An unfortunate experience - I tried to book online and did not put in my name as it shows on my driver's license, my mistake. They wanted to charge me $65 to make the change, but finally brought it down to $27. After looking at the new charge, I saw the added in the travel insurance (trip protection) which I did not authorize. I called back and got them to remove it, but when I went on the airline sight the trip had been booked without payment or cost information. I called the airline and they said to call the agent and ask to speak to a supervisor. I did that and they put me on hold for over 20 minutes before I gave up. I called back and conferences in the airline rep to try to clear it up. The cheapo agent said they would resolve it and again transfered me to a supervisor and I am again on hold for over 10 minutes after the agent assuring me I would not be put on hold. Do not use! It's a nightmare. Should have checked this website first.

If i could leave no stars i would. They try to get money out of everything. Please save yourself the hastle dont book with them. I tried to change the name on my booking because i had made a typo and they were trying to charge me 50$ just to change the name. I called them and asked why i wasnt allowed to take carry ons and they said i had to pay 500$ more for each passanger. JUST BOOK YOUR FLIGHTS WITH THE FLIGHTS COMPANY ITSELF AND SAVE YOURSELF FEOM THIS MONEY HUNGRY COMPANY.
Awful experience, they made the mistake in ticketing and I missed my flight waiting to talk to a supervisor (1 hour on hold). While waiting I called 3 additional times and was told by one person that if I didn't calm down he wouldn't help me! Missed the first day of vacation because if them and they acted like they were doing me a favor getting me another, less favorable flight 10 hours later!
I spoke to cheapoair and had to cancel the flight for a reason. The person i spoke to would not listen to me and would not assist me. I spoke to him for 20 min with no resolution. He then transferred me to the cancellation department and the phone call hung up... i was furious at this point because now i had to call again. I then spoke to a guy named Anthony and this call traumatized me. First he was treating me like i was a liar... and then i told him i was done speaking to him and want a manager. He then told me if " if we all wanted things i would want to sleep with brittany spears but thats not going to happen" i was shocked he even said this and pretty much telling me i wont get what i want. I couldnt believe that someone was speaking to me like or would say something like that. I then asked for a manager and was so furious at this point. I have health concerns and this stress really was not helping so i got switched to anothet lady who again wouldnt help and finally they switched me to a manager who finally listened to me and helped resolve my issue. Why could this not be done from the very beginning? I wasted an hour of my time when it could have been easily resolved. I will never book with cheapoair... i will make sure to post my experience all over social media and make sure everyone i know never book with them
Over $ 200.00 seat selection fees which are hidden. This was $ 800.00 ticket turning into over $1,200.00. Very deceptive... go direct to the airline.

This company is scam. After assuring me trip was canceled, credit card was charged $1000 and no one will do anything about it!
They will add charges to your credit card in hopes you dont find out until after your flight. If so they dont have to reimburse them. That is there scam
I booked two tickets for my husband and I to see my son on the west coast. My husband could not go for a work obligation, so we cancelled his ticket and only I went. CheapoAir said my husband would have 1 year/365 days to use the credit worth $507USD. When it came time to use this credit later in the summer, they told us there would be a $400 airline penalty for using it, netting us a total credit of $100. In addition to other hidden fees the credit was basically worth nothing. It's really a shame because some of their representatives are very friendly but with all the hidden rules and hidden fees it always ends up being a miserable experience.
Opposite of user friendly website. Dates changed on me automatically after booking, had the most difficult time getting a refund. My call was disconnected numerous times in the process and every single person I spoke with spoke terrible English. I do not recommend this as this company gave me a headache and had me furious.
This rating should be a negative infinity star... So i made a booking and within minutes like less than 3 minutes i realized that i selected the wrong date accidentally. I contacted these crooks and con artists IMMEDIATELY and they told me i will get a full refund. THE ONLY CON IS I HAVE TO PAY 50 DOLLARS TO GET MY FULL REFUND. How is that a full refund? Bunch of thieves... Never booking with them ever again.

I have been known to be the kind of man that can go with the flow one moment, but at the same time, I can be spontaneous by creating my own adventures in another. In addition, my family and friends would tell you that I'm a really social type of person who is pretty easy to get along with. Some of my other personality traits would include being open minded, reasonable, creative, witty, sarcastic, strong, but I have a big heart underneath it all.

My Complain is for CheapOAir not revealing all the information when booking a ticket and as a result, I was charged for the ticket cancellation.
Last week, we got a couple of tickets for my wife and my daughter to fly to Iran on emergency basis as my wife's grandmother got in a coma.
We noticed that my wife's passport was expired for a month. But, since Iran does not have any embassy in Canada, we decided that she goes to Iran and renews the passport there when she gets there. I searched and I found out that every airline accepts Iranian citizens to travel to Iran with expired passports except Air Canada or the flights operated by Air Canada. I was careful enough to book a ticket that is not operated by Air Canada when booking my flight through CheapOAir. But, nowhere in the search and selection process was a mention of the flight being operated by AirCanada. When I booked the tickets and paid for them, I did notice this issue. I called to cancel the flight and got another flight that is operated by Lufthansa. However, I was told that I have to pay $1260 to change the tickets. This is not fair. Why should I pay for the mistake that CheapOAir made?
I want a full refund of the money.
They r rude ignorant i was on the phone with them for an hour i spoke to 6 different ppl they r cheap and didnt resolve the issue will not book with them again and i will tell everyone not to book with them
I planned to book a trip through this company for our 25th Anniversary. From the time I pressed BOOK it was a nightmare. I was told 24 hour cancellation policy. After all the problems we decided to cancel the following morning. Nothing but a big ripoff they claimed the hotel would not refund one night which was untrue. This reservation was 3 months away. Do not do business with these people!
Cheapoair utilizes predatory and fraudulent billing practices. BEWARE... DO NOT USE THEM... If you have to cancel a trip regardless of the reason they will charge you hundreds in cancellation charges. Worts customer service ever..
I booked a flight to Istanboul through CheapOair. Due to a medical emergency, I had to cancel the trip. They said that they will refund me the full amount, but later said that they will charge me around $500 for canceling the trip. Now they claim that they didn't receive my medical documents, although I faxed them to their fax number and had confirmation of that. I will NEVER book through them again.

I had a very bad experience with CheapOAir. My flight from SFO was delayed and I was sure to miss my connecting flight from Delhi. I called CheapOAir helpline for help to see what can be done. After waisting couple of minutes of my roaming time, she told me that she is not able to reach the airline and I need to deal with the airline directly. (Come-on, if you can not reach the airline from your office how do you expect the customer to reach on roaming.) Well I called the airline and there was no reachability issues with airline. I could cancel my flight with airline and book a new one. The airline told me that I can contact cheapoair after 24Hr for a refund. I called CheapOair for the refund, they directed me to billing department, billing department told me that it is not cancelled in cheapoair so transferred to cancelling department. The cancelling department told me that it is already cancelled so sent me back to billing. Now billing is again telling that it is not cancelled in cheapOAir so again send it back to cancelling. (I felt tortured and harassed). See How poor communication they have in department. Then cancelling department is not taking my call and keeping me on hold for 30 mins. Think of holding so long on international roaming. I dropped and wrote a mail to them with all details. I have not received any response yet (2 day passed) and my money is stuck? Any Idea how can get my refunds back (which is already sent from airline to cheapOAir). I will put the same response on their Facebook page.
Answer: I would not use Cheapo under any circumstances. Look at the 698 (!) complaints at the Better Business Bureau website. They hide under the name Fareportal, which is the parent company.
Answer: Don't use them. Book through the airline. I paid to select my seats, then a week before my flight they put me and my companion in the middle seats in different rows!
Answer: Security may not be an issue but they can cheat you by hiding information you should know. I would suggest to not use them and their customer service personnel are also worst I have ever seen.
