My experience much as others, no calls answered, did get someone at the body shop but he was 'on holiday' and new nothing about paint supply op, no response to emails, (except to tell me they were on holiday, this a week after the date mentioned) no response to request to cancel, SENT FOUR TIMES. Only good news, received my order and paint seems to be of reasonable quality. A cowboy operation that should be shut down.
Ordered last april, wrong colour paint sent after a MONTH. Informed them, they then asked for a photo of the car and no. Plate and paint code which was all sent. Since then I have sent 6 e/mails and left several voicemails to no avail. My request for a refund has fallen on deaf ears. Take my advice DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE.
Order Number: RG39RG*******why am i waiting still for my paint, all paid for but no product, if no speedy response i will go the legal route.the least you can do is to return my money.
AVOID - They take your money and send you nothing.
They don't reply to e-mails.
A Complete rip off and I will be taking legal advise.

Interesting enough the property is currently occupied by Lothian Bodyshop, who do exactly the same thing!

If no joy try Trading Standards!

Avoid. Two updates since my previous review: 1) I've bought the paint from paints4u, they are excellent. 2) I've received a refund from carpaintrepair. Here's how: Google "trading standards citizens advice". You can't contact Trading Standards directly, unless you are a business, but Citizens Advice will contact them for you. Citizens Advice and Trading Standards are both friendly and helpful. Do pursue a refund, even for a small amount. Trading Standards are watching this "trader", but they are grateful for more evidence. (I've put "trader" in quotes because, as they do not often send any goods, they do not trade.)
Ordered paint got email asking for code. Sent code nearly three weeks and nothing has arrived. They are a shambles. I will be informing trading standards
I ordered touch up paint from this website, they sent an email to say my order has been processed and the paint is on it's way. That was three weeks ago. None of my emails have been replied to or phone calls answered. Must be a scam website. Will be reporting to Trading Standards.
Just like most of the others reviewing this company I have paid my money and got nothing in return despite emails, don't even bother trying to phone. The only way I could find to email these cowboys was via the webmail form on the site so don't forget to copy and paste somewhere what and when you send as You won't have a record in your email. These people certainly know what they are about.
There are several suggestions to contact West Lothian Trading Standards, which I did but incredibly I got the following reply:
"IF YOU ARE A CONSUMER
West Lothian Council Trading Standards no longer provides a consumer advice service.
If you need advice or wish to make a complaint about goods or services you have bought you should contact Citizens Advice consumer service, the government-funded telephone and online service:
Tel: ******* 04 05 06
Website: http://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/index/getadvice/consumer_service.htm"
They still however seem to offer a free service to Businesses! You couldn't make it up.
I will jump through the hoops suggested I suppose because even though it is only a small amount of money other people may lose more and they deserve to have some action taken against them. I think they probably rely on people not bothering to pursue these things for small amounts, but small amounts multiplied thousands of times is a lot, so use the information in here to make a complaint if you need to, and if you haven't yet bought, Don't.
TOTAL RIPP-OFF, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! IT'S ONLY GOT A STAR BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO TICK ONE TO SUBMIT THE REVIEW
This company sends an instant email confirming they've received your order then you get your paint in 2 days with tracking information paints4u.com
I have been waiting 3 weeks for my paint. The only response I get from them is that they have been on holiday up until 18th July and have a massive backlog. All should be resolved within 7 days. It is now Aug 24th and still no paint or direct correspondence from them. I fear the worst!
Took two weeks to arrive and it's wrong colour. Will not answer email and phone service is an answer machine that is full so you can't get in contact. Absolutely do not use this company. They will take your money and that's it. Trading standards will be notified... DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY... YOU WILL BE SORRY... NEEDS A VISIT AND TO BE EXPOSED BY ROUTE TRADER... BBC...
In this day and age of internet shopping nothing should take 3 weeks, and still counting, for any item to arrive delivery normally take 2-3 days with most online shops and couriers, comapnay has responded to my email saying they have sent my paint but that was 4 days ago, i gave them my reg and paint code, should have used paints4u as i did several years ago, but i thought i would try another company as they are from scotland and i live in scotland, how stupid i was all for the sake of saving £2 odd! AH! My paint has arrived the day after I put up this review, ok 3 weeks is pretty bad in this day and age but I got my paint! And it was the correct colour! And they do give a leaflet on how to prepare the surface before painting.
Don't get sucked into this company - they just want your money. They'll probably go bankrupt and then re-invent the company under a different name, goodbye £34!
Having read some of these reviews after ordering I was slightly wary. There was no need tho, my order has arrived 7 days after placing it and there has been constant communication from them.
Will definatly use them again.
Not a question. But want a answer, to why paint that ordered over 3wks ago hasn, t arrived. I have googled address and there is no CarPaintRepair shop there. Right where the shop should be is a Trader under the name of LothianBody Shop. Weird.
I thought I was on my own trying to get my order or money back until i stumbled across Trust pilot and saw all the reviews here - I have exactly the same issues as everyone else.
First they emailed me to say its on its way, then a day later to say they have lost the order - what? - polite email back to them and nothing despite a barrage of emails from me threatening trading standards and legal action - I've now informed all the classic car forums I'm on about their service and and have asked my bank to get the money back - what's wrong with these people?
Update:
Contact Sally Burton at West Lothian Trading Standards - just email them and she will get your money back - they claim they sent it out - yeah right
