After being on hold for 2 hours to speak to a human, I booked a fight for my minor son. Before hanging up the annoyed agent asked me to check my email to confirm the flight information. I told her my son's gender was listed as female and needed to be changed to male. She said it didn't matter but she would change it.
I checked back daily for a week and the gender was not changed. I submitted a callback request online. I waited 48 hours and had not been called back. I called in and was on hold with an agent for 2 hours while he was waiting to get ahold of the airline to change my son's gender. After such time I agreed to have them call me back after the issue was resolved. I was not called back so I called the airline myself after 12 hours. My son's gender was corrected.
Needing an updated confirmation I called back and asked to speak to a supervisor to make complaints about all of the issues. I had to get so aggressive and refuse to give any more personal information before I was transferred to a supervisor.
The supervisor confirmed that all of the changes were made but they could not resend me a modified confirmation.
I proceeded to ask to make a complaint but it was dismissed with no questions, research, or admission or wrongdoing.
Booked a flight in July on December 29,2018. Had to cancel due to unforeseen surgery. I purchased trip change insurance and when I asked for an airline credit. I was told it would be $50 in addition to the airline's change fee and difference in ticket. I was told the trip change was only good for 24 hours. That's standard gratis with the airline! When I asked for a supervisor after long silences on hold, I got the $50 waived but was told their would be other fees when rebooking. I was NOT told that the only way I'm receiving my credit is through CheapOAir and not through the airline, so I'm hamstrung on all their unspoken, unwritten rules and fees. If I could give 0 stars I would!
Worst experience EVER... I was booking a flight do to a death in family for next day once i enetered all my card info and personal info it redirected me to original page and upped tickets $100 more each. Customer service and supervisors were HORRIBLE! NEVER AGAIN! Expedia saved me!
This is the worst website everrrr! Worst system ever! I book a flight for me and my family, and it was avoided because I am a one adult and I have 2 infants. I knew that our tickets we're avoided when I called the airlines to book our seats, otherwise I would of gone with 3 kids to the airport which is 3 hours drive!
When I first booked the flight, it took me more than 24 hours to complete it, and why is that! Because of their bad system! I red some reviews and they were bad, but I thought that people are Exaggerating, and then I experienced how much bad is this company!

I asked them to change my name on a ticket, and they refused. My middle name is NOT on my passport, but they have it on my ticket. I asked them to remove my middle name, and they were rather rude and refuse to do so. So now, they're telling ne I'll have to purchase a whole new ticket. I called and one rep hung up on me. The other rep, was ZERO help. I HATE THIS COMPANY.
Worst place to book any flight can't talk to anyone on they phone as they all have poor English and they talk way to fast for u to understand what they are saying or doing I had a credit with them around 500$ and to deal with them was a night mare they charged me so much money and the hassle to argue with them over the phone to understand why I was only getting 200$ of my 500$ credit after all the charges, and then to phone them and sit on the phone for 2 hours to see if me and my girlfriend where on the same flight because they changed are flight and cheapo air did not send my girlfriend the same email letting us know about are flight times and destination's have changed, and if I didn't except within 48 hours they would have just cancelled are whole flight and trip all together. I asked the lady on the phone what would have happened if I didn't phone In and check what was going on while my girlfriend did not receive the email? They could not give me a straight answer. So no don't book with them waste of time and your money
I was ready to purchase a ticket, but they sent me an email that they couldn't verify my details and they will need me to call them to verify everything so that the charge can go through. Before I was even able to call them and verify everything, my bank sends me an email that they already charged me. HOW DO YOU CHARGE SOMEONE BEFORE YOU VERIFIED SOMETHING WHICH CONCERNED YOU BEFORE? What if it was someone trying to use my credit card, didn't provide all the information correctly, Cheapoair notices something is wrong, but then decides to charge anyways?!?!?!?! I went on the website and had an online chat with a guy, who although at first tried not to refund me, was helpful at the end and started the refund process. His explanation on my concern was: "Earlier, the billing details were not able to get verified but later our concern team tried again to check your booking. And the details were all verified later s our concern team charges your card and issued the ticket. Your booking is now confirmed and good to travel" My question is - if this is true, how were they unable to verify somethng at first, but then they tried again and this time it worked? Very, very, very bad experience. Would not recommend to my worst enemy.
People, if you care about your money and what happens with your billing on your credit card, NEVER use cheapoair. NEVER!
I booked a flight through Cheapoair. I had to postpone it for several reasons. I called their customer service line which routed me to a call center located in India. Spent a total of 3+ hours on the line with several agents who where all EXTREMELY disrespectful. They did not explain the flight change policies and pricing breakdowns well and kept on changing what they would say. The company wanted to charge me as much money as I had initially paid for. The agents were not attending to my concerns and refused to answer some of my questions nor help find me a satisfying resolution or cancellation alternative.
I felt like the company had me tied up since I had already paid and literally did not consider my booking history as a regular returning customer. I was being kept on hold for over 20-30 minutes at a time without any reasonable reason.
I decided to cancel my flight and got charged a $200 cancellation fee as well as refund of only 70% of the initial price.
This has been by far the worst customer experience I have ever had and I will never consider booking anything from this company. Literally horrible service.
I would strongly recommend you all to avoid this company in case you book something with them and require assistance, you will have a lot of trouble dealing with their service team.

This company will double charge your credit card and will never refund your card so avoid using them. That's what this company did to me. I booked a flight in February 2019 they double charged my CC and ever since I have been trying to get my money back and it is May and I still can't get my refund they have all different types of explanations as to why the refund is still not done. They are a sets of SCAMMERS. Please do not allow them scam you like they scam me. CHEAPOAIR I NEED MY MONEY BACK YOU SETS OF THIEVES!

If you cancel you have to pay $50 on top of what you already pay.
If you want to change your booking, it's $200 on top of what you already pay (Ticket $206 Booking fee $40)
You see on the news people getting thrown out of plane because it was overbooked, they even offer $400 to give up your seat!... But you get charged if you cancel 3 months in advance
The worst customer service. Worst site to book any kind of tickets. They inform me 4 days before my flight that the flight is cancelled and no compensation or new flight tickets in return. No help at all. Had to be on call for 12 hours to talk to any person. Was being transferred from person to person with no help at all. -100 rating for customer service. The passengers were my grandmother and parents, senior citizens and we had to book yet another ticket and spend 1000$ more so that this rip off company could earn more, plus they have to travel for 2 days now because of this stupid cheapoair. Cheapoair should be shut down totally. I regret making any booking through such a cheap third class company. They literally made fool out of me and told me to pay more or forget any booking. Whoever is at the highest post I want to talk to that person and let him know what kind of customer rip off and trash company he is running, trying such cheap ways to make money.
They may offer somewhat cheaper tickets from time to time, but if you ever need to make a date change to your ticket you can expect to pretty much lose all of the money you paid. They charge a hefty change fee ON TOP of the airline penalty, give you a credit that you can only rebook through them, then when you try to rebook they add a WHOLE BUNCH of arbitrary restrictions such as that you cannot change the departing or arriving airport, etc. Furthermore, they only have expensive flights available that you can use your credits for. In the end it turns out to cost about the same as if you were to just purchase an entire flight elsewhere.

After receiving this review the company called and offered a $125 refund, asking me to remove or edit my review. The refund that actually showed up on my credit card was $109 CAD ($81 USD). This is roughly equal to the additional fee they charged + the fare difference between what I found and what they offered during the rebooking. So if we had just bought the ticket elsewhere in the first place we would have spent a similar amount of money except without having to go through this whole ordeal. You can decide for yourself whether the initial ticket price CheapOair offers for the flight you're looking for is low enough to be worth an ordeal like this. Since the company at least cares about its reputation enough to do something about it after I escalated the issue to this website, I increased my rating of them from 1 to 2 stars.
I tried to book flights thru Cheap O Air and their computer system defaulted to the wrong dates before I pressed "Buy". When I called the customer service department literally 5 MINUTES LATER to re-book the correct dates I was told that you could only make those modifications by charging me $80 PER TICKET ($320 more) to do this!
This is unacceptable and when I told the woman I was speaking with to cancel the entire order she wanted to charge me $200 in cancellation fees! She then hung up on me.
RIDICULOUS!
I am now disputing the charges with my credit card company and I am posting reviews about this EVERYWHERE I CAN!

Company is a Fraud. Company quotes a low rate on Kayak.com and other travel sites, and then when you enter your travel information, the next page will say the fare has changed and their website will Automatically book your travel at a much higher fare.
The fares this Company quotes on travel websites to get your travel information are Not Real...
Don't purchase ticket from this Airline. I will upload the picture of my booking and show how you can save money by booking through the airline. I will also upload a picture of my waiting that I wait for their customer service. It was horrible!
I want to mention one more thing that if you purchase the thicket by airline, you have 24 hours free cancellation policy but if you book through this website, they charge you 50 boxes even if you want to cancel it during 24 hour time frame. They are all about your money, once they get it, then they don't care about u.

I realized my mistake after I purchased the ticket. If you want to prevent making the same mistake as I did, learn from my experience.

They will rip you off. The reps will tell you one thing and book another. When asked to produce the recorded call they act as if they can't. NEVER USE THIS SITE TO BOOK A FLIGHT.
I bought insurance with tickets had to cancel still got a big cancellation fee even with insurance. You will be ripped off if you go through this site also have additional fees after paying for tickets

Booked a flight in February of which the returning flight had already been cancelled, of which we were not aware, however, they were. Additionally our air carrier had discontinued flights altogether to our home destination (we live overseas). Long story short, they took our money knowing we would have no way to return home except to purchase another flight from another airline, without refunding us one cent. They kept me on the phone line for over two hours giving the excuse that the airlines was not answering their phone call. Utterly ridiculous... unprofessional... scam, scam, scam.
I was on hold to speak to the billing department for 30 minutes and the wait time is not discussed. After that I hang up. They call back but have to transfer me back to that department and still have to be on hold again.
The chat is an okay service but they take forever to respond. They charged me 340$ for changing a flight that I made withing the 24 hours time frame. I requested a refund and the amount they refunded me is not the same thing that is sent to my emails. Im getting different emails from the billing departmemt not stating what was discussed in the chat. I got six different emails with different amounts that was not discussed for mh total refund. I was on the chat for 45 minutes discussing changes to my flight. This whole thing is just a big mess. Make sure you know exactly what your booking to avoid any confusion or delays. 14 days refund time frame is to long for your money back. Especially if all cancellations was done in a days time frame.
I received an email from the customer service side stating first attempt call back. But number one im at work and I already emailed you can email me back. Number 2 I already answer when I received a call back and got transferred again to the billing department that I was on hold for and number 3 I already emailed the billing department.
Answer: I would not use Cheapo under any circumstances. Look at the 698 (!) complaints at the Better Business Bureau website. They hide under the name Fareportal, which is the parent company.
Answer: Don't use them. Book through the airline. I paid to select my seats, then a week before my flight they put me and my companion in the middle seats in different rows!
Answer: Security may not be an issue but they can cheat you by hiding information you should know. I would suggest to not use them and their customer service personnel are also worst I have ever seen.
