The initial appraisal of my vehicle was fair I also received an email with the appraisal value of my trade. So I was going complete a purchase but decided to do financing through Carvana and was approved. Chose a vehicle within three days when I was about to finalize my purchase. I've then found out carvana changed my appraisal to $3000 less when I inquired about it, the reply was sorry, but we appraise vehicles day by day and the market changes. I replied the email I received said my appraisal value was good for 10 days. There was no reply back. Needless to say I did not go through with the purchase, and I will be telling everyone that I know of and post where I can. Not to purchase through Carvana. Or do not get financing through them because they want you to spend more through financing because they know what you are approved for by giving you less value for your vehicle. I believe it's a total screwup on their part being a dealership. Wondering how many people they did this to and the people didn't realize.
Carvana is the biggest mistake of my life. The first vehicle we picked out they kept changing the delivery date on us and said it was transportation issues. We finally got a delivery date and drove 2 hours to pick it up just to find out it had mechanical issues and still was not ready. They could not give us an ETA of when the repairs would be completed. We picked out a new vehicle and on the 11th day of having it, it broke down. By day 15 it has broke down 3 times and they refuse to do anything about it, they want to simply have someone look at it and see if it's repairable. It's already proven to be an undependabal vehicle. Not only that but after taking a closer look at the contract, the original $18,000 car will cost me over $40,000 by the time I pay it off because of hidden interest fees. The kelly blue book value the vehicle at $15,000. Now I have negative equity in it and I can't do nothing without jeopardizing my credit. THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS!
While driving on the highway, all of my crash, emergency lights turned on, that caused the car to go into coast mode. Nothing like coast mode on the highway when already doing about 70. I called Carvana informed them that there was a problem with the car and that they sold me a car that was in an accident. They stated that since it was past seven days, there's nothing they can do and I was up for me to deal with with the extended warranty. Carvana has no care in the world about customer safety. I will never buy another car from the.
I bought and paid off a car in April of 2022, still have not received the title. They 1st said they didn't have it, then later admitted they did have it and now say I should get pay to get a duplicate title. However I can't without a lien release which they say they can't provide
Because I do not like buying cars I thought I would buy into the Caravan hype of simplicity - getting lured into their sales pitch of simple, online hassle free car buying. This, however, is the opposite of reality. Found a car online, went through the process to purchase and the web pages froze up multiple times, but finally made it through after several chat sessions. Chose my pick up date and arranged to buy using cash. I promptly received a phone call saying I had to upload insurance ASAP, which I did. The agent said I was good to go to pick up car the next day. 5 min. Late a new email - this time saying I was "past the deadline for documents" and it would have to be re-scheduled. Over an hour later and numerous agents and I was finally told it would be ready in 3 weeks "due to unknown factors". The clearly inexperienced agent could have cared less - she said "well looks like a glitch" and good luck. Cancelled my order and will NEVER even think about buying a car from them again.
Carvana made me an offer on my car today. Unfortunately, the offer was over 10k below book value and 7k under the trade in value anywhere else. I would not do business with these scam artists on my bleakest day.
Terrible customer service that will leave you with a lemon that will be passed around from repair place to replace place with no way to return if you find the transmission issues after the terribly short 7 day window. Avoid at all costs.
I purchased a 2012 BMW 750i xdrive from Carvana in April 2022.
The vehicle had less than 70,000 miles on it. At 70,528 miles I had to have it towed to the local BMW dealer where they found this vehicle had major problems that existed when the car was sold to me but did not show any signs at the time. I am looking at a $13,000.00 repair bill due to major engine, Driveshaft universal joint, Radiator Temp Sensor leakage and more. Link to estimate below
**Stay Away From Carvana. They are not trustworthy

DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY. I BOUGHT A TRUCK FROM THEM FOR MY BUSINESS, THEY ADVERTISED THE CAR AS FOUR WHEEL DRIVE. WHEN I GOT IT I REALIZED THEY LIED AND IT WAS 2 WHEEL DRIVE. AFTER PROMISING THEY WOULD SWITCH IT OUT THEY HAVE NOT RETURNED ANY OF MY CALLS. GRETCHEN ACTED NICE LIKE SHE WAS GOING TO HELP ME AND THEN COMPLETELY STOPPED RETURNING OR ANSWERING ALL OF MY PHONE CALLS. I HAVE NOW HAD TO RESORT TO SUING CARVANA. THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST COMPANY IN AMERICA, AND IT SHOWS FROM THEIR STOCK EVALUATION. THIS COMPANY WILL BE BANKRUPT SHORTLY, PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND NEVER USE THEM.
I bought 2012 Audi Q5 with 90,000 miles for $21,000 and after just 9 months the timing chain broke and destroyed the engine. I just found out there was a class action lawsuit for the timing belt, but was told the warranty just expired. Carvana would not try and help me get another vehicle and just said to bad. When you buy a vehicle for $21,000 you think it's top condition. I rely on my vehicle to get to work. How do they think I can make payments and if I can't get to work. I can't even buy another vehicle because I still owe $18,000 on it. Carvana should be ashamed.
I chose to take a chance on Carvana, because I really hate the car buying experience through a dealership. The haggling, back and forth, tug-of-war process at a dealership is exhausting and frustrating. The 2 great things about Carvana is one, the price you see is the price you pay plus registration. The second great thing is that Carvana has exceptional customer service over the phone. They really are helpful and seem to genuinely care about your experience. Now to the bad. There seems to be a lot of moving parts when it comes to buying a car 100% online. It took over one month for my car to be delivered to me when they usually advertise that it takes a couple of days from when you choose. My original delivery date was changed without any concrete explanation given. Had it not been for the fact that I really liked the car that I chose, I would have backed out right then and there. When the car did arrive, it had noticeable scratches that were not shown or disclosed in the photos that I chose from when I picked the car and it was another tug of war, trying to get Carvana's insurance company, SilveRock to fix and repair the scratches. The car also had mechanical issues related to its central computer. I was fortunate that the previous owner of the car purchased the car from an authorized dealer which extended its new car warranty. But again, I had to battle with silver rock in order to allow the dealer to diagnose the issue. With all of that said, my overall experience with buying the car from Carvana was a good one only because I really, really like my car. I would advise anyone in the used car market to only go with Carvana or any online car seller if you don't like buying a car from a dealer. If you can maneuver through the back-and-forth struggle with a dealership, then stick with buying your cars from a dealer. I definitely will consider Carvana when I have to buy another used car in the future.
We purchase two vehicles
GMC Arcadia and a Dodge journey
I'm guessing around coming up on 2 yrs since purchasing. GMC already had a brand new Transmission replacement. Carvana did right by replacing only because we fell in time frame of warranty. That was pretty good but, you still have to be aware that they're still a business. Now on the other hand with the Dodge Journey, I seen little patch up work here in there I see a new paint job was done with drips on it right now. I spent $1800 for them to replace the radiator two thermostats two times and the housing of the thermostat, I thought after the repair we was good but it still ended up overheating which was the cause in the first place right now I'm still waiting two weeks already had a GMC Dodge dealer my car still at after repair in spending 1800 call been in there for two weeks already and still they do not know the problem I thought a car van was a honest business but they proved me wrong. I'm still waiting on the diagnostics for my car and the outrageous price they're going to charge me for the repair it's a 2019 dodge journey just beware, the pick up and dropping off in the easy purchase is good but all that irrelevant if the car don't work and you're still paying thousands of dollars for almost a brand new car 3+ year old car we already spent over two grand on repairs and still waiting for the results of whatever else is wrong with the car right now Just beware buyers. … I would've added with physical visual proof, but the paperwork is with the car in the shop still…
As a cash buyer I thought it would be easy and convenient to purchase a Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude from Carvana. I couldn't have been more wrong. I selected a vehicle, paid cash for it, got it home and put the VIN into an app that tells you the facts about the car. I discovered that they misrepresented the vehicle on their website as "AWD" and in fact it was a "2 wheel drive". I called right away and that's when the run around began. They don't assign you a customer service rep, instead they make you call in each time and wait on hold and no one ever takes accountability to help you. Finally after a couple of days, I spoke with Josh. He seemed genuine in wanting to assist me and we talked for 15 minutes while waiting for a supervisor. He then says "hey, I'll call you right back as soon as I connect with my boss". I said OK and I never heard from him again. It took them less than 24 hours to take my cash from my account, however; they took 5 business days to put the money back.
I don't foresee this company being in business this time next year. I ended up going to Sands Kia and buying the Jeep Grand Cherokee I wanted with AWD for an excellent price. They made the experience great - it was fast and easy.
Purchased a car. The delivery was delayed 3 times. A tree fell on the car about a month after I purchased it. They took about a month to come get it. Carvana did nothing to help. Still had tocontunue to make payments on a totaled car. Was told I'd be reimbursed, still haven't seen the money.
I recently lost my voice and it is recovering. I ordered a car from Carvana and they wanted me to give them a call. When I called, the lady asked for my social, my phone number, my address, and date of birth. I gave her all the information, then she refused to work with me just because she says my voice sounds like a women. I asked her what other verification does she need so I can show her that I'm the buyer. She says she can't disclose any information then puts me on hold multiple times for over 30 minutes. I told her my voice is recovering so I can't talk too long and asked if she could help me or not. She keeps putting me on hold saying let her check. I even gave her my driver license. I never seen a customer service discriminate over my voice and refuse to work with me.
Carvana is the utmost worst so-called dealership I have done business with. My vehicle was delivered to my home 3 weeks ago with faulty breaks and missing break parts. The mechanic diagnosed the issue, and carvana will not cover it, stating I have driven the vehicle over the coverage limit. They are some type of demons that would allow a vehicle to be delivered to someones home in that condition and not want to fix it. Please beware of the carvana certified BS. How can a car be carvana certified and make it out of the shop in this condition. Then, when I called customer service. The OFFICE LEADER blamed me. Stating it was my fault, I should have called sooner. Wow...such a leader! I hope they are paying her enough to sell that small soul she has. What a grinch! It was the Christmas Holiday and some of us were out of town spending time with family. Beware of Carvana if you do decide to do business with this Trash of a company. Make sure you take that vehicle to your local mechanic asap. You don't want to be blamed for them delivering a car to your doorstep that could potentially kill you. Signed pissed as hell because I have to pay for someone else's screw up. I wish I could upload this report and pricing for a repair on a vehicle I only drive to work and has been in my possession for only 3 weeks. Ugh... so disappointing that theses big companies are allowed to treat people this way.
I jumped through hoops to get them everything they needed just to be told 5 minutes before delivery. It will not be delivered on Thursday before Xmas as needed but two days after Xmas. Rude as heck. Will never use service again!
Went through the process to trade my car in, picked a car, signed my contracts, and had a delivery date scheduled. 24 hours before delivery, they sent me an email that said, "sorry, we can't sell you this car. We'll call you in 24 hours to explain why."
I called them immediately, and got my call escalated to a rep. He told me that they didn't have the car. Wait… the pictures show Carvana plates on the car, and there was a so called 150 point inspection. How do you do that without having the car?
I'm staying very far away from this business. My BS meter is pinging like mad. I had switched my car after this, but I cancelled that too and just went to a dealership. 12 hours later, I had a charger hellcat and Carvana is disappearing very quickly in the rear view mirror.
Bought a 2016 Jaguar XJ - a car I had been wanting for years. Finally was able to get a used one with 55k miles. Little did I know that what I was buying from Carvana was a piece of junk. Came with bad brakes and out of balance wheels- this was fixed through the warranty. Then after ninety days, yes days, things really started going downhill. Transmission locked up a couple times, a part of the seat back started coming loose, and then the big problem at day 98. The car had a coolant leak which caused the engine to overheat and blow out. 15k at least to fix but because I couldn't get it to someone who could fix it till day 105 nothing was covered. I feel robbed and cheated and i am getting stonewalled by both Carvana and Silver Rock. Carvana doesn't care about their customers or stand behind their product. Run away!
I know people mostly write reviews when things go wrong, but I will write my positive review. From start to finish, this has been by far the best car buying experience I have ever had. Purchasing my vehicle was super easy and fast. Bought it on a Monday and it was scheduled to be delivered that same week on Friday. The delivery was great-on time, and the driver was wonderful and professional. The car only had one very minor issue that really wasn't an issue-a hubcap was missing. The associate-Matthew-was amazing and bought a set before delivering my car. My car is fantastic, I love it! I did have it looked at, and it was given a great report. My registration tags and license plate arrived today, in just over 30 days. I know that there can be issues with any used car purchase, but I am very pleased with my overall experience.
Answer: "Customer Service"? There is no customer service. It's just email runaround and they sell the car out from under you without even telling you. And... they keep your deposit. It's more like customer DIS-service
Answer: Don't buy from them. The are just like used car salespeople. No difference! Rip-off!
Answer: I had the most amazing time buying a car through Carvana; I got a loan quikly, got my car in a couple weeks and the car is an awesome car; its all registered for me and I just got it inspected, passed no problem. My car only had 42,000 miles on it and rarley was driven. YES get a car from Carvana they are so great! My payments are super low too.
