The company has established a strong reputation for its user-friendly platform and competitive pricing, with many customers praising the efficiency of the booking process and the helpfulness of customer service representatives. However, some concerns have been raised regarding communication issues, particularly related to flight changes and refunds, leading to frustration among users. While the majority of feedback highlights a positive experience, instances of delayed support and difficulties in correcting booking errors suggest areas for improvement. Overall, the company is viewed as a reliable option for budget-conscious travelers, yet it must enhance its customer service responsiveness.

By far some of the worst customer service I have experienced in the last 15yrs. From outright lies to completely contradicting themselves. 3.5 hours and 4 customer service people and 2 supervisors later they still insisted that their non refundable ticket policy was based on the airlines policy, i rang both airlines in this instance who told me that BOTH the tickets booked through cheapoair are refundable. Cheapoair refused to refund the $1000US for the tickets and insisted it was the airlines policy insisting that I do not know what I am talking about. Completely despicable! This agency should not be allowed to do business. BE WARNED!
Reason for refund was a middle name entered on my booking that is not mine. I booked with only a first and last name yet my ticket was issues with a middle name that I never entered. They insisted I must have entered it, told me I was lieing to them and that they did not believe me. They insisted my only option was to cancel and rebook but that the tickets with the middle name are non refundable. They lied and lied again in an effort to steal my $1000US from me. In the end the airline on the first leg of the trip told me they would change the name for me at checkin which would change it in both airline systems. They then proceeded to add notes to my booking to that affect. Thank you Virgin America!... NEVER EVER AGAIN - THIEF-OAIR (cheapoair).
It couldn't have been an easier, self-explanatory process. I haven't flown in over 10 years and was a little nervous on how the booking process was going to go and if I did it correctly, but I was able to book everything perfectly fine with CheapOair. I called for questions and they were very helpful and knowledgeable. I definitely will be booking through them again! Highly recommend!
I love the website. I know it though my teacher. Its where i can find the flights with the reasonable fare. I will use more in the future. Marking 5 stars is exact
I would advise people to never use cheap o air. They have 3rd rate customer service, poor disclosures upfront and you end up paying more. It cost my family 320 $ / bag for checked in luggage when it could have been free for an international flight from Pakistan to USA just because of the way the ticket was booked by cheapOair. In total they payed extra 1000$ extra. For the same flight that was booked from another online website there was no extra charges for the second checked in bag. I called their so called customer service who were not only rude but also they could not give me a satisfactory answer. Again, plz never use cheapoair and save your money and time.
I booked via CheapoAir a round way ticket for ~$870. A few hours after I purchased the ticket, I had to change the flight dates. In addition, I had to add a person to my travel dates. I called the Customer Support.
The helpdesk told me, if I dont cancel the existing flight and rebook via customer support I dont have to pay any fees. I thought thats great.
The Helpdesk found 2 round way tickets within my new time frame and told me that the price is just a little higher, ~$1050. I agreed to the price Because of the different flight dates and thats what I paid sometimes in the past for my flight destination.
When I got billed it turned out that the flight tickets were $870 each, and CheapoAir was adding an Agent fee of $380! When I called Customer Support to find out about the $380, I was just told that I agreed to the ticket price, regardless if I was told there will be no extra fee, nobody was telling me that I have to pay an agent fee of almost $380. I never got a call back from the supervisor as well. Thank you CheapOAir
Have called cheapoair two weeks ago, two days ago, yesterday, and today to notify them of the diplomatic matter with Qatar airways since the ticket I bought for my mother was with them. I have asked to change the airway and waited hours in the phone. After I spoke to supervisor named Marcel, he told me to call on the 15th of June to get my ticket replaced. Now, it's the 16th of June and I have called from overseas and no one wants to transfer or change my ticket. I have been using cheapoair for long time me and my family members, and I'm very disappointed of the service now. Also, I spoke to another two supervisors one named Brandon and the other one named Christiana or Christine and I said that want my ticket changed to different airline or my money back TODAY! This will be my last time for me or any of my friends and relatives to deal with cheapoair. Very very very unprofessional and complete rip off. Call, email, or chatting won't help, just kiss your money goodbye! SMH

I have booked multiple flights through cheapo air and have had no technical problems. I have received all the necessary paperwork after buying a flight. The website is easy to maneuver.
Buyer Beware of CheapOair! This company is deceptive! I booked two roundtrips with CheapOair, thinking that I could cancel without a fee penalty within 24-hours like other companies offer. However, in tiny print, practically hidden, at the very bottom of the purchase page, it says reservation changes involve a fee. In order to find out what the fees are, you must go to go the Home page, scroll to the very bottom of the page to click on "Taxes and Fees," also in tiny print.
If this company was open and honest, they would place a warning next to the purchase button, alerting customers that ANY changes in their reservation will be charged a fee. I was charge $100 or $50 per ticket to cancel my reservation within 24-hours. I was forced to agree to pay $100 or CheapOair will NOT cancel the reservation. Please do yourself a favor and book directly with the airlines. You will save money (CheapOair charges a sales commission) and you can make any changes within 24-hours for free.
Finaminal services Cheapoair is the best booking site ever my next trip is through Cheapoair there services is above and beyond!
My daughter's name had the last letter wrong. They tried to tell me this small mistake would mean she could not board the plane. I called TSA and the airlines. Not true. Bring a state issued driver's licens that matches your passport. Note mistake on reservations. Check in at main counter for boarding passes. Fill out short form for TSA, and you are good. We have a very long, unusual name, so it is obvious that she is not trying to fly under a different name. CheapOair says they cannot allow someone to travel with a mistake in the name. Since when does an online ticket site decide who gets to fly?
I use cheapoair because it is what the name says 'cheap'. It is very easy to use even for first time bookings!
My experience with using cheap-o-air was an awesome one. It was user friendly and the flights were affordable and there was a variety of dates and time. I recommend it to all my friends and family. I love it!
Nightmare trying to book tickets online: first the price went up $200 at checkout. Okay, s$&t happens, I'll pay it. So I called them instead to make sure that the price doesn't go up again, spent 1.5 hours with the rep and booked the tickets with a new price. They assured me that the price won't change again. Then 12 hours later they sent me an email saying that the tickets are no longer available and now I have to pay $400 more (on top of $200 initial increase) to book flight.
Airline industry sucks. Elon Musk, can you disrupt them please? Can't wait when Hyperloop will be available and all these airline companies will die.
Just booked 3 tickets to Cabo using their site for the sixth straight year. We immediately noticed a extra letter was added to one last name. We called within two minutes of booking and was told by Rep that they needed $75.00 to correct this mistake. It states you have 24 hrs to make changes, no mention of $$. Rep stated our tickets had already been printed, really? Within minutes of our booking. Hard to believe. Rep was located in India, very hard to understand and also her manager, was told if not happy we could tickets for a fee of $75.00 per ticket. No understanding of this mistake, just the usual typical lines they are forced to say. Never will use them again.
I really enjoyed the price with CHEAPOAIR. I would recommend this to my family N friends. It was very easy getting my flight tickets. I love CHEAPOAIR and I am looking forward to my next booking
You go to the same airport, get on the same plane, sit in the same seat. You just pay less. If you need help then you talk to someone l like Robin Gottschalk and you get excellent customer service as well. Hard to find that these days.
As other customers pointed out, the webpage will put an alternate date first to give the impression they have a cheaper flight available than other online flight booking companies. Also, the company doesn't have a 24hr free cancellation policy. It says: 24hr cancellation, but you pay $50 per passenger if you have to do so.
When I used their webpage, I didn't realize that the flight I selected had a different departure date. The website looks similar to other online booking sites. I unchecked the flexible day option, but it defaulted back to it when I did another search. So, looking at the first flight (which was of course the cheapest), I assumed it had the departure date I previously selected. Right after I bought the ticket I realized that the departure day was one day too early. When I called them and wanted to cancel the flight, they insisted on a $50 cancellation fee. To change the flight to the correct departure day would have been about double the original costs (although cheaper alternatives were available even on their website).
In all honesty, I see no reason to use Cheapoair again. Other online flight bookers (travelocity, expedia etc) use a clearer web interface and, most of all, allow free cancellation within 24 hrs. Their prices are basically the same. Booking with the airline directly might sometimes be even a better option, as the seat selection will be guaranteed, at more or less the same airfare.
PLEASE CHECK YOUR TRAVEL DATES! This site will put an alternate date with savings on the same pages as the travel dates requested. You MUST PAY ATTENTION. And if you do not catch it within 24 hours, you will have to pay all the airline fees to have it corrected, plus the higher airfare.
Look on this site for the prices you want, then go directly to the airline's site to do your booking. You will save yourself CheapOAir's booking fee and hopefully some headache and money.
Great flight prices, easy to use website search engine with many options. The best part about Cheap O Air is the promotions and discounts that happen periodically, big savings!
Buyer beware!
You must read everything even if you think you are booking on the correct date they WILL offer you a lower price BUT it is on a different day!
When you call to cancel or change the reservation to the correct date you WILL get the run-a-round and get charged fees to fix your booking!
STAY AWAY and use the airlines sites for much better customer service with no surprises!
I WILL NEVER USE THIS SITE AGAIN!
Answer: I would not use Cheapo under any circumstances. Look at the 698 (!) complaints at the Better Business Bureau website. They hide under the name Fareportal, which is the parent company.
Answer: Don't use them. Book through the airline. I paid to select my seats, then a week before my flight they put me and my companion in the middle seats in different rows!
Answer: Security may not be an issue but they can cheat you by hiding information you should know. I would suggest to not use them and their customer service personnel are also worst I have ever seen.
Answer: Provide the 8 digit booking number and what you need assistance with. Our apologies for the inconvenience
Answer: You can't and they will steal your money like what they did to me
Answer: Because they are scam, they just want to steal money from our pocket
