The car they sold me has a bad engine and transmission. They then are making me wait a month to refund my money! The car is back in the website for sale!
I bought a car that needed a new battery, tires in the front the belts were showing. My oxygen sensors had to be replaced and I now have a light on that we can't figure out why. That little 1000 mile warranty or whatever it is was just long enough to get me to have to sink money into a car they swore they do inspections on. They are lying!
Purchased a vehicle from carvana in May 2023. Agreement was to purchase the vehicle, have the car registered by carvana and then delivered to my residence. Ive held through on my end of the contract, however they havent. The car was neither registered and I have been unable to drive the car for a month now. They told me 11 days ago is have my tags in 5 to 7 days and I still can't drive but they want me to pay on time. Monday I'm filling a law suit against them like so many states and other people all over the country have done. Today I contacted their rep names Sebastian and he told me they would contact me in 20 minutes. 3 hours later and they haven't contacted me. I have never been so angry or had such a horrible experience in my 64 years. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM! BUY LOCAL FROM A DEALER OR PRIVATE PARTY.
Please look at all of the photos. Do not buy from them! Horrible company, horrible customer service! Untrained incompetent staff!
This was my first and (last) time purchasing a car from Carvana. It seems great in theory with all their "certified and inspected for quality" mumbo jumbo. When my car arrived I had it checked out by 2 auto shops. Both shops said I needed replacement tires. I called Carvana customer service and the lady assured me that when they inspected the tires at the warehouse it was to Carvana standards. Oh really lady? Then why did 2 auto shops said I needed to replace my tires?! I was charged 100 bucks for my new tires! Anyways after that, my car started having trouble with the air and alignment. Just beware if you're buying from here. I would recommend just going to the dealer and save yourself the headache.
We bought one car from them and had a bad experience, but we thought we'd give them one more try: THEY'RE STILL H O R R I B L E! MUY MALO. DISASTER. Not sure how they can be in business even! I've been on the phone with them as well as tried to provide documents, spent hours and hours and hours=Going to a dealership that is a royal pain in the $#*!, is way, way, way better than dealing with $#*!VANA! Please I highly suggest you don't use them since they're a HORRIBLE company in short.
I want Carvana.com to do well, since dealership absolutely are horrible and maybe they do well in some cases, but I likely would not use carvana.com again. We got a Tesla Model S, but changed to a newer Model 3, but thought that would not be a big deal. IT WAS a big deal for them. 4 months later, still have not gotten a tag. They also promised things they did not keep. I've been on the phone with them TONS of times and just got off the phone... Talked to 4 reps, then she said "Let me research this a few minutes"... a few minutes went then disconnected. A horrible company! I'd say don't shop there.
I went on their website with the intention of selling my SUV. I got an offer I would have accepted but it just says save and continue. No option to schedule review and close the sale. All I get is save, continue and buy. Pretty much a big waste of my time. Ane then read the review that their customer service ratings are as low as they could go. BIg waste of my time.
I am an American soldier.
I went through the hiring process, and they ran a background check to include a DOT physical and a drug test I passed everything. They scheduled my start date but I couldn't make it because the US Army put me on orders. Carvana decided to not to move forward and dropped my application. With the following email.
Hi,

The Polk County Sheriff's Office has confiscated a 2018 Camaro ZL1 that was sold by Carvana 17 months ago.
Records show the car was reported stolen in Texas six months before it was sold in Florida.
You know that they don't do any 150-point inspection. Repair shop find it and you don't. Stop making excuses. I hope carvana goes bankruptcy.
You know they don't do any of their so-called 150-point inspection. If they did, they would not sell you a stolen car. Do yourself a favor and run your own diagnostic check within the 1st 7 days. They don't your best interest. DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM. I hope they get shut down. This is my engine looks like when the Cadillac dealership took the pictures and said the Cadillac was never ever maintain before it got to me. They are bunch of crooks. I will be sharing this on my wall and telling all my friends top posted on all social media. People are telling thanks for the share.
On 01/18 my husband and I signed a contract for a vehicle 1290 down, 990 delivery to be put against our loan as down payment when vehicle delivered. Insurance submitted, banking information submitted, everything completed and delivery to be 01/27. The very next day on 01/19, they told us we could get the vehicle 2 days earlier. We asked an advocate how to do this and they told us to change the delivery date. By doing this, the terms completely changed and they say they dont have original contract. We asked how long the contracts and terms are good for. They said 30 days. So you have no way of getting the old contract. The next morning they took 7100 from our account. We were assured by Carvana that the money will be put back minus the 990 for the delivery. We had to cancel the charge with the bank. Now - they wont give us the 990 back for delivery of a vehicle we never received and will not honor the original contract. They will do nothing and will not allow us to speak to anyone but an advocate. Looking into attorneys.
On 2/2/2024, I attempted to purchased a vehicle from Carvana. On 2/5/2024, BEFORE finalizing my application/approval, Carvana withdrew the deposit, which was $2,300, from my bank account. It took 1.5 business days for Carvana to withdraw money from my bank account but it will take Carvana 7-10 business days to return it. Why are they allowed to briefly steal money from consumers BEFORE finalizing approval? Now I can't get a vehicle until Carvana returns my money. That is extremely unacceptable!
We purchased a car from Carvana three years ago. Within those three years we never received a license plate. It's always been a temporary. Fast foward to today the year of #2024, the car got towed from my job, which we thought got stolen because no warning or anything about the tow was giving before or after it happened. A week in a half goes by Carvana tells us that they haven't been getting recent payments, and we have proof they've been paid. Coming to find out they were putting the payments towards another car(again not our fault) Carvana also sold the car to us illegally. The title was never turned over to us. Still had the previous owner(s) on it. The car was originally a rental at Hertz. Hertz never marked the car as being returned. Therefore Carvana sold us a car that was technically still being rented out. Fast forward again…they are now telling us that we owe a large sum of money to get the car back. We have decided we will never buy another car from Carvana again! My life has been changed for almost two weeks now. I now have no transportation, I have to depend on others to get me to and from work etc. I would suggest anyone looking to buy from there to please do your research and make sure they have taken care of what's needed for the car to be solely yours. I could have easily gotten in trouble because it could have been reported as stolen and I'm driving the car. Never again will I purchase from Carvana. My world is turned upside down because of this. Not a very happy customer at all!😡👎
Just wanted to better understand why the warranty is not stated on the documents they wanted me to sign. Talked with 3 different people that could not understand anything... Very poor company and I canceled the order and will never use them again!
The reviews on their website are completely fake, they even admit it in the description above the review page stating "weve compiled a vast array of reviews to help bring transparency to our unique car buying process". They are openly admitting to picking and choosing (compiling) their own reviews and are you ready for this? They claim on their website to be posting 191,919 public reviews that are practically ALL 5 STARS with an average review rating of 4.7... out of almost 200,000 "customers" this is such a ridiculous and far fetch lie that its shocking they have this on their website and as a recent customer I can confidently say THEY DO NOT GIVE THEIR CUSTOMERS THE ABILITY TO LEAVE A REVIEW.
As you can imagine, our experience with Carvana in September of 2023 was absolutely deplorable and it was the saddest car buying process we have ever gone through. Carvana loves calling it a "car buying experience" but its just not even close to that.
This company does not deserve to survive and its downfall is coming, just take a look at that stock price!
Please do not use Carvana!
I was going to trade in my car a year and a half ago but changed my mind since the Lexus they sent me was not what it said in the listing.
They said no problem and brought back my Avalon without my plates. Annoying, but whatever...
Now I need my title for an insurance claim but apparently Carvana still owns my car. Ridiculous!
I was looking for a specific kind of car, a Subarubu Forester, and was having issues finding one I liked. Which I why I chose to go through Carvana. For the most part, the purchasing process was easy and all the reps were delightful to talk too. I ended up buying the extended warranty plus. I was promised that if anything mechanical, that was not cosmetic, would be fixed. Right off the bat, there were some delivery options and some issues with the vehicle that weren't not mentioned. Nothing big, just a slow window when rolling up and a bald tire. Welp fast forward 2 months when I notice a kind of skreetching sound started to be heard when cutting the wheel. I took it in, the shop couldn't hear anything but made a notation of it. So recently, at about a year and a half, I take it in again to the same shop for the same reason and an oil leak. The shop definitely hears it this time and say it's my rack and pinion and tie rods and 2 seperate oil leaks. Silver Rock the warranty company that is apart of Carvana(not a seperate entity) says they won't cover the rack and pinion or fix the leakd because the parts aren't disabling the vehicle. Yes, you heard that correctly. Your vehicle must be undrivable before they will fix big issues. I got clarification of this on the phone. So buyer beware. The sales reps will sell you on the warranty to put your mind at ease and when it comes time for them to hold up their end of the deal, you'll get screwed. You'll pay for a service and not get it.
Good luck getting a refund (even before closing). I ordered a car to find out that it couldn't be titled. That was fine because i hadn't closed on the purchase but when requesting a refund it has been a complete nightmare.

Problem #1. We got an offer for $10.000 for our car. While filling out multitude of online forms and sending in many screen shots, they did not mention they needed photos of everyone's driver license on the title. When we used their chat feature all we received was the same canned notification from Sabastian that we would be contacted in 24 to 48 hours. After replying to Sebastian two times over 6 days, we never got an answer. I called their customer service dept. who informed me they needed a copy of my driver's license.
I uploaded a photo of my driver's license and was told it will be 5 to 10 minutes to complete everything. After being on hold for 20 minutes, I was told it will be only be a few more minutes. When my hold time reached 59 minutes, the customer support person hung up on me. After a few minutes, a text message arrived asking us to sign into the website to complete the transaction.
Problem #2. The offer had been reduced from $10,000 to $7,700. Back on the phone with customer service plus a second call to their corporate office. Of course, we were placed on extended hold so they could "research this issue". We were told our mileage which was at 39,700 had magically increased to over 69,000 miles. Apparently the odometer photo we uploaded was completely ignored. I understand people make mistakes but Carvana refused to admit they created this issue and never apologized for anything. Come on Carvana, own up to your mistake of entering false information. Were you trying to cheat me out of $2,300?
Problem #3. It took 4 calls and almost 2.5 hours on the phone (mostly on hold) to get this straightened out. We are having the car picked up and Carvana refused to wave the $40 pickup fee. I guess the frustration and wasted time they created doesn't matter. So much for quality customer service.
Problem #4. Carvana makes it difficult to leave a review. Their Sebastian chat did not offer any help on this matter. I had to open a chat with Samantha in their customer support and asked how to leave a review on their website. I was told to do it via Google. What a SHOCK, that doesn't work.
Now, every time I see a Carvana TV commercial stating how easy it is to use them, I will be reminded of this transaction. My advice if you use them, stay on top of everything, don't rely on the automated Sabastian bot, be prepared to speak with their customer service reps who are very hard to understand due to their accents and broken English, are a bit rude and be placed on very long hold times while they "research the problem".
We bought a car that they said they did a 150 point inspection and their website says they do an oil change. We picked up the car and the check engine light was on, two brake/tailights were oiut, fluids were le, it was low on gas and they didnt even bother to do the emissions certification which state law requires BEFORE w dealer can sell a car. They told us "oh its all covered under the first 7 days of warranty" just take it to a preferred repair facility. We called four and they all declined it because they said they dont get paid. Carvana agreed they didnt do their 150 point inspection or even an oil change but then refused to make it right or do it. The car needs thousands of dollars of work and says to call Silver Rock to "work it out". Silver Rock told us to call Carvana because it was their misrepresentation. They dont stand behind their promises. Very dissappointed. But the worst is you cant call anyone except some random customer service number who then doesnt know anything. Returning the car it looks like because we feel lied to.
My family bought from Carvana in May 2023 in MA. They gave them a "temp 3mth" registration. They have not sent the plates or registration.Over 50 calls and texts. They are nice on the ph, but never actually follow thru. Its Dec.2023. They offer $ for the inconvenience, but never send it. Some states have filled Class Action suits about this very problem.DO NO BUT FROM THEM. We checked the Sec of State site, the vehicle we are paying on is not registered to our name... ITS ALL A SCAM
Will not show up as promised. Pathetic customer service. Many other services will buy your car. Save the frustration and go anywhere else! You've been Warned.
Answer: "Customer Service"? There is no customer service. It's just email runaround and they sell the car out from under you without even telling you. And... they keep your deposit. It's more like customer DIS-service
Answer: Don't buy from them. The are just like used car salespeople. No difference! Rip-off!
Answer: I had the most amazing time buying a car through Carvana; I got a loan quikly, got my car in a couple weeks and the car is an awesome car; its all registered for me and I just got it inspected, passed no problem. My car only had 42,000 miles on it and rarley was driven. YES get a car from Carvana they are so great! My payments are super low too.
