I had recently opened a checking account with Chase through a promotion they had sent me in the mail. The bank I was using (for over twenty years) was bought out and I was dissatisfied with the level of service and charges since the new bank Bank Plus bought them. I accepted the offer to open a checking account with Chase and set up a direct deposit. All was good until I did a mobile deposit. The deposit was made on Thursday 17th and I'm finding out that they will not credit my account with the funds until the 26th. That is nine days! I checked and the check I deposited cleared the funds to Chase the next day on Friday 18th. I would not recommend Chase for a checking account especially if you need your money sooner. I will be withdrawing all funds from account and closing it.
I took a trip to Africa for a month on my way back I was told my flight was canceled and was then stuck in Nairobi Kenya for 2 days. I had to end up buying new tickets for close to $4,000. I've been on the phone with a representative from chase 8 separate times including 2 "managers" they've all told me some form of a lie to get me off the phone. Several times I've been on the phone for 6+ hours waiting. I was promised points back, money back, e tickets, and I have received nothing. These people are truly awful and I've had a miserable time dealing with this bank/credit card. Don't use chase travel they are fully incompetent and just get a different credit card I promise you it'll be better
Used to work for these swindlers. Don't bother banking with these charlatans, let alone work for them. Everything is rigged.
Because of fraud I have asked since December to stop sending them to me the promotional checks. Yet every month I have to call and have them stop sending them. I have been with them since 2006
My wife and I have been Chase bank customers for at least 15 years and usually receive ok to good customer service when we visit the bank and talk with a teller. Today the teller (mickelson?) was rude to my wife not once but several times. He also was not helpful at all for a banking detail that is very important to us. Seems like the bank tellers being hired today are not trained in good customer service. Chase is not the only bank we can put our money in and borrow from.
I was a costumer of chase credit card for over twenty five years. Someone stole my card, when they looked into it they said it was me who was committing the fraud. They never talked to the airline that sold the ticket. Never got in touch with the police that took the fraud info did nothing but call me a lire. Also on the millage reduction part you are just getting screwed and it gets worse all the time. Get a two percent cash back you get three times the rewards if you do the math over travel card.
Chase Bank software program online is terrible and not user friendly. Zelle never works, tried to wire money, that never works. I've had to call 3 times with questions regarding wire transfers. Question: Why does the computer automatically populate the address field with an address then turn around and ask for an address again? I called the recipient, and depending on who you talk to said the address doesn't matter on a wire transfer. If the address is not important, and I input a routing # to recipient, which address is correct? I called the recipient, I now have THREE DIFFERENT ADDRESSES! So WHO KNOWS if this wire transfer will go through... THEN, when it came time for the wire transfer, the system would NOT allow me to wire transfer from my savings, in which case Chase customer service reps couldn't answer my question: Can I wire transfer from my savings? The answer is NO. I freaking give up.
I have been trying to Hera home loans with chase, after a 4 months process and the all documents submitted chase keep pushing back the date for the closing. I have had a very awful experience with them and with their team. I do not recommend chase to anyone because of their poor customer service.
Applied for a Chase credit card in October 2021 with an offer for 40,000 SW Air miles and a $100 statement credit after charging $1,000 to card in 3 months with a charge of $69 for annual card membership. Met all the criteria but never received the $100 statement credit. Called Chase customer service on 2/04/22 and was told they would submit an inquiry to the group that investigates because the offer processed for me was different than my invitation # (which I applied with). Rep said I would receive a written response in the mail. Never received a response thru the mail so called again on 2/24/22, was told my issue was denied because I was given another offer of 3% back on dining instead of a $100 statement credit even though those were not the terms I applied under. With COVID, I rarely eat out and would never have selected that over the statement credit. Told it would be resubmitted for review and I would receive a response via mail. Never received a letter so called 3/15/22. Rep said: my request was denied, there was no one I could speak to about it and it couldn't be submitted again for review. Bait and switch which is fraud. Remember Wells Fargo?
When you go down to your bank and you ask Chase if your bank account can handle a wire transfer of $200,000 and you tell me yes and then when that money supposed to get wired it doesn't make it into the bank because you lied to me and I had a secure bank account and not a checking account like I asked to have so the delay costing me $5000 so the bank cost me five grand because of incompetent employees they can't make sure you have the right kind of account to transfer money into two employees face-to-face lied to me and now I'm $5000 out because I know you don't give a damn cause you're bankers but everything comes around a full circle swing
I always get hung up on and sent to a dead line when dealing with chase customer support. Its pathetic that the biggest bank in the world has such horrible customer service.
I visited a Chase Bank branch recently to pay cash on my credit card balance. I had pulled out my credit card and checked my balance before I left home and forgot my wallet. I arrived at the bank with my credit card and cash to pay on the card. The teller refused my payment because I could not produce my drivers license. I called customer service and no one could tell me why they had this policy but it was a requirement. The guy on the phone was rude and disrespectful- I can see why many people don't like this bank. Very disappointed in my experience and the people I encountered.
I've had a Chase checking account for nearly four years and I've had ongoing problems with viewing my monthly transactions online. Three times a previously functioning username and password suddenly stopped functioning, which in every instance Chase attributed to my computer server, when clearly the problem was on their side and took me hours to adjust. Now it has happened a fourth time, after having used my current username and password for a year and a half, and again Chase is blaming the problem
Which is still not repaired on my computer. I have nearly $300,000 in my checking account, which of course draws no interest, and I would quickly abandon Chase were it not for the fact that they are responsible for several automatic payments, such as my car, health club, and so on. I am not sure which big bank I would suggest, but I do know that Chase is highly inefficient technically and in their customer service, and I lan to collect my money and abandon them as soon as I can.
On March 5th I bought a ten dollar lottery ticket and was so thrilled that I won 1,000 dollars. On March 7th went to lottery office to claim my check all is well even standing in line for four hours didn't bother me to much. So at 5:47 I went to ATM my branch of Chase and deposited said check. Received my receipt saying that check might be put on hold until the 16th March this I found unacceptable so on Tuesday I called customer service and waited about thirty minutes to speck with a rep. Well that didn't go well they interne transferred me to the department that handles the holds on checks. In total I spent four hours and never got a answer. So on Wednesday I decided to call the CEO of Chase Bank in New York and of course he was not available. So was transferred to their executive office and told my story about how I felt they were wrong to put hold on a thousand dollar check from the lottery and the horrible customer service I had suffered thru. About a hour later a young lady called and said they had opened a file regarding the hold on my lottery check witch didn't make a lot sense to me but ok she said she was there for me to get this hold lifted. Ok now it's March 9th so I took it upon myself to call lottery office with check number only to find out that said check has already cleared, I was so excited so I called the so called advocate whos name is Krishina with the great news about the lottery check having cleared. This is where I finally realized that having being loyal customer for around twenty years meant nothing. She went on to explain that this had nothing to due with the funds being available this had everything to do with their policy of putting holds on checks and she was only there to try and get Chase to release funds early witch goes against their policy. So in short I still haven't received my money and most likely won't until March 16th. So in closing I realize that I don't matter the money doesn't matter their policy is all that matters. And yes I will be leaving Chase. The thought that a bank this size and all that matters is their policy's and to ask them to bend a little requires a full investigation on their part is mind blowing. Thanks for letting me get my story out there.
Went to Peterson branch of Chase, not user friendly. Snippy, nasty woman greeting me at door, unable/unwilling to provide service that was easily provided at 5th/3rd Bank. I will be doing further business with a bank that values me as a customer.
You can stay in a line to talk with someone for hours. It is the worst experience I ever had. My online banking account was blocked and it took me 3 days and hours on the phone to unblock, only because I forgot the password and change it. I'm writing this review during holding on the line. Monday 03/07/22. They transferred my call 3 times and now nobody is answering.
I, AS WELL AS MILLIONS OF OTHERS, HAD REDUCED WORK HOURS, OR LOST THEIR JOB ENTIRELY BECAUSE OF COVID. SO I WENT TO CHASE TO TRY AND GET A CONSOLIDATION LOAN. NO HELP! OK FINE! NO OVERDRAFT PROTECTION, FINE! SO TRYING TO MAKE ENDS MEET ON A 25 HOUR WORK WEEK SUCKS! SO LOST MY MOM TO COVID, FINE! HAD TO COME UP WITH $6000 CASH TO BURY HER, FINE! SO NEEDLESS TO SAY IT'S BEEN ROUGH. THE LEAST THAT CHASE BANK COULD DO IS TO MAKE SURE THAT THE INFO THEY PROVIDED TO ME IS TIMELY. BEFORE I MAKE A DEPOSIT, BE IT MONEY OR A CHECK, I WOULD ASK THEM, "ARE THERE ANY CHARGES TO MY ACCOUNT PENDING", TO WHICH THEY WOULD REPLY, "THERE IS NOTHING PENDING" SO I DEPOSITED $450 TO PAY A BILL, MY BALANCE AT THAT TIME, AND WITHIN 5 MINUTES OF SPEAKING TO A CHASE REP, WAS ABOUT $1.20, BUT NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN I ONLY HAVE ABOUT $65 IN MY ACCOUNT! SO I CALLED THEM BACK, NOW THEY CLAIM THEY DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT THAT! THIS COMPANY HAS DONE THIS TO ME ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS, INCLUDING TODAY! THEY HAVE OPENED AT LEAST 4 NEW ATM'S IN MY AREA, AND TWICE THEY HAVE EATEN MY MONEY, AND THEN I WOULD HAVE TO WAIT FOR A WEEK FOR THEM TO REVIEW THE LOGS AND ATM CAMERAS TO PROVE I DEPOSITED MONEY! ALL OF THIS JUST PROVES THAT CHASE IS NOT FOR ME OR YOU, UNLESS YOU HAVE A DECENT AMOUNT OF MONEY THERE! AVOID THEM LIKE A PLAGUE! CHARLIE H.
I had check fraud in Dec and claimed those checks. Without my signature the bank paid from my account. It's completely the bank fault but they don't refund them yet. They said It's under the investigation and I have nothing to do. So frustrated!
On July 14th of last years I was assaulted by a park and 10 of my CC's were stolen. All banks have me accreditations except for the Chase and Freedom CC's. Chase gave me accreditation on my Chase debit card, but refuses to accredit me on my CC's? I've been in contact with them ever since and supposedly by the 4th of March again they will let me know if they will accredit the CC's. I will take them to court if I have to. They can't have it both ways? Accredit the debit card permanently on 10/18/2021 and tell me that I'm responsible in the credit cards, yet 2 of the debit card accreditations on the fraudulent charges accredited? The same company as shown on the debit? Are also shown on the Freedom and Amazon charges, regardless they are playing possum with me. I've been trying since last July if 2021 and all they can tell me is that I made those CC charges, yet they accredited me on my debit card for the fraudulent charges that were also made by the CC's on the same days? Im very upset.
Their customer service is the most horrendous I have ever experienced. Talked to them for over two hours, was transferred at least 10 times (each transfer was at least a 10 minute wait) and no one could resolve my seemingly simple issue. Incompetent and unhelpful to say the least.
Answer: Offered as a finance for auto loan... I am seriously thinking of changing banks..
Answer: Because they can and they don't care. The customer service outside of the branch is non-existent. They truly don't care about anything other than the amount of money they can collect from the interest they can collect from our money.
