I purchased the vehicle on May 13,2022. When it arrived, the car was nice. The delivery driver had the car off the truck and already started when i made it to him. I test drove the car and noticed that it drove nice. On my way home i stopped at a gas station, cut the car off and went in, came out and got in the car, started it up and immediately, a message pops up indicating that the car was in need of the A5 Service, and it was overdue by 20,900 miles. How the hell did they perform a 150-point inspection and didn't change the oil and other things outlined in the Service manual?
Long story short, i was told to take it to a "preferred" shop to get a diagnostic performed and the warranty company would pay for it. The people at the shop told me that they would have to keep the car until the warranty company, Silver Rock pays for the repairs. I had 2 days left on my 7 day trial. I contacted silver rock and a rep told me that it was going to be 24-48 before they could look at the diagnostic and approve it. Then there will be another 24-48 hours for them to pay for "APPROVED REPAIRS". I called Carvana to see if they could assist... NOPE! I asked to return the car for another. A week later, I had to drive 70 miles to meet the delivery driver. I inspected the car inside and out, once i popped the hood, i noticed the air flow hose was not connected and would not snap together so now i have to reject the vehicle and drive the 1st car back home adding miles to the car.
I've been back and forth with Carvana on the issue with this car since picking it up. I actually told them that if they agreed to pay for the diagnostic and any repairs needed that i would keep the car. They declined. A5 Service is regular maintenance which is about $350 plus a $100 Diagnostic charge. I'm not buying a vehicle that needs to be serviced. I will be taking the car in for the diagnostic at their "PREFERRED SHOP" if the repairs are not approved, CARVANA YOUR CAR WILL BE AT THE SHOP AWAITING YOUR PICKUP! OH AND LIKE YOU TOLD ME... CONTACT SILVER ROCK FOR THE PAYMENT FOR THE REPAIRS! I WILL NOT BE TAKING IT HOME WITH ME
I purchased a car from Carvana with a delivery date of Thursday 5/26. They pushed the date back to Monday 5/30. I just received a notification that they are pushing the date back again to 6/7. Almost 2 weeks after the original date given. I've asked for a loaner car or a reimbursement for a rental car and they refuse to do anything for me. This is the worst car buying experience I've had and I want to tell everyone never to buy from Carvana. I'm going to have to borrow someone's car for at least another week. Who knows if they will push that date back again.
I purchased a Toyota Yaris 2014 on carvana website by around $*******. The delivery was delayed for two weeks for " unexpected transportation issue", then another two weeks for "bump issue" which they just found on the delivery day. I have to wait for one month after my original contract delivery date. My work and life schedule are massed up including financial loss because of this. The reimbursement they offered is $250, which is ridiculously low and absolutely not fair. It even can't cover my car rent. They also asked me to re-sign contract twice which changed original delivery date, so they won't need to pay anything for their contract breaking. When I discussed with them, they insist the $250 is the highest amount they can offer. They also suggested me to change another vehicle. But they can't guarantee anything. We all know that the car price is raising now. They just don't want to pay anything but keep the car for a higher price. This is not only contract breaking, it's like a fraud.
So l bought a car, the price was a little high, but it was low mileage and very clean. According to them it only had 3 small chips. Picked up the car on a cloudy day, did a walk around, seemed pretty clean in the low light. Drove home, the sun came out, and lo and behold, found 2 dents in the door, multiple dings in the chrome liners around the windows(5), and a 1 inch scrape nearly to the metal, none of which were shown or reported in their picture on the website. Took it to my mechanic who said it was mechanically a good car, but it had had bodywork and a paintjob, on a 5 year old car. As most of the unreported dings and dents were pretty minor, l decided to keep the car. Received registration paperwork within 1 week of my 3 day grace period, but not the check for sales tax in my state. Was told it would arrive in 3 days. 3 days later, nothing. I called, they admitted the error was in their end and promised to overnight it. 4 days later, l still haven't received it. Called, and asked where it was, they tried blaming the post office. I asked for the tracking numbers, but they said they didn't have them(pure BS, nothing is overnighted without a tracking number.) Asked to speak with the department that sent it, was told they didn't do customer service, so l couldn't talk with them. Absolutely the WORST customer service l have had from a car dealership. Between the covering up of flaws and the customer service, l will never do business with them again.
Bought a 2014 Volkswagen from them, advertised with back up camera… got the car no back up camera told me that it didn't come with a back up camera even tho advertisements for the car said there was one? I financed the registration fees, then they told me I had to pay the registration fees and then they will refund me? What if I didn't have the money to do that, I'd be out of luck! Then the car failed inspection! Because of the brakes carvana told me to call the warranty company. That is general maintenance, which warranty companies don't cover! Told them that they told me sorry your out of luck. Please for the love that is all holy DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THEM!
I ordered a vehicle from Carvana. We had a 7 day test drive and notice a few things that needed to be fixed. Per Carvana these things should have been taken care of before the car was listed for sale. They were not... It took over 7 days to get the car in to the shop to be fixed, even with the warranty I still had to pay out of pocket for issues that Carvana said were taken care of... 80% of the time since I bought the car it has been in the shop to fixed the electrical issues. Then I received an email and text stating that my title and registration were in the mail. 2 weeks before my temp tags expire I find out from the DMV in Jeff City that Carvana did not file paperwork or pay for my registration that was rolled into my loan and now Carvana is saying that it is my responsibility not theirs. They are sorry for multiple times that they have given me misinformation...
DO NOT BUY! More problems than ever. Costs way more money than it should have as well.
NOT HAD TO GIVE 5 stars because that's how many times I banged my head on the wall and saw stars! I Don't Care what your situation is it will be even worse if you trust carvana RUN AWAY RUN FAR AWAY
Run Forrest run
I bought a car off carvana in December after someone wrecked into me and totaled my car. Thought the whole process was easy but not happy about the high interest rates and was skeptical without driving the car. The car wasn't my first choice. The original car I wanted was pending sale, another car I wanted hadn't arrived yet but they make you pick one and then you can return it in 7 days or 1,000 miles if you don't like it.
The day the car arrived I wasn't impressed. It was basic and not much to it. They let me drive it re ad l quick before leaving but I noticed one of the lights was on which I informed them of but they said it would turn off. I couple days went by and the check oil light came on so I took it to get looked at. On my way several lights came on so informed them at the shop. I was told it needed an oil change and then told it needed brakes abs possibly more but the codes were dealer specific and carvana said it needed to go to a dealer. The closest dealer that could look at it within the week was 30 miles away and carvana didn't give me a rental or anything so I needed to have someone follow me and take me back when it was done a few days later.
I inquired about the other car I was interested in that wasn't available yet and was told it would be available soon and I would get a call back the following day. The next day no call back so I called again. Long story short by the time they told me the car wouldn't be available until the following week it was too late to exchange cars.
My car had nothing but problems from day one and I was told that because of the car shortage places like carvana were doing the inspections so quick just to make a quick sale and overlooking the problems.
Worst mistake I ever made was getting a car here.
Eventually I wrecked and totaled the car after only two months because the abs was not working as it should and I couldn't stop on time before I wrecked into someone
I was all set to buy the car but they screwed me over, their high pressure sales system set the date. Then I noticed I had a doctor's appointment on that day. So I had to move that to be here for the car and lost a work shift now that they screwed me over. Then they say they can't deliver on the 25. They said it was because Underwriting did not feel like holding with the bank to verify the draft.
The agents are stupid too. One girl called me and said she didn't understand the insurance. Yes because my insurance is renewed and expires the next day which is why Progressive sent you 2 cards one for the date I was supposed to get the car and another for the next 6 months.
Then their lowball offer tried to nickel and dime me on the trade in,. Saying if they find something else wrong that they will deduct it.
Then they have high pressure clocks to try to fool you into renewing the offer when they can't deliver on the promised date, Fool me once shame on you. I won't let you fool me again.
It basically an app with customer service people who can't do anything to help you, it's not designed that way,. No one cares.
Oh and at the end when I told them to cancel the deal if they can't get it here by the 25th and the chat person said oh you can renew the offer and I can see if I can get back that date.
No way to do this you can't renew the offer without selecting a different date after mine, oh but they did anyway.
I finally had to cancel the entire order and ordeal.
So tell them if the car is not there by the promised date they don't' want your business and move on.
They are worse than a new car dealer or used car dealer because they lie and don't care and want you to care and still want the car after they screw you over.
I'm just lucky after reading all the horror stories here that they didn't say sure it will be there on the 25th.
Don't give them a chance to fool you more than once. Spend your money somewhere else.
I HATE dealing with dealers and thought this would be a relatively pain free experience. It seemed organized and going well. I secured a loan through my credit union, secured insurance, sold our second car a day before the new car was scheduled to arrive, and had things ready to go. Right after the car sold I received a text about a delay- 3 days. Rearranged transportation and thought it is just a couple of days, that's ok. Two days later, another text, now delayed another 7 days. Reached out and listened to them apologize, blah blah blah. They didn't anticipate anymore delays. Just got another text it will be another 6 day delay. My loan has now expired. I need to contact insurance company because I have paid for insurance on a car I do not own. I am scrambling to find another car. SO mad at myself for trusting this company,
Will NEVER ever recommend this company again. It seems like a good idea. Buy your car online. It was ideal since I knew exactly what I wanted. The problems developed once we started approaching the date my Temporary Tags from theme were set to expire. Oh Good news, they emailed me and said it was complete and that the DMV was sending to me. In fact, I should be ready to sign for delivery in 7-10 business days. That was last month. I've called, emailed, texted, even posted on social medial and gotten ZERO resolution. Each time you call a person will start from the beginning and explain the same story. The plates are in the mail.
Fast forward. I've now learned that the State of Illinois has suspended their license for this exact reason. I still have no resolution. I even called today and asked to speak to a Manager or Executive in charge. They refused. Really? Who is RUNNING this company? Don't do it! Don't buy from them. You'll never get your plates and you'll be driving on expired tags.
Horrible! I will NEVER do business with Carvana again!
My car was delivered as promised, but once I started inspecting the car I noticed it has more damage then it was listed on the actual site and description of the car.
The delivery person said to take pictures and send it to him and he would take those and send them into Carvana/silver rock.
Fast forward to a few weeks later, I took my car to the body shop to get fixed since it was approved for it.
The body shop then tells me that silver rock and Carvana only approved one scratch! 1! Out of 13 pictures and damages they only approved one scratch.
When I called Carvana to find out what had happened the agent told me that Carvana and silver rock determined that the damage they will cover was only 1 scratch and the rest "meets their standard" for a used car. I told the woman that it's not fair to deliver a car that you didn't disclose the damages of. I asked her if she knew that Carvana didn't disclose the damages, she said yes that is correct but that Carvana would still not honor their promise to fix it.
I asked their legal team information and she gave me that, a few hours later she called back and profusely apologized and swore up and down that she would get it taken care of herself, apologized in the way I was treated and that she understands how frustrating it must be.
She really played her part in that one, it's been a week. I haven't heard anything from silver rock or Carvana so I decided to check in and to my surprise the woman that was "helping" me is no longer available to help and the person who I was on the phone with all of a sudden turned into "management team" and said sorry but we aren't going to approve that because of standards.
This company is literally the worst company I have ever dealt with.
They do not care about customers at all.
If I could give them no stars, they'd have it!
From lack of communication to changing delivery without cause; they are UNBELIEVABLE! I could get more detailed, but im not waiting my energy on this substandard company! NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!
Worst customer service ever. If there is a problem they want you to fix it and they'll reimburse you. They have such a bad reputation dealerships won't deal with their warranty department!
The first car I got was a lemon, and missed 2 delivery days. I purchased another car and the delivery date was extended 2 weeks no called me I took of work, and change my insurance to the new car. So that's 3 misses delivery dates total. I will make sure to let everyone I know about this. This is horrible. You guys cost me $4,000 in rental fees. This is Ridiculous. I want to talk to the highest manager possible
I found the perfect vehicle for my budget, purchased it and happily waited for delivery. In the meantime I sold my existing car to a family friend and then the Carvana delays started. The original delivery was scheduled for May 3rd, then I received a robo call and email regarding a delay, and was told to expect car May 7th, on May 6th I got another delay robo call/ email and was given a new date of May 11th, then on May 10th, robo call/ delay message with new date of May 11th. Its finally May 11th and now I have yet another message regarding a delay with a new date of May 24th. In the meantime I no longer have my car, paid for insurance for the new car and realize there is no car. They want me to pick a different car.
I attempted to purchase vehicles from CARVANA twice - once on December 2021 and the 2nd attempt was on April 2022. On both attempts I had a bad experience with CARVANA. I posted a video detailing by bad experiences with CARVANA here: https://youtu.be/5EBB_CujmtY
I want to start off by saying that the reviews on the Carvana site itself are misleading because if you return your car, which I did, you do not get to post your feedback. So individuals with poor experiences that result in returning the car aren't represented.
Not to be redundant, I did return the car I purchased via Carvana 48 hours after it arrived. The exterior condition was far worse than had been described, the interior smelled awful (as if there had been some sort of water damage), the windshield had a crack, one of the key fobs did not work and the brakes made noise. The interior was filthy to the point where the buttons were unreadable. All issues that were obviously not disclosed as part of the "150 point inspection"...
I took the car to my mechanic to inspect who informed me that I would immediately need $1,000 worth of brake work in addition to "sooner rather than later" new tires.
I attempted to contact Carvana to express my concerns and was promptly put on hold for so long, I had to hang up. Only when I gave up and said I wanted to return the car did I get somewhat prompt customer service.
To their credit, they did come and take the car back, posting it back for sale immediately. Since I had "favored" the car when I was looking, I've been alerted to the fact that it has been sold and again returned in the 4 weeks since I had it.
Approximately 3 months ago. I bought a car from caravan. Oh it's easy to buy a car from this website. Unfortunately after 3 months the timing belt broke and to get it repaired was an absolute nightmare. Not worth the BS. Unbelievable do not purchase a caravan car it's a scam.
Answer: "Customer Service"? There is no customer service. It's just email runaround and they sell the car out from under you without even telling you. And... they keep your deposit. It's more like customer DIS-service
Answer: Don't buy from them. The are just like used car salespeople. No difference! Rip-off!
Answer: I had the most amazing time buying a car through Carvana; I got a loan quikly, got my car in a couple weeks and the car is an awesome car; its all registered for me and I just got it inspected, passed no problem. My car only had 42,000 miles on it and rarley was driven. YES get a car from Carvana they are so great! My payments are super low too.
