Made the online purchase process, which was easy, but then came the delivery! Delivery rescheduled 4 times with no explanation except, "logistics". Every time they delay they make you sign a new sales contract with new dates. My big mistake, I sold my car just prior to the first scheduled delivery. Left without a car, I had to rent a vehicle to get me by. After nearly two weeks of delays the rental was becoming very expensive, and the delivery that was supposed to happen today, 4 May, is rescheduled again, to 7 May. Not trusting that delivery promise anymore and in a position where I cannot afford to stay in a rental I've decided to cancel the Carvana deal and go elsewhere!
Horrible experience. Totally unorganized. Made it impossible to buy and tried to cally bank. They could not read my uploads and they started asking me to register the car in a state it was not owned in. They are a "Dumpster on fire."
Beware of Carvana's 'pre-approval'. I was pre-approved but ultimately denied financing due to being self-employed. The official reason they gave in writing was that I had too many credit inquiries, funny thing - Carvana's inquiry was the only one with Experian (the bureau they used). This dropped my score from 'very good' to 'fair'... adversely impacting my credit for the next two years. When I contact Carvana customer support about this, they said I shouldn't have proceeded with the application. My proceeding with the application was based solely on my pre-approval!
First my car was scheduled for delivery on a certain day but it didn't show up. So I called and they told me they hadn't even finished the inspection so my car was finally delivered 3 weeks after the scheduled day. Then my paperwork was mailed to me and it was wrong so I had to call and request them to fix and resend all my documents. They did and I sent it all back. Over a month later they were still saying they never got my papers. I called and asked them for new registration paperwork so I could send it in. They told me to give it a week and call again if they didn't get my paperwork. So I was supposed to call them if they didn't get my paperwork. It seems like the didn't. I made 4 payments on my car when they redid my whole contract. They messed up my loan and made it look like I was over due by all of my payments. It took them about a week and constant pestering for them to fix it. Once that was fixed they took 2 payments when I only authorized 1. Do not buy from this company. They are shady.
Management in Knoxville Tennessee Phil and Jacqueline are the worst people you could ever deal with in your life I don't recommend anyone going to that location they treat their employees horrible they say racist comments do not go there
When Carvana or any company's transaction goes smoothly, they get satisfactory reviews, kudos even. But what if the transaction gets derailed? That is when great companies separate themselves from the pretenders. Carvana is in the pretender camp.
On the day of the promised delivery date, I get an email that morning from Carvana stating that the delivery has been postponed for three weeks. No phone call, no apologies, just a system generated email. Mind you, the transaction had been locked in for two weeks. When I called them they stated that the car still needed their 150 point inspection. Really?!... I was dumbfounded. I made it very clear on a number of phone calls to different Carvana reps that none of this was even remotely acceptable and escalation was requested through their management ranks. Not once did I get a call back from their higher ups. Further when I pushed for compensation for their internal mistakes (again... admitted by two reps during these calls) in requesting rental car payment compensation during the delay, their minions only offered $230.00 as 'inconvenience payout'. Further, that compensation process would be rolled into a 45 to 60 day timeline followed therein by another 10 to 15 days for distribution of those funds... if... approved. If approved? If approved?!
So... as a consumer let me go thru the entire process... I hustle to place the order agreeing that the price is firm, hustle to download all necessary information on line required by Carvana, most of all to ensure my funds are arranged and at the ready for delivery... get countless automated emails from Carvana about how the original agreed to delivery date is approaching, start getting revved up that I will be driving my highly anticipated car of choice... and then Carvana just plain fails all the way across the board.
Still waiting for that upper management phone call... think I'll get it? I cancelled my order today and got another car at a dealership. Never thought I'd enjoy haggling with that salesman on the price, but it sure beat this Carvana experience! I will take every opportunity I get to bad mouth Carvana and dis-sway anyone from using them.
I bought a car from Carvana after picking the car up I was informed that the car had over spray all around the drivers door. So I opted to choose a diffrent car same make same price a year older. Everything was going fine signed new contract had a rep arrange to pick up the car I had and replace with my new selection. Then I get a call from the under writers saying I had to make another $23,000 a year to take this new car. And that I could have a car for $200.00 payment amonth plus they still wanted to pick up the car I recieved already. The reason why I had to earn $23,000 more a year is because the car had more options on it. I have since taken it to a body shop to get the over spray fixed and the body shop guy says the car been in a wreck. Even after Carvana claims there cars are wreck free.
Everyone I spoke with from carvana lacked knowledge on what their company can and can't do. Therefore costing me a lot of money and ending up a waste of time. Why would the website/appointment you to trade in your car from one state and have it delivered to another state if that wasn't allowed. To only find out less than 30 minutes of the delivery arrival! That the contract "needs to be rewritten." Which wasn't true needed to be voided all together. The sales rep that I booked my trade in with tool the date and address down of the pick up vehicle. Even called me back to confirm the spelling of my father's name. To find out that it is illegal for carvana to pick up a trade in car with out the owner of the title present. Overall everyone whom I spoke with gave me a lot of "I'm not sure about that let me check answers." Still waiting for a "compisination for the waste of time i spent." Not holding my breath after dealing with them. It's a wonder how they stay functional. Huge waste of time, will never use them or refer them to anyone. Cheers!
Carvana promises to do a thorough safety inspection. Then they sell me a car which in the first 50 miles is shown to be MISSING A BOLT TYING THE REAR AXEL to the Wheel, which was then wobbling and indanger of falling off. Some safety inspection. Rather like going to a doctor who counts your fingers and pronounces 'you have 10, you are in perfect health'.
Then Carvana argued about paying for the repair
ON APRIL 15.2022 I FOUND A 2014 CORVETTE Z51 CONVEERTIBLE FOR SALE FOR $52,900, iN ORDER TO HOLD THE CAR, they required a $100 deposit... So i put it on my charge and they would notify me when the car was prepped and put through the 150 part inspection process. Today 4/23/2022 they emailed me and mentioned i have to fill in the PPLICATION AND BANK INFORMATION WHICH I DID. I also agreed to use their financing and put $5k down deposit. And finance the rest... everthing was approved until i got a call from some validation dept. to verify my 75k income... I told him im retired and that most of my income was from THE STOCK MARKET AND IRA ACCOUNTS... Oh we dont accept passive stock market income. Are u kidding me? I told him i recently bought a 35k Kia GT K5 and paid it off in 5 months. Payment was 575 month... NOTHING WAS GOOD ENOUGH FOR CARVANA. After hours of Frustrating myself i told the rep to F himself and cancel the deal... Wow what a Nightmare
I needed a bigger car for my family and I thought why not? I now know why not and I haven't even recieved the car yet. They need everything that you scan in to be done a certain way and you may have to upload it multiple times. The process took longer to begin with because they wanted more money anyway. I had one lady call me at work and I told her that I was busy and I didn't have much time and was oh so short with me. They ended up giving me the car for what was agreed upon two days later. I am frustrated with the high cost of this car and then the customer service was great despite a few bad seeds. Then I have everything with me on the day of delivery, but no one can deliver it to me later and I couldnt reschedule it sooner. I am a mom of three and I need the space and now with everything I'm doubting the purchase.
I bought my car on 3/31/22 and the first day I noticed the car would hesitate to start(push to start) I called Carvana and spoke with them about the issue. I was within my 7 day time frame and they set up an appointment with a car repair shop Meineke( a joke of a repair shop) they changed an old battery and tune up days apart. Well the problem was never resolved. Meineke tells me to drive it for a week with the car like that to see if it corrects itself. Hell no I caller carvana back and informed them of the persistent problem. They schedule another appointment with another repair shop( out of my 7 day time frame at this point). This repair shop tells me your engine is going out. Like wtf I am paying 23k for a car and the freaking engine is going out. Thank God I didn't continue to drive my car for a week like the guy said at Meineke. Well the car is under factory warranty so I had to call a Dodge Dealer and they gave me an appointment two weeks out. My car note is due and I asked to trade the car in for another one. Well got a call today from Mike a sup when I was supposed to be talking to a sup a week ago. Was told I can't get another car unless Dodge says its unrepairable. Like wtf I'm over Carvana I thought this was a good deal and it is a sham.
Just withdrew appl to purchase a 2nd car. They kept changing what income docs were required. Wouldn't accept bank stmts bcuz they are joint accts but they don't do co-sign loans. Self employed, you're screwed. I asked if they wanted my firstborn as collateral and hung up. I'm done with Carvana. They suck!
Everything was great until I got a parking ticket a year later of selling the car to Carvana. I know you have to to the release of liability with DMV, but the guy that picked up the car said all I need to sign was the Vehicle Purchase Agreement and they will take care of the rest. Fast forward now I'm dealing with this ticket and the Vehicle Purchase Agreement is not valid enough to dismiss the ticket and I don't know why. Just an FYI if you sell Carvana a car do the Release Of Liability through DMV
Choosing the car online was easy but that's the only part that wasn't a huge issue. Delivery was rescheduled/delayed twice so I had to rearrange my schedule and pay for rental cars for almost 3 weeks after I was supposed to have my car. The car arrived in Pennsylvania in the dead of winter with water in the windshield washer fluid tank so of course it immediatly froze. This meant that I had no use of the washer fluid. Lots of wasted time figuring out what was wrong (trip to the store to get fluid just to find out that it was water/frozen, then to the mechanic to have it thawed, the plastic tank checked to make sure it wasn't cracked from freezing and then refilled). After this the paperwork fiascos started. When the car arrived I signed all of the release paperwork and power of attorney paperwork for the registration. Then I was notified that these papers were missing. They sent them to me via fedex, I had to then run around getting them notarized, finding a fedex drop off and returning them. Then they contacted me that more paperwork was missing when I had literally signed and returned every piece of paper in the envelope, the representative was unsure how to fix the problem and it took another week and 3 more phone calls to get someone who could resend the paperwork which required another round of taking off work to get things notarized and to the fedex drop box. Finally almost 90 days after my purchase my registration arrived and they had changed my address on my registration and drivers license to an address that is incorrect. When I called to inform them of this they told me that I would need to take off of work yet again to now go to the DMV to fix their mistake.
Listen my fellow car shoppers do not I repeat do not purchase a car from this company. I understand that people be in difficult situations at times bc that's what brought me to CARVANA but if u can please take a different route. I purchase my car January 29 2022. And I'm already out 2 grand bc the company lied about inspections. My car tires was literally falling off and if an inspection was done this problem would have been caught. They realize there is a problem then tell u ooo I'm so sorry yo warranty has expired. Wooo how convenient. It's a total scam and people lives are being destroyed fooling with this online car dealership. Take it from me find another option pleassseeee! Attached is the first five hundred dollar payment. I'm making payments on the car and on the repairs for the car. This a nightmare.
My delivery was delayed, which caused issues because I had to switch my insurance back to the car I was trading in and had to make another car payment on the car I was trading in. Then once receiving the car, it had significant amount of damage even though the sell listing only noted one minor scratch. Despite the 7 day guarantee, they are refusing to complete all the repairs. They state because the advocate I spoke to didn't put in any notes and now its past the 7 days so they wont do anything. So, I try to go through SilverRock. None of the repair facilities they recommend as in network will even do business with them. One actually laughed at me and said they know better than to send business to them. So I call Carvana back to again express my disappointment. They tell me they will pay for all the repairs including reimburse me for an interior cleaning since there are dark, greasy handprints all over my white headliner. The guy says he just has to file an exception and will call me by 9am next morning to confirm details. 3pm, I haven't heard anything, so I call them and again I get the "well he didn't leave any notes and there's nothing we can do since its past the 7 days". They will constantly promise you the world and say they will make you happy, then turn around and say "we never told you that, there's no notes". They sell cars in "great condition" but once it arrives, the car is actually in horrible condition. Total scam. Says my car has never been in an accident but the repair shop helping me says it clearly has been and been repaired poorly. I should have rejected the car at delivery but they promised to make things right and I trusted them. Now I'm stuck paying thousands of dollars out of pocket to make repairs because Carvana is a scam.
Carvana delayed pickup on my first order by 1 month due to car vending machine breakdown, then we find another car to be picked up at another location and they delay that pickup by 3 days after agreeing to a previous date, we needed a car so we took our business to another car dealer, they are very unreliable, beware.
Carvana was very helpful finding an affordable car for me. I wanted a van. The representative I spoke with was kind and informative. They worked hard to keep me in the loop. They quickly found the car I needed. We get down to discussing price and the rep says "just let us know your down payment, for example, you can put $500 down and drive away!" I told her that sounds great and all but I don't want to be tied to this for years. I'm willing to put down at least $3000 today and then pay the car off as quickly as possible...
Haven't heard a word from them since. I guess they only want customers they can string along and milk for years . Thier loss.
I thought carvana was a unique way to get a car and it was but once I got my car and I had it for 3 weeks there was no problem until few days ago where in the middle of the night they towed my car because of an error on their system. So I called them the next day. Saying I missed a payment but I barley had it and the error was that they didn't take my down payment but I knew something wasn't right because the took the down payment and I told them and they sounded like I can get my car back. But I kept calling them and they keep saying it was to late and nothing else I can do and they backed out of the loan. So it wasn't great experience.
Answer: "Customer Service"? There is no customer service. It's just email runaround and they sell the car out from under you without even telling you. And... they keep your deposit. It's more like customer DIS-service
Answer: Don't buy from them. The are just like used car salespeople. No difference! Rip-off!
Answer: I had the most amazing time buying a car through Carvana; I got a loan quikly, got my car in a couple weeks and the car is an awesome car; its all registered for me and I just got it inspected, passed no problem. My car only had 42,000 miles on it and rarley was driven. YES get a car from Carvana they are so great! My payments are super low too.
