I like the set up of your site. I do not like how you want to nickel and dime the fundamentals like background checks and other services. Not nice business practice since this is vital. Glad I know how to do my own background checks.

I've used this site to find jobs over the past 8 years. It is an extremely helpful resource, and I think it is run really well. One suggestion I would give that I think would make a huge difference, would be to require people posting jobs to add more details about the job. I can't tell you how many times I've looked through listings only to see that the only description of what the job entails is: " we need a babysitter please be comfortable with pets" with a very large range of hours and pay rate. I don't waste my time applying to jobs that don't give good details about the hours, how many kids, ages, area they live (doesn't need to be an address). Also, care.com should give feedback to employers about the difference between hiring a nanny or a babysitter, because there are huge differences between the two.

You should be able to search by availability. What's the point in seeing people that do not currently have availability? Also, the website is a little clunky. I got a pop-up (about hiring a nanny info) that I couldn't close so I had to close the website tab and login all over again.

I think it's way too expensive to post a single job description for a household person, and there's not a description in your choices for what I really need. So I see no other way to do this when I need a particular skillset. I sure hope it ends up being worth it in the long run.

You really can't use the platform without messaging a caregiver and you can't message a caregiver without paying a steep fee. This is both dishonest and expensive. I have plenty of other subscriptions and none cost on the order of $45 a month. I would recommend that you both offer limited free messages on the "free tier" and then allow new members to sign up for a monthly price that is more reasonable and allow them to cancel at any time. For example, I would have much more happily signed up at $13 a month price (which is still high in my opinion), if I can cancel at anytime (as opposed to paying it all up front). Also, the upcharging after initial signup is the definition of "nickel and dime-ing", which makes me feel like care.com exists only to make a profit, which doesn't make me want to spend time on the site and certainly doesn't make me want to be a recurring subscriber! My goal now will be to get what I need (a babysitter) and cancel my subscription asap. The one good area is that the site does look good and has been easy to navigate so far.

I found your membership levels to be confusing. I mistakenly purchased an add-on service. I had to contact Chat to help me.
I also am having trouble posting a Special Needs job for an adult. I could not find this category. Again, I had to contact Chat to help me.
It would also be helpful to have a Customer Service phone number to assist me.
