Took my truck into the GM Dealership for an issue on my truck. It was diagnosed and the service shop called car shield to report the findings. Unfortunately the problem that I had wasn't covered. Now I have to pay out pocket. Hopefully this will won't be an ongoing thing.
My car is a 2018 - Not "old", but certainly not "new".
It has 41,000 miles on it, because I don't drive much. Ice T kept drilling in my head to get Car Shield, and I love him... so I joined.
I was enrolled for 6 months. Something wacky happened to my car. Coolant started leaking from my car, but not on to the ground (where I could have detected a problem). It leaked into the engine. My car overheated on me, twice; Dashboard lights were flashing RED and the font was yelling at me to shut the car off.
I towed it to the local dealership. They did a two-day diagnostic on it. Turned out; I needed a whole new engine!
At 41,000 miles... I needed a new Engine?!? WHAT?!?
Car Shield picked up the bill. Total cost was just shy of $6,000.
I have recommended Car Shield to *SO* many people, ever since this incident. Friends, Family, Neighbors, Strangers... You name it! If I see a random person with their hood up and a puzzled look on their face, I recommend Car Shield.

They took care of my car problem. They are very professional and have very professional personnel. They payed to fix my truck and then I payed my deductible. So I tell my friends about Car Shield and family.
From the very start, I was given the names of three possible dealers who might take care of my problem. On stated that they no longer deal with Car Shield it was difficult receiving the money. The second who I did consult kept me going back and forth with finding a part and having time to complete my repair. I finally after several months, took my car to the dealer and they made the repair. I was also informed that they do not take Car Shield. So when I purchased another car. I called cancelled with you all and just purchased and extended warranty and GAP.
The only thing they paid for was the labor/parts/fuel. Understood. But they wouldn't pay for the diagnostics to determine and/or problem/resolution.
The salesperson helped me choose the warranty that best fit my vehicle.
Very professional, courteous, and very helpful. I would recommend this company for anyone who needs piece of mind in caring for your car.

The representatives I talked to were super friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. However, it seemed like my application got lost or stuck along the way. After waiting over a month and receiving no information and had to make a call to determine my status. The representative found my claim after transferring through a maze of supervisors. I feel had it not been for my initiative and tenacity, my application would have fallen through the cracks.
Seems like all is good now and I have some peace of mind, I've got some coverage.
