I realize during covid-19, things are going to be slower, and people are stressed out. I placed an order almost a month ago, and still don't have my order. I tried contacting them about it, but they didn't care anna was very rude over the phone and was no help. If this is how management treats their customers i could only imagine their employees. They've lost me as a customer.
I understand there is a pandemic. But I have gone three times in the last week. Each day a new sign saying "sorry for the inconvenience will open tomorrow". Too bad that doesn't help me because now my rewards is expired.
Saskatoon preston crossing store. Very bad customer service. Story: I waited in line outside and nobody was there to ask people to come in after somebody left, when i waited after few people left and nobody asked me to come, i went in and immediately questioned. I explained and then the girl starteled andcsaid ok. She gave me big eye right away. Well i ignored and started shopping. I waited in line again for billing, which is fine, understandable. Some other girl was on the counter, right before my turn, the welcome girl switched with her. My turn came and i showed the girl a 20% off coupon that i have, she stared at me very bad as i've asked her for her kidney or something. The store was offering 25% off anyways, when i asked her to apply my coupon, she changed the discount from 25% to 20%, which i saw her doing but i thought instead of applying coupon code she is applying 20% discount strainght. After processing, i checked my receipt and saw there was no 25% applied and instead she gave me 20%. Really? Who does that. Upon asking she said the system wont allow 2 offers at once. Ok. Got it. But why would the system give me lesser discount? I felt dissatified and cheated and returned everything. Went to childrens place and bought the stuff, cheaper and no hassel with the service. Your loss is their gain. But my question is, is it improper training or racism, bcz i have a diff ethinicity. The girl looked confident as if she's been working there for long. So she should know the systems well. Would not recommend anybody and will try to spread the word to avoid people from bad treatments.
Whatever warehouse/delivery companies they use are atrocious. The delivery men (yes that's right, two of them) that dropped off my package in front of myself and my toddler playing in his little water splash pad in our front yard made me feel extremely uncomfortable when they didn't leave for a bit and then had their phone facing out the passenger window as they drove away staring at me. Weird

Several years ago when my boys were born, I had an issue with some hats. I posted a review and heard from an actual person who apologized and was super nice and super sorry. This year I've had a few issues. Below are my latest problems. Needless to say I'm done shopping there. In this economy who can afford to alienate customers?
I submitted a review for a swim shirt on their website. I was told it was moderated as not conforming to their T&C's which I read, and which it seems to be fine with. I think they didn't like that it was negative so refused to post it. My exact review is below.
"This is really cute and made well. Unfortunately our daughter wears it under a life jacket and it's too short. It is barely longer than the jacket itself and when she moves it rides up under the life jacket exposing her back. We have another brand In the same size and it's 2" longer. Sadly she won't be able to wear this this summer. She already got burned on her back once from wearing it."
Recently I had another issue with a purchase from Carter's. They had a big screw up with shoes and their response was, send it back and here's 20% off your next purchase. I talked to 3 different reps who all were indifferent to my issue. I'm done with them as a company now. There are too many other people in the market for me to deal with poor customer service. Below is my review that was too terrible for them to post about this sun shirt.
Carter's is the worst place to order anything online. I understand that there will be a delay due to Covid. However, when the estimated date for delivery has passed by and you still haven't received your package, you think you should at least get some information as to where your package is since they already charged you weeks ago. Nope, received no information and all I received was a generic email to wait 24-48 hrs for tracking information. Took the tracking number and looked up the information myself on UPS and turns out they sent it back to Carter's. No explanation besides it couldn't get delivered by the post office.
Yeah, not going to wait another month for the package to come back when I already ordered it a month ago. Carter's is the worse. Get it together and fix your company!!! This is not the first issue I've had with your company and dealing with it's shipping.
Placed order on 4/17, took over a week for processing. Canceled order while it was still at their facility and they STILL shipped it. The 3rd party delivery company they had deliver the order left the box at my front door IN THE POURING RAIN and NEVER knocked to signify they had even been there. Sent order back to Carters and got confirmation they have the order. Then got a notification that it will take up to 30 days for them to process my refund!?!?!?!?! I AM LIVID! They have their merchandise AND my money! I will NEVER order from Carters again! You call and you're on hold for over an hour and can't live chat them because their chat bot won't let you get to a person. ABSOLUTELY THE WORST!
Absolutely the worst customer service I have every had. I only gave it one star because I had to. I will never shop here again.
I waited nearly a month for my order only to be disappointed to find I was missing an item. It took me 2.5 hour's to speak to someone and when I finally did the guy apologized and said he ordered my missing item. Literally two minutes after I got off the phone I got an email for the cancellation of my item which was apparently out of stock. It left me feeling like the guy I talked to lied just to get my off the phone.
Tried calling right back but I didn't feel it necessary to wait 2 5 more hours so I emailed. Too 4 days to get a response saying they wouldn't do anything because I had cancelled the item.
Had they had a single employee to care it never would have happened in the first place, but seriously they can't even investigate before sending me back a response that doesn't even apply.
I didn't get the items, but I get charged twice, they say that one time they hold payment then second time they charged me, but in my bank messages I was charged twice, and they didn't answer to my questions. So, I assume I get robbed by carters and get charged 160 dollars.
I should have looked on these reviews before ordering. I loved the clothing from this store that's why I order. Why have customer service and not answering the phone? It took forever and for my package not to even arrive.

Carter's has the best quality clothes for their prices! I always buy during their sales and spend way to much but never complain! Customer service is great! Never had a problem exchanging my items for different size or getting questions answered! I have been buying their clothes for 5 years and will continue until my kids cant fit in them anymore! 100% would recommend to everyone!
I made an order for my best friend on April 15,2020. My best friend was suppose to receive it on April 30th. I've been calling every single day because they kept giving me the round around saying it will be here the next day. This was absotuely all lies. Everyday I would be on hold for 2 hours to talk to someone. On top that they are rude and in a rush to get you off the phone. They decided to tell me now because I called and asked that my package was lost. They had no audacity to send me an email or anything. I had to call in order to find out. Also, they put the wrong billing address after I told them twice the correct billing address for them to refund me my money. I am very upset with carters and their customer service. They need people who are attentive and on top of peoples information. I do not recommend to order from carters at all! I really don't want to give carters one star as a review because there is no option to put zero stars for them. So, this should tell you a lot!
They state that you can cancel an order within the first 45 min. That is not true, since I called carters right away to cancel an order and I was on hold for 30+ minutes. I also left my phone for call back, tried the robochat and sent a message to customer service. I did all that within the 45 min after placing the order, without being contacted with carters.
Customer service answer my email the next day, saying that it was too late to cancel. So, the cancellation policy is a lie, because you wont be able to contact them in the first hour after making a purchase.
Update: Carters customer service contacted me and solved the issue. Since my order had shipped by the moment they contacted me, they offered a partial refund.
OMG! I wishedI had read these reviews before I placed my second order this year! First order was placed on 2/17/20 to be delivered to their store, kept on checking on their tracking service, order shows it was still at where ever that is, NEVER RECEIVED CONFIRNATION THAT THE PACKEAGE ARRIVED AT THE STORE, Called costumer service, another joke, no one answers the phone, sent e mail got a respind saying the packeage is at the store but the stores are now CLOSED SO THERE IS NO WAY TO KNOW FOR SURE! And why still shows that the packeage had not been picked up from their factory, well hope the outfits fit when ever if I ever get them, Now I placed another order to be mail to my house two weeks ago, keep on checking or tracking the packeage, SAME STORY PACKEAGE STILL AT THEIR FACTORY! I GUESS I DIDNT LEARNED MY LESSON THE FIRST TIME, THIS TIME I DID, NEVER AGAIN I WILL PLACE SN ORDER ON LINE! LOST THIS COSTUMER! Makes me wounder where is these factory? Has to be overseas
I'm having a baby the first week of July so I ordered clothes through Carters website April 9,2020 thinking I will have time to wash and get the baby's room organized! I spent $272 on the order for all the babies essentials! Well I've had the worst experience with Carters! They took my money out right away then put it back a week later then took it out again and put it back a week later again then finally on April 26th I received an email saying my clothes has shipped and they took out my money after calling them multiple times on my cell phone with an hour wait no response I tried from my work phone was on hold for 2 hours with no response and after the 2 hours it automatically hangs up on u! I tried that twice thinking maybe someone answered and I just didn't hear them but. Nope it hangs up on u! Then I call and u have the option for someone to call u back so u won't have to wait and they do but ur phone only rings once and hangs up! I tracked the shipment through FEDEX and my label was created but there hasn't been any movement as of yet it's almost 5 days now! Who knows when I will get my order... they already took my money out it's not pending on my account and I can't even call Carters for an update and FEDEX has told me that just because a label was created does not mean it has been scanned at their facility or received! The frustration that I should not be going through right now nor the stress! I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE ORDERING FROM CARTERS WEBSITE!
So the order total was taken from my account immediately. I get an email it will take longer than the usual 2-3 days to ship. Okay, I get it, things are hectic right now. I did receive an email they would be shipping items from nearby stores to helps speed it up. A few days later the order isn't in my bank account anymore. I call to see what's up. Automated system says they are still working on my order. Okay. No new updates, placed the order almost 3 weeks ago. If I had known, I wouldn't have bothered. Be honest with customers! There was a dress in there for my daughter's first birthday. Probably won't get it. Awesome.
I never received a email acknowlrdging my order but my credit card was charged. I have been on hold with Carters customer service for 1 hour with nothing but a recording and music. I tried emailing them but I get a generic response that states I can track my shipment on line. I didn't register with Carters before I purchased the item, so no I can't track my order. Buyer Beware! Never again!
I called yesterday morning, left my number for call back. Hours later still waiting, so used a second line to call. No response after several hours. Day two of calling AGAIN! On call for several hours. Left contact number for call back to keep my place in line (Yea, right!). Still waiting and have a second line on hold waiting, also. I have never received the my order from 4/20/20 mail via USPS. The order was tracked to be delivered on 4/24/20, but not received USPS contacted 4/26/20 and completed form for lost package, which will take weeks to investigate. I have attempted to contact Carters to have the package sent again. I made a purchase and I want it now, not possibly weeks from now. CUSTOMER SERVICE DOES NOT EXIST AT CARTERS. Covid 19 may have caused some issues, but POOR to NO Customer Service can stop this customer from wanting to purchase AGAIN!
Is there really someone at customer service? I don't think so. I waited for 1 hour then clicked the option to have them calm back-Don't do it! You don't even get two rings, they are gone and you can't call back. Stay on hold for 2 hours! Really! So not worth it. Then to be told that I could take 28 days to ship, why didn't you tell me that before the order was placed.
This company is the worst. Not worth it ever.

Answer: I have found better online. Sometimes just 2.99 for shirt, shorts or pj. I always buy off season and get Hugh discounts. The only problem is variety but I'm not picky. I just buy what I like and check again later. Good luck
