Terrible costumer service - I had a missing part and it has been 35 days of them saying they will ship it in the next 24-48 hours.

I ordered a light bulb from them but, after taking apart my own dome light, I saw the ends of the bulbs would not work with the part they were offering as a "vehicle specific fit." I called them up to cancel the bulb in my order before it was shipped and the lady taking care of me refunded me the money right away. I mainly order LED bulbs from them and their house brand. The only reason that I took off a star was because they don't quite have their inventory in order. I've had things backordered a few times after placing an order with it saying the parts were "in-stock." If you ever need to contact customer service, the wait on the phone is very short and they pick up usually within the first minute of holding. Other businesses tend to take much longer than CarID. So far I have not had to make any returns, so I can't speak for other people with bad experiences.

I have purchased parts for my Honda S2000 and my Audi A4. The staff at CarID is patient and friendly, knowledgeable and most important they are professional. I shop with confidence as they have a price guarantee. Shipping is fast and it was free on both my orders. My Audi clutch kit arrived in less than 24 hours! I always check their site first. If I don't order from CarID, it will be because they won't have what I want. I haven't had that issue yet. You can call, live chat or email. They will answer or respond. Kudos to CarID.

Honestly, at first i was always buying from auto parts stores like Autozone and Advance Auto Parts, but the frustrating part was not finding the right help, all the parts i needed/need, AND at a good price. With Carid not only did i find good pricing and all the parts i needed/need but the best part is seeing known brands like Tein and other well known performance parts. Not to mention customer service and timing was always on point. I already recommended others to Carid and they're just as satisfied. If your thinking about trying Carid out, please do. Im the owner of a 05 tj and was looking for a bumper. Found one at CARiD and was the same price as other website but CARiD was offering a special with all poison spyder bumpers. Added to my cart and was going to pay but was confused when didnt see the permotion in my cart. So I left it alone and didnt pay. I got a phone call and a email from CARiD asking why I didnt follow through with my purchase and a phone number to call and talk to a person not a computer. So I called back asking about shipping and the permotioal they where running. They walked me through shipping and was able to get a discount on my bumper and the special they were offering. Shipping was 3-5 day to where I live. I came home 2 days later and there it was at my door step. I ordered a set of rims & tires for my 2015 Chrysler 200, first thing that went wrong was they said 2 weeks, it took a month. 2nd thing the went wrong Chrysler 200 using a lug bolts, not lug nuts so they sent me the wrong ones, 3rd thing to go wrong was they sent me the wrong hub rings and after installing them on my Chrysler and having 2 of them break and almost had my rims fall off and had to get my car towed home. 4th things to go wrong 10 days after receiving my wheels and tires, I received another set of hub rings? Why? I call them they had no idea. After 9 calls to them they tell me the second set of hub rings are the right one and everything's okay now. NO EVERYTHING NOT OKAY. My rims are damaged now after installing the wrong hub rings, my hub are damaged now, the rims won't balance after spending $35 twice to try and they tell me to have another set sent to me, but caris isn't taking any of the blame, they say it's my fault for not waiting for the other hub rings "which I had no idea they were coming" and put them on but because I put the wrong hub rings on "the ones they sent me" I'm to blame. F*ck this place I spend $2000 on paper weights.

I would like to apologize from behalf of CARiD for the back-ordered item. Let me offer some compensation to you. Please provide me with your order number at [email protected], so I could do something in the situation occurred.
I have wasted at least 5 to 6 hours on hold with these clowns. I had a rim crack which it was under warranty. They said I would just have to pay for a new one then they would send me a new. I would just have to send the cracked wheel back and they would refund me. Well I paid for the wheel they said it would be a one week turn around and I would have my money back. I got a email a few days later that said the wheel was on back order and it would ship out in 3 months. So I called a few times a week to see if it would be any sooner. I got the same answer a few times that it would be in 3 months. So I got the manufactures email and talked to them about my situation. They said they no longer make that wheel. They didnt know how they even got a day to ship out a wheel they didnt even make anymore. So I called CARiD back and told them what the manufacturer said. So they looked into it and said they would refund me for all of my wheels. So I was happy with that but it took almost a month to get boxes from CARiD to send them back. So now they said they would give me 872 back for the wheels towards the new ones. The new ones are a 7 dollar difference and they are trying to charge me 95 dollars for something they cant give me an answer what the charge is for no one there knows what is going on. I have asked to talk to a manager for the last month still have yet to talk to a manager. I called back today and now all of the managers are in a meeting. This company is a joke I will never deal with them again please stay clear of them. I mean unless you feel like being on hold for at least and hour for no answers.

When I ordered the sunvisor the gentleman I spoke to said he had it set to ship out and GUARANTEED it would be here Thursday! Your website stated it was due to be shipped out on June 4th, 3 day shipping. It would be here Thursday. Whoever does the shipping did not ship it out on the 4th. So now I won't get my order until Friday. I'm leaving Friday morning to go park my new car in the blazing sun at an airport for 2 weeks! I NEEDED that sunvisor by Thursday. Now I don't have any time to order it from anywhere else as there is no more mail time to be here by Thursday unless I want to pay for overnight shipping. CARiD was my first choice since your reviews were so good. FAIL!

Item came with a defect so I contacted customer service and they quickly resolved the issue. Both employees that I talked too were very polite and knew what they were talking about.
The site is easy to navigate and when calling the company, the representative gave awesome customer services! I got my parts within three days.
Took the money immediately and then received numerous delay notices over several months with a final e-mail informing the cost had gone up over 65% which would need to be paid before the item could be shipped.
Customer support was friendly but entirely ineffective.

Its unfortunate that your organization feels there is no fault and no opportunity for improvement.
During this process there were 2 times where notices of delay that came after the date we were notified it would arrive at our location. This could easily be managed with your supplier and be communicated to the customer that the intended ship date will not be met and an alternate date provided (a date that should be met).
In regards to the shipping costs there is clearly an error somewhere in the system where costs for shipping can increase 300%-500% making the overall cost of the item increase over 65%.
In a properly functioning organization these items should be managed properly to give the customer the ability to make the appropriate decision on sourcing their parts from a timing and cost perspective.
A copy of this email will be posted on the review website in order to inform others so they make an informed decision.
