My dogs were on a special diet (Hills k/d food) due to kidney disease. For over a year, Chewy was ok accepting my vet prescription and sending me the food my sick dogs needed. This food was vital for them. Recently chewy asked for me to renew the prescription and so I did, and now they won't accept it. One of my dogs already passed away and the other one is in a difficult phase right now. I've explained my difficult/stressful situation to Chewy representatives and they still won't accept my renewed prescription from the same Veterinarian. They simply won't accept any responsibility and have stoped emailing me and cancelled my orders. I asked for managers to get involved and got the silent treatment. They pretend to be a carrying company but they're not. This could have been the opportunity for them to stand out and do what's right but decided not to. Shame on you Chewy!
I wanted to thank chewy for the flowers they sent after my cat died. I can't express how much that meant to me. It was above and beyond. I hope everyone knows that chewy is so compassionate, and if they don't, I want them to know. Thank you chewy.

I have been a customer of Chewy for 2+ years. I have gotten both cat n dog food, litter n treats etc. I started Chewy when one of my cats was diagnosed w kidney disease n had to have prescription food. It was so easy- I set up my cat on Chewy w a prescription n each time I had to order, Chewy would contact my vet to authorize the purchase. I didn't have to do anything more- very easy. There was a time I ordered the wrong food for another cat, not prescription. I called to ask for return info n they said there wasn't a need to return, I was given credit for the purchase n they said to donate to a shelter. This past week, I had to put down my cat w kidney disease. I had 2 unopened bags of prescription food I wanted to return. Again they said not to return but donate to a shelter (these bags were more expensive than regular food) n they refunded my money. As if this wasn't enough, n I was so grateful, I opened my front door to a delivery of beautiful flowers expressing their sympathy for my loss. Kudos to Chewy n thank u for acknowledging Callie's passing, n allowing me to help another cat. I can't say enough
They couldn't keep my dog and cat prescription food straight. They were plain incompetent. Went with Petco and they didn't have any problems getting our food delivered on time with NO hassle. I foster, so I always had a minimum of 8 animals. I didn't need the stress of not having the right food available.

I contacted them after Sain's passing as we had auto ship and I had just purchased medication. They refunded the medications they could (can't refund prescriptions), plus told me to keep it.
I don't know if you've had good, bad or any experiences with Chewy, but to say mine have been nothing but positive!
Chewy is the best place to shop for your furry bestfriends. I could buy treats and food without worrying if my dog would like them or not. I could return them if my dog is not happy with any of the items. The only problem i have had is with the delivery. Its not their fault, its because of fedex. Sometimes i dont get my package eventhoigh it says its delivered.
My Aunt has ordered from Chewy for her diabetic dog for awhile. Unfortunately he passed yesterday and she called to cancel her orders. They sent a beautiful flower arrangement today. That meant so much to her. This company cares about our four legged children
Every time I try to get food for my dogs they are never in stock. They email you when they are back in stock again without any discount. Then you try to order it again and ad usual it's out stock. Terrible experience with chewy. I'd never recommend them to anyone!
I bought an expensive pond filter that stopped working in 4 months. It was time to close the pond so I put the filter away. Now comes Spring and I contact Chewy and oh well you are one month over the return policy. Return? I only need a ballast replaced. NOPE. My regular pond companies would fix this issue but not Chewy. SO I am done with them and will accept this as a lesson learned.
Chewy has been wonderful. Our dachshund passed away from CHF last week and we had to let Chewy know to cancel our standing orders of meds and food. They did so with speed and compassion. They went above and beyond in offering a credit for or last order. The personal care that the sales department showed is not a common experience these days. We too, were so happily surprised by the kindness of the small bouquet and sympathy note sent from Chewy. What a great way to make a larger company seem small and personal. Thank you Chewy. Well done! We are glad to know such a company for our other pet's needs.
I bought a cat tree through chewy.com. Frisco it was called. The posts on the side with the rope wrapped around them are pretty much clawed apart after a year and when I went to their website to get replacement parts, they don't offer any! How wasteful is that! Instead of being able to replace parts and keep using that cat tree, I have to buy a whole new one. I will never ever again buy anything from them.

I put an opinion regarding the bird food that I had ordered, because the birds stopped eating, I am very grateful for taking my opinion into account and more than that, returning the money without asking for the product to be returned,... great company I highly recommend, and I will definitely continue buying with chewy!.
I lost my cat to cancer. I had just ordered kitty kitty and treats. I called to see if i could return the items. They said i could Donate the items to a shelter abs that they'd refund my money. Two days later i received a vase of flowers from chewy. I couldn't believe they sent flowers to help with my grief. I'm blown away with chewy and will always order from them.
I had to say goodbye to my beautiful Lola almost a month ago. When I called to return her food they refunded the money and ask me to donate the food, I thought that was so kind. And on top of it they sent me flowers with a sweet note. It was such a beautiful gesture, I feel so grateful. It made me feel that Chewy is a big hearted company. Thanks so much.
Not only does Chewy provide special diet food and medicine for our pets at reasonable prices, the deliveries always arrive within 2 days. However, they go above and beyond. Our pets even receive personal cards at Christmas!

We had to put my dog down, and I missed our autoship renewal email to cancel his medication order. I emailed Chewy about returning it, and they responded almost immediately. They told me to keep the package (almost $250 worth of products) and donate it to animals in need. They refunded me without questions, and sent us flowers in the mail as a form of condolence. We will definitely be using them again in the future.
Chewy has always be excellent company to work with from general orders and tracking to getting prescription food from. But when our Labradoodle recently passed away, they not only refunded the price for a vet chat (was chatting with online vet for info on comforting him in last hours) but they also sent flowers! They go way above and beyond what they need to!
My two dogs take apoquel, at a combined cost of $150+ every month by autoship. About a year ago, I caught Chewy lying about getting approval from the vet. When I called them on it, they admitted their error and gave me a credit. Now they've done it again. My vet sent me a copy of the email approval they sent last week. Maybe they have new customer service policies or management, but now they insist that they didn't get approval until today (when I told them I will hold while they call the vet). And when I asked them to overnight the meds (for my extremely itchy dogs), they say the best they can do is 1-2 day shipping. UNBELIEVABLE AND UNACCEPTABLE.
Answer: No trouble at all. They have the best customer service/replacement/refund practices I've ever encountered. By all means, contact them again if you're having an issue.
Answer: If you are having trouble returning an item, call Customer Service and ask them to assist you. My understanding for returns is any item can be returned, even if it has been used you may return it within 1 year of original purchase. Their Custom Service is available 24 hours, 7 days a week. So, if you work odd hours you don't to wait until Customer Service is available.
Answer: Because they make it a point to lie and deceive their customers... I will NEVER use them again!
Answer: Ever thought of reading the FAQ posted on EVERY SINGLE COMPANIES WEBSITE to answer your own questions? Companies post these FAQ's for a reason. Too bad people are too lazy to read them. Then you scream at the reps you speak to due to your own stupidity levels in NOT READING A COMPANIES POLICIES. FYI it is a CONSUMERS RESPONSIBILITY to read those policies as the company already knows their own policies. FYI shipping from the USA to Canada cost customs fees and taxes which are NOT refundable and if you chose to return an item you will will incur these fees again and YOU are responsible for paying for them not the company you do business with. International shipping also requires proper documentation to get packages through customs. Not every USA company has the man power to deal with this enormous amount of work nor do they wish to deal with the headaches involved with shipping outside of the USA. How so many of you Canadians do not know this information is mind boggling.
