They give you a promotional period of 0% interest, sounds great. However if you don't keep that date in mind you'll be charged all the back log interest, they don't send separate notices that this is about to occur, instead they put in tiny writing on your monthly that your promotional period will be ending soon. And if you're like me and don't rely on your statements to pay, you instead just log into the app each month or even Have it on auto pay then you're screwed. Thanks a bunch card credit, for being so sneaky and sleezy.

This bank well known as crook. My account has closed after 18 months payment requested. Care credit still acted like my account still exist and continue charge 500$ interest each 15 days and don't even put me in collection because I owe them nothing. They bring me back more than 3000$ balance interest even I didn't used at all and account has-been closed more than 6 months but they leave active just like I still used it. Please be aware. Even you owe them nothing with balance zero but they will leave it open and charge interest but show your account is closed. If I still owe them money why didn't they put me in collection if I don't pay them, they only put me on credit score present my credit card still active and keep increase my spending just like I still using them. Bunch of crook.

CARECREDIT, this medical credit is a loan shark. Beware, they're sneaky, false advertisements, and they won't negotiate to pay off your credit nor remove any interest charges. They are not helping people but making them more in debt.

Stay away!

DO NOT use this company! I took advantage of a "promotion" and tried their card for a medical procedure and out of no where I just received an $860 INTEREST charge on my $900 balance. They back tracked 18 months of "interest free" and charged me. No warning or anything and no one can help me. I just spoke to them on the phone and the woman could care less. I'm so upset. DO NOT FALL for this like I did. I'm upset that my Dr.'s office even suggested this for me.

DON'T DO IT
May 6, 2023

I have read some of the previous reviews and I agree with all the ones that are telling you NOT to get this card. Synchrony would NOT work with you and CareCredit is through Synchrony. I've called to see if they can work with me so that I can pay this card off... The APR lowered, any new promotions, etc, the answer for me was... "I'm sorry there's nothing we can do." That's a fact, and It's also true that their Reps give out false information. I called to pay off some of my promotional balances bc one of the Reps once told me that if I don't call to tell them how to allocate the payments they won't put it towards my promotional balance. I called and the rep said she would. I paid the amount for some of the so-called promotional balances. A few days later I checked to see the changes and she didn't make any changes. What's even worst is that they don't clearly explain to you how the promotional purchases really work. It's all sketchy and a load of crap. They just want you to keep paying and paying and paying them. I have no idea HOW I owe them as much as I do when I always make $100+ payments. I've been paying for this card since 2014 and I still owe them over $3,000. No matter what I do, it won't go down. Right now, if I pay $140, $70 of it goes towards the interest. That's every month since I got the card. There's something fishy going on there. But no worries bc there are other options if you want to finance your dental or medical visits. AVOID CARECREDIT... DON'T DO IT!

I have been a loyal Carecredit card holder for almost a year now. Have recently been very diligent about increasing my credit score as I would like to buy a home in the near future. I have always had on time payments, I have good credit and just a $1400 limit with Carecredit which I used for some dental work. I was about to request an increase to use them for an upcoming procedure so I made a $500 payment to my card so that the balance could be low before I requested the increase and it TOOK 6 DAYS to get taken out of my account. WHY would any payment take that long. In the meantime, I double checked the app and the payment said "posted" and the $500 subtracted from my balance so I stopped paying as much attention. They then reversed the charge, closed my account, and now my credit is going to take a hit all because of their stupid processing time. If I had known like if they had tried to put any effort into reaching out to me to let me know there was an issue with the processing, then this wouldn't have been an issue. I will not be doing business with them in the future and will certainly be telling everyone I know to steer clear of this scam company. They know how much closing an account like that for a simple processing error can impact someones credit, and they simply do not care. Everyone always talks about how creditors want to work with borrowers they trust. Well in this case this company is not trust worthy and doesn't care about its borrowers so I will never be doing business with them again.

I went to verify my credit limit as I have a appointment coming up and they closed my account due to my credit score dropping according to them. They will not reopen my account they advised me I have to re apply again so it will hurt my credit more. Not happy with this as I'm trying to build my credit and don't need or want another hit one from them closing my acct and one from my re applying. Nit a good way to do business

Misleading
April 23, 2023

I had to have the care credit card for a few years and generally I would give a five star rating but the moment I actually had to use the card for a very big emergency surgery for my dog which cost $4000 of my card credit limit… The first purchase was $1500 at the first time we went to the emergency care And it said I had six months to pay that off. I paid that much money within the six months however, they did not apply that money to that purchase. Instead, they applied any payment I made to the other purchases, which had a fixed percentage rate, and no due date for zero interest. When I called to clarify why the promotional balance was not going down after all of the payments that I made, I was told there was allocated money going to the Larger amounts first. So even though I paid a few hundred dollars every month to pay off the promotional balance which had a timeframe most of my monthly payment was going towards the purchases with no timeframe any fixed interest rate. When I agreed to the terms of the promotional balance. They made it clear that it would be paid off first and the other ones would be paid off however, long it took me. I was lied to, and this led about the terms of the agreement. I do not recommend this credit card to anyone who can avoid it. They know exactly how to get the interest money from their clients and they know exactly how to screw you over.

First impression
April 10, 2023

I tried to pre-qualify 3X online - almost at the end, the site said "expired" & kicked me out -3X. So I called & tried 2X on the phone. Both times,in the middle of the process, I was kicked to representatives who had no clue why I was there & offered no solution. If this bank is a mess to deal with at application, what can it be when you owe them money? Maybe it's going under?

I paid for my cat's treatment in February of this year for almost $1200.00. I set up the account to automatically pay the balance in full over a 12 month period. I had the confirmation email. Lo and behold, my checking account was debited for the full amount! When I reached out to Synchrony Bank, I was advised that the only record of automatic payments was for the statement balance which preceded my most recent purchase. Long and short of it, the C/R acquiesced and advised me that they could issue me a refund for the excess amount withdrawn, which they did via USPS. Funny thing is, Synchrony is set up to take money out of your account but is unable to make any deposits to your account. Please, try to work out a payment arrangement with your provider or obtain a credit card from a major issuer. Many card issuers offer 6 to 12 months grace period on purchases. Some offer more.
Also, please avoid the payoff insurance they offer (I got caught at a weak moment). It's like paying a finance charge!

Terrible
March 22, 2023

Got lasik credit approved. It's supposed to be a 18 month interest free plan. 1st they tacked on insurance which I didn't authorize. They don't even let you see what payment plan you're on (6 month vs. 12 month etc on thier website). Have to call custoemr service which leads you to an automated bot that sends you a non-functioning text. Then you chat with someone line. Can some please call me to take care of my issue of you taking $4800 out of my bank account.
--> They took out incorrect amount and claimed they fixed it after getting on the customer service line. Then they took out the entire amount ($4800) of credit in 1 month despite being on a 18 month interest free plan to split this over 12 months.

I got scammed
February 19, 2023

These people are scammers and they made me pay 3000 dollars in interest, saying that the deal I had for zero interest was done after a year, they charged me 1500 last month and 1500 yesterday, and when I told them that they couldn't do that, they said that it's the policy without any respect for the customer. I have never been late for a payment and I have never caused problems or anything. They asked me to close the balance within 20 days or they will charge me 1000 dollars every month. If I could give them zero stars I would

I had been a loyal customer with care credit for 5+ years. After covid they lowered my credit limit which as you know affects ones credit, then recently they closed my account for no plausible reason. I can't even log in to pay my bill. Synchrony bank and Care Credit are thieves and corrupt. Go with someone else or better yet just use cash. These huge corporations need to be dissolved. They are ruining lives.

I was super excited about this credit card bc I have teeth problems and no insurance. I've applied many times and was denied. When I finally got approved, I was overjoyed.
Did my teeth problems, think I'm on a plan of automatic payment.
NO EVERY MONTH HAVE HAD THESE, I'VE BEEN DELINQUENT IN PAYMENT BC ALLEGEDLY THERE'S INSUFFICIENT FUNDS, BUT I GET A REMINDER 4 DAYS BEFORE, SO I MAKE SURE MONEY IS THERE. THE ENTIRE TIME I'VE HAD THIS CREDIT CARD, IT'S THE SAME GOD DAMN THING. IM DELINQUENT, EVERY MONTH. IT'S TAKEN MY CREDIT SCORE, WHICH I'M WORKING ON, 10 POINTS EVERY $#*!ING MONTH THEY DO THIS $#*!. IF I HAD THE 1400 TO PAY TO GET YOU OFF MY CREDIT, I WOULD! YOUR COMPANY SUCKS BALLS.

Garbage company

They decrease your entire credit line with no notice after only several months and conveniently after I paid it off for the 20th time. I found out only when trying to pay for surgery. The customer service (especially managers) are useless! With all excellent criteria met they discriminate and punishment clients that actually pay their bill and are stellar in every area. Literally any other card is better! Don't waste your time or money on this low level business. They inevitably will fail if this is the way they make money!
