Awful!
July 8, 2021

We purchased truck and it was delivered w/ no problems. However, the registration was awful! After several weeks Carvan finally completed registration and plates were sent. A few days later the State dmv sent a letter and said tax and fees did not go through and insufficient funds from account. We were told to pay (which carvana was supposed to) in 7 days or collection fees and repossession of truck will happen. Carvana referred us to 3rd party loan, who referred us back to Carvana and was not helpful. Awful experience!

Absolute Trash
June 15, 2021

First off, I would like to give 0 stars but that is not an option. I had delivery scheduled for 6/11/21, that got canceled because a driver called off. How is that acceptable and my fault because they had someone call off? It's not. Then, they say everything is fine and will delivery it a week later. Now, I have to take two days off of work. So, the week goes by, the day before, I get a phone call saying that my delivery is delayed... AGAIN. This time their excuse was that there wasn't enough room on the roll back truck to deliver my car to the hub center. This is ridiculous. If you need a car, just go to a dealership and get one there. Still waiting on the car, lets see if they deliver it on the new date ANOTHER WEEK from the already rescheduled on.
If you are from Carvana reading this. Get my car to me.

My nephew purchased a vehicle from Carvana. Registration never completed. Temporary tags expired and not updated. He was ticketed for expired plates. He had to register car himself and is still waiting months later for refund of his out of pocket payment that Carvana had previously collected as part of purchase

DO NOT USE
May 19, 2021

I purchased a 2018 Wrangler Unl from Carvana... easy buying process... financing was through Bridgecrest... everything went down from there.
Bridgecrest is horrible to deal with. Carvana will tell you to call with any problems, but they do not help at all. The customer service people at Carvana will just tell you to contact Bridgecrest... and that is just a fresh hell. So... best choose another car dealership or find your own financing. Both do these companies, Bridgecrest and Carvana are not ethical.

I called and was transfered 3 times. I was on hold for over an hour and ended up on an open line. I could hear kids in the background but no customer service. It is the worst company I have dealt with and I am 60 years old. If you have time to waste it may be your company. I will never consider doing business with them again. Waste of time!

Carvana is a scam
April 19, 2021

I sold my car to carvana and they will not pick it up. I think they do not want my car. It is a piece of crap 2007 Toyota that burns oil. They abandoned it in my driveway and are going to sell it at auction for less than they paid.

I put money down (fully refundable) and a hold on a newly listed vehicle on Carvana. A bit overpriced according to Kelly Blue Book & Car Gurus, but what I wanted and they valued my trade at a bit more than I expected. The vehicle to be purchased has a rather high demand and received numerous additional "holds" over the next few days

The listed car would be "going through inspection" and I would be able to complete the transaction when that was done. My trade price was valid for 7 days. I secured a loan on the numbers they gave me.

I began calling after 4 days to complete the transaction- was told the vehicle not through inspection although it showed on line that it had passed the 150 point checklist just did not have the final pictures of imperfections. On the 6th & 7th day, they did not know when the inspection would be completed - I stated I wanted to lock the transaction price = they said my trade value should not change, in fact it could go up.

On they 8th day (a Sunday) I received notification the deal was ready to complete but they would have to redo my trade in. No condition change and it had fewer miles than I had estimated in the original submission. They re-evaluated it ~10% than less, but the new price would be valid for 22 days.

I firmly believe they delayed the final inspection report so they could maximize profit on this transaction for a vehicle in demand. Guess you can't blame them, but I believe they miss led and lied to me.

Can't believe how terrible it's been they are not all it's cracked up to be and don't have your back I've been waiting on my car since 3/31 was supposed to get on my birthday they cancelled the day before and rescheduled without my availability for 4/15 at 11am I request off work and an hour before I have to leave to start driving I get a text not a call to tell me that the car was damaged and they have to send it off to be repaired. They don't call you back and don't give a $#*! that you have had to pay for a rental car for a half of a month and not to mention insurance I've been paying for since before the first pick up. They are unprofessional and think that an apology is enough when you call "I'm sorry ma'am unfortunately this happens" they need better staff and need to back their word better. Lie without issue and somehow they still have a bunch of good reviews on their website... I call bull$#*! no way all those reviews are real. Worst experience I ever had buying a car. I am going to a dealership today and more than likely going to cancel with them all together

I bought my car in January 2021. The buying process and delivery was fairly simple and easy. Shortly after my car was dropped off I noticed there was a large area of paint missing on the front bumper. The vehicle inspection report only light scratches from normal wear and tear. And the Carfax had no reported accidents. I mentioned the discoloration of the plastic trim on the front end and it was dismissed. I sent a photo of the missing paint to the field advocate who dropped my car off, and she said the repair should be totally covered by the waranty and the warranty info was in my folder. The day after I got my car I packed it up to move from ohio to Arizona, it took 3 days to drive and then I spent the weekend moving in to my apartment. I just had a week off of work this week so I took my car to get looked at. The driver's side mirror was also damaged when I took possession of the vehicle. They covered the replacement mirror and replaced the engine idle stop/start switch which was also defective. When I picked the car up the guy at the dealership said it looked like the vehicle was in a front end collision. Which explains all of the messed up paint on the front end and the trim. And possibly the damaged mirror. I immediately contacted carvana to notify them as I had been told by one garage that the warranty would not cover paint. They said since I did not contact them within the first 7 days there was nothing they can do about the damage to the front end of the vehicle. I informed them that I had texted the field advocate with pictures on day one, which they said didn't count because that poison did not notify the correct department of the preexisting damage to the vehicle. So now I get to live with a wonky home garage looking paint job on the front end of my 40,000 dollar car, because I wasn't able toget my car looked at within 7 days while moving across the country. So I guess my point is. Their "thorough inspection" is apparently not thorough enough to see a crappy repair job from an obvious accident. So make sure you get your car to a mechanic ASAP for a real thorough inspection because if you don't get it in within 7 days you don't exist. Also, the car in the photos on the carvana site that I thought I was buying do not show the obvious damage to the front of the vehicle. So keep in mind if you buy, what you see is probably not what you're going to get.

The future of car buying is not Carvana. Carvana's verification process for down payment funds (my bank does not connect through plaid) and loan (since my loan is through a third party) is tedious and time consuming. The only reason I wanted to use Carvana was to avoid spending half a day or more dealing with high pressure sales people. Instead, over the span of a week I spent half a day or more in my office and on the phone dealing with Carvana's verification process. Be prepared for long wait times with Carvana's "advocates" and dropped calls. Carvana's process does not make life easier, it merely aggravates the car buying process. Do not recommend. Stick to your local dealer. Even assuming I can close my current deal I will not use Carvana again.

Carvana is a scam
January 2, 2021

My husband found a car he liked on Carvana and paid a $100 deposit to "reserve" it. He was told they would bring the car to him for a test drive within 3 days. After 5 days he called and was told the car "has already been sold". Also, Carvana had been unable to supply pictures of the actual car supposedly for sale, which seemed very fishy. And the icing on the cake? Turns out the $100 was NON-REFUNDABLE, although it does NOT say that anywhere we could find. Run, do not walk away from Carvana.

After 3 months of buying this car, I still have no plates. With no idea of when it will arrive, there is a good possibility it may never arrive. Carvana makes you sign an agreement so that you cannot sue them even if they sell you a car you can never drive. It's all a great big corporate con!

Carvana DONT!
August 26, 2020

They are great at selling but there is NO support. Bought my truck June 4 and waited 3 weeks with no ship date. After leaving bad reviews they called and said it would ship the next day. They called 20 min later and said they had dented it. Another week and half and it finally shipped. The temp plate they sent me expired soon after I got the truck and now I cant use it. Nobody at carvana knows where my plates are. Unbelievable they are still in business. Save yourself the headaches and go see a dealer, they know what they are doing.

I purchased a vehicle from Carvana on January 29,2017 and was provided a clean Carfax report without any accidents or other damage. In December 2019 I decided to trade in this car and purchased a Carfax report to verify the Carfax report provided me by Carvana on January 29,2017. I was shocked to see that Carfax had added a "Damage Report" dated 9/27/2016 or 4 months before I purchased the car from Carvana. In other words Carvana had sold me a damaged car. I contacted Carvana and sent them the copy of the Carfax report with the 9/27/2016 "Damage Report". Carvana's response was to offer me an amount $3000. 00 less than the KBB average trade in value for the car without this late inserted "Damage Report". This was a high performance luxury car that Caravan had priced accordingly. My recommendation to anyone is to stay away from Carvana. They cannot be trusted to stand by their cars. I'm sure that if I had bought this car from a local dealership I would have been treated more fairly. NEVER BUY A CAR FROM CARVANA.

Another Carvana Delay
October 28, 2019

Another Carvana Delay

My car was scheduled to be delivered on Wednesday October 30th. But now its November 6th. I was told this is Carvana's M. O. I was hoping for the best but they got me too. I'm seriously thinking about canceling. It sucks because my credit went down when they checked my credit... and Im paying for insurance on a car I don't have.

It's so frustrating.

I would never recommend or use Carvana again.

BUYER BEWARE!
July 10, 2019

I bought a 2017 Nissan Armada from Carvana in April 2017. The Carfax said no reported damage. The back bumper paint started flaking off and a local body shop told me it was because it had been repainted and repainted poorly. I was never told of this by Carvana who never identified this repair. When I contacted Carvana Tyrone gave me the brush off and said nothing they could do. I suspect they are buying damaged cars cheaply repairing them and then selling them cheaply as was the case in mine. I will never buy from them again!

Nightmare
July 10, 2019

We tried to buy a car. We canceled the order. Carvana withdrew $8800 the next day "by accident" and won't give it back for 7-10 days. Since I'm not buying a car I cannot get anyone to even talk to me. I cannot wrap my head around how much this will cost because of all the fees I will be charged by my bank because they cleaned out my account.

First, I loved browsing all of the cars available. There were over 14,000 cars to choose from. There were so many options in order to filter the searches. I always used, leather, sunroof, gps navigation, V6 engine. There were about 900 cars that fit the description. Ultimately, I settled on a 2015 BMW 535. The price was $23,900 and I only put $1,000 down- no trade. At first I was leary about putting my sensitive personal information online, because of past experience, plus a copy of my drivers license. However, everything went off without a hitch. There are a few options for delivery of your new vehicle, which was very convenient. I chose the delivery to home option. Eight days after I paid for the car it was delivered to my front door. I test drove my Beemer and that was it! I had 7 days to return the vehicle but there was no way that Baby was going back. Best experience Ive had buying a vehicle. I give Carvana.com a perfect 5 stars.
