The first order arrived in a condition that:
Looked like someones returns that were opened(flea meds and some other things... Called the company and asked for a supervisor, waited on hold for the obligatory 45 minutes, finally a supervisor got on and fixed the problem by re-sending the materials that were messed up.
2nd order- I cancelled it later in the day, but they shipped any. No big deal I just donated to a local shelter.
3rd(and final order). Ordered it online 2 days ago. Got the order confirm, today, 2 days later, no ship notice. Called and spoke with customer care- hmm not sure, it has not been boxed yet. WHAT? I needed that like yesterday. Asked for supervisor, waited on hold for another 40 min. D Robinson, supervisor gets on and tells me, oh so sorry I will check and get back to you. I told her I needed to hear from her today else I will cancel the order and find another company. 4Hours later... waiting... waiting... guess what? NO CALL. NOTHING.
Called again, spoke to a care person, asked for a supervisor, waited on hold AGAIN for 42 minutes, finally he gets on and tells me the order is being processed. WHAT? What about notifying the customer like they said they would. The previous supervisor said she would absolutely call me back no matter what. Just like they don't give a $hit. I told this supervisor about our exchange and his excuse,"well maybe she got busy with another customer"... SERIOUSLY? What crap.
He asked what he could do to fix the situation since I now have to wait another 3 days for my order to arrive. I told him expedite the shipment! Well... we can't do that because it is in process... BS.
OK... Well guess what 3x strikes and YOU'RE OUT!
I AM DONE WITH THEIR EXCUSES... WAIT TIMES ON HOLD AND THE BS SHIPMENT EXCUSES.
If I were you I would find another supplier. These guys are going to end up like PETS. COM(DOA).
I have ordered food and toys from chewy many times, Very happy each time, you get your deliver in 2 days. That's why I was very disappointed when for the first time I ordered medication from chewy.
I live in manhattan but my vet is in Brooklyn. A 30-45 Minute One way cab ride depending on traffic. The vet had the medication but I decided to order from chewy, thinking quick delivery as always, No travel time. Unfortunately anything but, a huge disappointment.
Tuesday late afternoon I ordered the medication online that had to be approved by my VET. Next day my vet approved it by 9AM. I looked online and chewy was showing preparing for shipment. Ok, I was thinking going out latest next day morning, Thursday, I called and they said, no pharmacy is not the same speed as food and toys, medication. Shipping Friday, I would receive it 3-5 business days later.
Not acceptable, in my opinion medication is more important than food. I can get food anywhere, not medication. In the end I cancelled the order and took a cab to pick up the medication from my Vet. Wasted 2 days, Cab $98 Round trip, waisted 90 minutes in the cab.
I would give 0 stars for this last order, giving 3 taking into consideration previous food orders.
Cjewy is the worst for prescription medicine. There was a mishap with the dosage chewy sent my vet so my vet denied the order. Instead of notifying me about that Chewy just let it go until I called them to follow-up on my order. This resulted.in my sickness going 2 additional days without their medicine! YOU SUCK CHEWY. If i could afford to get the medicine for my 3 rescue dogs from the vet I would but I guess I have to sacrifice competency for low prices

They took my money and said it was on the way but I never got it! NOT HAPPY. Do not use this service. They just take your money.
Chewy shows a loyalty to its customers that is rare in this day and age. My 13 year old coonhound passed away, and I was left with bags and boxes of leftover dog diapers, dog potty pads, and high-calorie senior dog food. I called Chewy to stop the last order and I was shocked by their kindness. 1. they refunded me for items that I had opened in the days before my dog passed. 2. when asked if and how I could return unopened items, they simply asked me to pay it forward by donating it to my local shelter to prevent me any hassle of returns, and 3. To my surprise, they sent me a bouquet of flowers for my family's loss within 48 hours! This is an incredibly caring company who I will recommend to all!
I have researched and found chewy.com to have the best priced pet meds. Our Weimaraner, Daisy, was 16 years and on two meds, and I had the order on auto renewal with chewy. Daisy passed two days ago, so I called to remove the auto renewal on the meds. When I mentioned that we had just received our order, David said he would refund the charges. I was very thankful at his thoughtful gesture. For the last few days we have imagined that we heard Daisy snoring, and realized how much she was missed. Today we received a beautiful bouquet of flowers from David at chewy.com I want everyone to know that this business goes way beyond, and their kindness is amazing!
I ordered Onguard topical flea & tick protection from Chewy. Well the product poisoned my dogs (they finally recovered). I left a scathing review on Google for Onguard. This morning Chewy called me and said they saw the review and were refunding my purchase! My review had nothing to do with them but they totally stepped up for me! I so appreciate this kind of customer service. I am also very satisfied with their prices, products and free shipping! Thank you Chewy!
Both times I ordered from there I ended up cancelling the order. First time was dog food that I got tired of waiting for. Cancelled and ordered from Wal-Mart on was on my doorstep for same price in 2 days.
What really did it was a critical RX order. Twice I was told my vet hadn't approved it. My Vet approved it twice. Than it was preparing to ship that was not true because they still hadn't found the approval for the one RX. After I cancelled I received an email saying they had received the approval and I could reorder. Another lie, because what it meant was they had just found it after 4 days. If I had waited for them my dog would have died. Back to Walmartpetrx.com and Walgreens that is cheaper.
Why I detest Chewy.com - After my first experience years ago of checking out their website, I soon discovered that I was being inundated with their ads. Chewy ads EVERYWHERE. More ads than any other company that I have ever shopped. They made such a nuisance of themselves that I had to go to extreme measures to get rid of them.
Fast forward to today, - I accidentally clicked on their website. I quickly exited; but, not in time to prevent the same thing from happening. Now, once again, I'm being inundated with their ads. WHY DO PEOPLE TOLERATE THIS SH_T? I would NEVER order from this company for that reason and only that reason!
Horrible day 5 and my order is still saying it's in a local FedEx facility FOR 2 DAYS NOW! I wish this company would get it together and choose a different carrier! Just a heads up its easier to order directly from your favorite pet store! CHEWY.COM is EXTREMELY UNRELIABLE
I have been a Chewy customer for years, and for most of those years, I was a satisfied customer. I found (PAST TENSE!) the customer service excellent. In the past few months, however, I have had some frustrating experiences, including confusion over if/when orders would arrive. This evening when I tried to place an order online, I kept getting a message saying my order total had changed and to review the order. The order total looked fine to me, and the message made no sense. After trying to order several times without success, I called Customer Service. The young woman who tried to help by placing the order for me had the same experience I did and sounded very frustrated (understandably). However, finally she put me on hold. After waiting on hold for nearly 10 minutes, I hung up in frustration. I believe my relationship with Chewy is coming to an end.
Both my husband and I are unemployed. We have a dog and cat on special medications and food. Chewy refuses to offer any discounts except for autoship on the HUNDREDS we spend every other month! Sad. We need a little more than a $5.00 break for awhile.
EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED! I placed an order for my cat's insulin on Monday. On Thursday, they informed me they had not reached my Vet for the prescription (by fax). I told them to call. They did and got the prescription in less than 10 minutes. They told me they would try to ship overnight on Thursday but at the latest we would receive it on Saturday. I asked about the Holiday and was told it didn't matter FedEx overnight would deliver.
Today, I'm told she was new and didn't know how Holidays work and we will not receive his insulin until next Tuesday! HORRIBLE
Chewy is such an excellent company. They have a wide variety of all pet-related products and for a fair price. Their customer service is outstanding- they're always just a call away with little to no hold time. Anytime I've had any food issues, they've taken care of it and allowed me to donate to local shelters- now that's a company that loves pets and supports local communities. I'll always be a Chewy customer!
We have been a customer for over a year for auto ship. It was easy and affordable. Recently both of dogs passed on. Our customer service rep Isreal was so kind to us asking questions and showing true concern for our loss. To our surprise he credited our last order and even sent flowers to us. That really touched us So many times we see large companies treat people like numbers and show little care for their customers. Not Chewy. What a culture they have there.
I have never had any problems with Chewy. I have used them for a couple of years and have always been satisfied with their service. My pet has recently passed away, so I called customer service to get removed from mailing lists. The customer service representative was very helpful and kind. Today, I received flowers from Chewy. I'm very touched by this. If I get another pet in the future, I will use Chewy again.

Answer: No trouble at all. They have the best customer service/replacement/refund practices I've ever encountered. By all means, contact them again if you're having an issue.
Answer: If you are having trouble returning an item, call Customer Service and ask them to assist you. My understanding for returns is any item can be returned, even if it has been used you may return it within 1 year of original purchase. Their Custom Service is available 24 hours, 7 days a week. So, if you work odd hours you don't to wait until Customer Service is available.

Answer: Ever thought of reading the FAQ posted on EVERY SINGLE COMPANIES WEBSITE to answer your own questions? Companies post these FAQ's for a reason. Too bad people are too lazy to read them. Then you scream at the reps you speak to due to your own stupidity levels in NOT READING A COMPANIES POLICIES. FYI it is a CONSUMERS RESPONSIBILITY to read those policies as the company already knows their own policies. FYI shipping from the USA to Canada cost customs fees and taxes which are NOT refundable and if you chose to return an item you will will incur these fees again and YOU are responsible for paying for them not the company you do business with. International shipping also requires proper documentation to get packages through customs. Not every USA company has the man power to deal with this enormous amount of work nor do they wish to deal with the headaches involved with shipping outside of the USA. How so many of you Canadians do not know this information is mind boggling.
