Ordered online. Items missing. Called waited on hold. Told two weeks to ship missing items. 3 weeks later never arrived. Called over 10 minute wait time asked for call back and hold place in line. An hour later callback told they were not reordered. You have to call 5 days after getting your shipment to correct their error apparently and because I called the day of it was not reordered? Really then the call center can't handle the volume of calls Carter's is creating the problems for itself. I was told the pants would be shipped the first time I called because if their error 10 because they were not in stock. Clearly no one knows what is going on. You are dealing with sleep deprived, injured, time pressed individuals that thought online shopping would work because we don't have time to sift through the store. Wow Carters get your s@$* together.
From my first experience, I really try to avoid ordering from the website, but the store near us doesn't have a good selection. I've seen pretty much the same clothes, specifically, sleepers since several months ago. My daughter had a baby in October, and every time we go in there... the same sleepers. So I ordered this dress and tight set. The order was placed, according to them, on 11/22/19. On 11/26/19, there is no update. I order frequently online, and so far, this place takes the longest. My daughter likes this place, but I don't know why. I think the clothes are overly priced and the coupons are only good if you're buying the high priced clothing. It can't be used on blockbusters. It shouldn't matter. When you go in a grocery store, they don't say you can't use a coupon on sale items. I miss Babies R Us. It is so hard these days to find a variety of baby clothing in a STORE.
Spent $150 and did ship to store. Waited 2 weeks and heard nothing. Called n they couldnt find the order even though it said it was delivered to the store. Customer service couldn't give a crap at all, no apologies. NEVER again.
I ordered over 130.00$ on the Carters website and paid with Paypal. After putting my daughter's address in, the website grabbed my billing address from Paypal instead of her address. I called Customer Service and their phone system had a pre recorded message saying they were having difficulties, try back later. In the meantime, I got on chat and told the problem again. For good measure, I e-mailed. After waiting I called back and was told there was nothing I could do because the time limit was up. Now I can pay again and ship to her address as long as I pay differently. This is their address/website problem.
My mom and I went in to pick up an order for my sister in law. They were having trouble locating the item... finally found it. I looked around for an outfit for my nephew. When I went to the register to buy, the girl who worked there asked for my phone #, which I gave her. She told me she couldn't find me and asked for my phone # again. I told her I had never shopped there before, so I'm not in their system. She said "Ok, but can I have your phone #." Then my mom said "She has never shopped here, so she won't be in your system." The girl then told my mom to stop being rude to her! My mom told her she wasn't being rude, she was just explaining to her. Then the other women working, who I assume is a manager or something said to my mom "You did raise your voice, ma'am" and then took over for the girl & explained that the phone number was for rewards. First of all, not only did the girl not explain why she needed my phone number, but then her customer service was horrible! Who calls or says a customer is being "rude?." Never shopping there again! This was in the West Des Moines location.
I am absolutely furious with Carter's online! I ordered an item for in store pickup. I paid for said item. We live 30 minutes from the store. My husband went to pick up the item and was informed it had been shipped back because it was not picked up within 14 days. No where in any pick-up email was it stated that my item was to be picked up within 14 days. Worse yet they didn't automatically refund my purchase. I had to call customer service, and my item is now sold out. Meaning they sold an item that had been bought and paid for and had no intention of refunding me!
Carters customer service do not exist. I have been calling days at a time about a refund and i swear there have been no answers. I have not spoken to one person since October 18th, and its now November 11th. I am now starting to screen shot my wait time every time i call now. I will not stay on longer than 45 mins before hanging up. The same recording comes on thanking me for my patience and that one of their representative will be with me shortly. Well i am taking all of these screen shots and posting to social media so Carters can wake up! You take my money, but take you forever to return it when you have already received the merchandise!
Carter's lost my order and never told me. Their process is to wait until I call them. In the meantime I was waiting for a coat my my toddler that never came!
Horrible customer service.
I placed an order with Carters about a year ago and returned a couple items. That return went so badly a corporate employee called me and apologized. I was given a gift card for the nightmare I endured. I never placed another order until 2 months ago when I finally wanted to get rid of that gift card I was given. I ordered somethings and had to return two items. I followed customer service directions for the return. I am now 45 days into waiting for a refund for the items I returned. I have sent numerous emails, called multiple times. I've been blown off, hung up on, promised the refund was processing and yet still I have nothing. It speaks volumes that I use a gift card I was given for a nightmare with a return and even with a whole year in between I'm living the same nightmare. Isolated incident I think not. CARTERS IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST. I've even went as far as to ask them to just give me back the money I paid that was not covered by the gift card. Which I shouldn't have to ask such a thing. But even with me willing go take half a refund I am still empty handed.
I'm hugely disappointed with the online process as well as customer service! 1 star so I can write this review but really they deserve ZERO stars! One order took 3 weeks to arrive and the other one wasn't showing any shipping activity since I got the tracking number. I waited one week then contacted them. "Your package was lost," they said. Just like that! So they reordered it. Now, I forgot to mention that it wasn't so easy getting to talk to a person; 3x I called and each time I was on hold for more than 30 minutes. Customer service reps are horrible and so are their managers. So they reship my package, however, my "lost" package just arrived! Now I have to return this new one back to them. This is the mess that they created and they aren't even truly apologetic about it. Never ever again will I order from this company!
Bought clothes for my niece and she really liked it. Just had a bit of a hassle as the shipping took more time than expected.
Love the clothes. Takes way to long to actually receive them though. At least 10 days or more. Sometimes items in your order will get canceled because they sell out, which is also really annoying. & they wont send you an email or anything letting you know. Tried emailing them for something for the inconvenience & haven't heard anything back. Starting to think The Childrens place is a better option. Free shipping AND its fast. I'll take it!
I ordered shoes to be delivered to the store for my grandson that needed to be the exact same one's he had been wearing or he would go barefoot. Called the store after a week. No record of my order. Called customer service. They were to contact the store and call me back, was later told they could not get through to the store so never called me. Back to customer service using the #4 phone option. They showed the order. Said they would overnight mail it at no charge. Saturday came and went - no shoes. Called customer service (now the 5th phone call). No answer at #4 option. Left my number. No call back. Tried regular customer service number. My order again did not exist. No, there is no supervisor on duty. Will call back in 24 hours. An hour later my earlier call was returned (the #4 office). They had my order but it hadn't been sent out "but it doesn't matter since they don't deliver on Saturdays anyway". I'd get them Monday. We are now up to seven calls and obviously any sane person would simply shop elsewhere but high probability my grandson would not wear shoes that looked or felt different, plus I'd promised these.
This is Sunday. Anyone want to place bets on these shoes coming tomorrow? I sure wouldn't.
Note: use the #4 phone option if you need customer service. Still bad but better than regular #1 choice and for whatever reason, they don't have the same info on file at both numbers.
I had Placed an order for my twin boys... we were having family pictures done in two weeks., so I figured I had ordered them plenty early for picture day., and it took 9 days before the items were even shipped, and then only half of the order even showed up... so then 5 days later the rest of the order had finally shipped but those items didn't arrive in time for picture day! :/ Horrible I won't order online from them again!
I earned $50 fun cash. Never got the email to use on purchases. The day before they were to expire I contacted them. They didn't get back to me until the next day and said sorry can't give it to you as this expired. Said check spam. Told them I did and it was never received. They don't care. $50 is a lot of money to me. Very sad. They said can't extend as expired despite the fact that they weren't expired when I reached out to them.
I haven't been paid for the whole of august i need my money from the silverthorne outlet which is very unprofessional about you company am returning back to my country i cant pay my rent because you guys owe me I can't book my flight i will never work with you guys just pay me before the 28th i was only paid for the two weeks of September and you guys said my august pay was coming i got nothing and am going back to Nigeria nextweek and never coming back please and please i need my pay by this coming week
On August 20th I bought some gift for my daughter. A week passed. Nothing came. I called. I informed that the person who answered me asked to wait one day. The other day nothing. I called again and was informed that They lost my order but would reworded. But two intens was sold out and would take up to 10 business days to arrive but I'm traveling to Brazil in 5 days. I called again the offered to give me a coupon for the next purchase of 25%. Thanks but no. I'm going to travel without my daughter gift thanks Carters
Website was not working properly last night when the buy 1 get 2 free promo was going on. I took screenshots with timestamps to prove how every time I tried to enter a promo code, I was sent to a different screen. After being a loyal customer for 20+ years, this is the first time customer service was this horrible. They refused to honor the BOG2 even though the order couldn't be placed because their site wasn't working properly. The attached is the chat transcript. We are all struggling financially so the deal was a great one, ESPECIALLY since my 4 y/o NEEDS 2 of those items
Don't buy from Carters Online Store you'll be so disappointed. They will cancel your order and not tell you why or they will take over 2 weeks to delivery your order. Either way anyone you speak to in customer service won't have a real answer for you, you will be on the phone with them forever, their wait time is unreal and they won't do anything for you without a fight. The clothes are so cute but buy from an actual store not from their website. It's not worth the time you'll waste or the aggravation you'll go thru. Trust this review I gave Carters online store 3 chances and I'll never do it again.
It is a great product. Babies need it. It will help children feel excited and parents will also feel happy

Answer: I have found better online. Sometimes just 2.99 for shirt, shorts or pj. I always buy off season and get Hugh discounts. The only problem is variety but I'm not picky. I just buy what I like and check again later. Good luck
