I seldom do online reviews but felt I need to this time to warn other people to not use this company/website. When I went to use my $25 gift card for a $5 purchase, I was told I owed money because my gift card had less than $2 on it. I have used other sites and never had this happen so I would not recommend anyone use this site for gift cards.

Scam... stay away
September 21, 2017

Here is what I wrote when they declined to refund me for a worthless $100 gift card for Panera that I successfully used $5 of before the 45 day guarantee ran out:
So, you are actually selling stolen gift cards? That seems illegal. You must have records of who you buy these from and once they are deemed stolen those people could be prosecuted, or your company sued. I have bought several cards from you and this is the second time this has happened so I will never buy them again and will be sure to tell everyone I know not to buy them either. Guess that's why you have the 45 day guarantee to try to gain a little time before companies investigate fraud. I even used my card a few times in the first 45 days not realizing it could still be cancelled. What a scam.

I tried selling my Fleming's Steakhouse giftcard to Cardcash. They made me an offer of $70 for the $100 card. I did everything they requested, and even paid extra for tracking through USPS (like they recommended). A week later I received an email stating that their system "flagged your order as high risk" and they couldn't proceed. They also stated that their customer service reps have no further answers. So I wasted my time, and money for them to flag a perfectly legit giftcard. I verified the amount, since it was a gift from my employer, and it was never used and had the correct amount. What a joke of a company. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!

STAY AWAY! Lots of fraud.
September 21, 2017

Bought over $1,000 in cards from them over 2 years. Most worked but burnt twice on gift cards that were worthless just days after the 45 day guarantee. That cost me much more than the total savings of all my purchases. They WILL NOT EVER give you the money back. Had some cards worthless within the 45 day period. Got that money back but it's an effort. Seems that they may buy gift cards purchased with stolen credit cards. When the stolen card is shut down, the issuer can make the gift card worthless.

After many purchases I have decided to no longer use Cardcash because the majority of the cards are worthless when used and I am tired of having to go through the trouble of getting a credit if the card is less than 45 days. And the 45 day guarantee is lousy as compared to Raise.com or Cardpool.com both of which offer one year guarantee. Stay away from Cardcash because their competition offers much better results, less headaches and similar discount.

CardCash (AKA Card Cash) is a company that simply perpetuates fraud. Why would they offer only a 45-day gift card balance guarantee when all of the other companies/the industry norm is to offer a full year warranty? The answer: because they know most of the cards they are selling are fraudulent, and by doing so, they are perpetuating fraud. How it works is that takes a billing cycle or two for unsuspecting individuals to realize their credit card was used fraudulently to buy gift cards, report it to the credit card company, and for the credit card company to investigate and determine the transaction fraudulent. Once this is done, the gift card balances are zeroed out, and the transactions reversed. Interesting that this timeline aligns with CardCash's 45-day warranty. So, they end up with their transaction fee, the fraudulent seller ends up with their cut, and you end up with a gift card that was canceled due to being bought fraudulently. You'll end up with NOTHING! I got taken by this company for a couple thousand dollars, and even had to have Citi and Master Card investigate one instance for ~$400 where they would not refund for fraudulent cards within the 45-day warranty period. Took me four months to finally have MasterCard straighten it out and reverse the transaction with CardCash. Save yourself a lot of time and money by not dealing with this fraud-perpetuating company. No, you definitely will not be saving money, you'll be losing money!... While creating a very big headache for yourself.

Issues
September 18, 2017
Previous review

Have used them in the past with no issues. Recently had a card not have the full value. Used within a week of receiving. Reply from customer service took longer than they said it would. Now they are saying it was used for the full amount. If I can not get this resolved, I will be out close to $200. Be wary.

Ripped off
September 17, 2017

I bought an e-gift card. When I first got it I contacted the store and the card was good. But due to unexpected events I didn't get to (attempt to) use the card for 60 days. During that time someone contacted the vendor and reported the card either lost or stolen so they wouldn't honor it from me. They asked me how I came to have the card and I told them I bought it from CardCash.com. They said it was against their policy to resell the gift cards in the first place and if they knew it was resold they wouldn't honor it anyway. Be prepared tobe ripped off if you deal with this "no ethics" company.

Fake Gift Cards
September 14, 2017

I bought a gift card for a restaurant chain. When we went to use it, the waiter said it's not valid. I made him try again and he said it's not even a real gift card. When I contacted customer support, they wouldn't refund since it has been over 45 days.

Bought Hyatt hotel gift cards worth $1000. Only 1 card actually had $100 on it. Card cash said it was past their 45 day guarantee so they would do nothing. Would recommend you stay away from this company.

I will never use cardcash again. They will not refund the money that I spent on 2 $200 dollar e-code gift certificates. I asked them too and they said they would put in a request,,, THEY NEVER GOT BACK TO ME... when they finally did an agent "Higher up" denied the request and they were going to send me a paper copy to an address in Oregon. I live in Washington State. Nice... now the e-gift cards that I was using as gifts are not here in time and I am stuck with them WHENEVER the e-code cards show up. Not a company I plan to do business with.

Will Nevet Use Again
September 12, 2017

I bought 400 dollars worth of cards from this company as rewards for my employees. They sold me a $50 card that had $0 on it. When my employee tried to use it, of course, she couldn't. I purchased the card on July 7, but was told after it was found to be not useable, that it had been used on June 28th - something this company should have verified before selling it. Now, they refuse to give me a refund for the card saying it violates their policy. I would consider robbing customers a violation! I have corresponded with a representative repeatedly but to no avail. So, if you purchase from this company please do not give the cards as gifts as you do not know when the receiver may use it and if it is fraudulent, you will lose your money. I will never purchase from them again.

Fraud
September 12, 2017

Complete fraud! Stay away... bought a couple of cards to help my elderly mother pay for food and she went to use and they had already been used in July. Contacted CardCash customer service, what a joke, sorry we have your money and won't even look in to the problem. These people are thieves and think again if even considering using them.

Rip Off!
September 7, 2017

Don't use them they will rip you off! Their certificates often have no value and they won't do anything to help you get your money back unless you do it immediately. Their customer service is a joke, I would call them anti-customer service. Buy your gift cards locally where you can talk to someone if there is a problem rather than getting an email saying sorry your certificate isn't worth the paper it is printed on.

Too many issues
September 6, 2017

I have lost over $150 on gift cards bought on this site. From physical cards to electronic cards. The thing is, if you have an issue within the 45 days, you might get your money, if you have an issue after the 45 days, you are out of luck. I have had issues with cards before and after the 45 days. It seems like a hit or a miss if your gift card will work once you get to the place. Even do gift cards don't have an expiration date, you need to be sure to use it within 45 days. I have learned my lesson and will stay away from this site. There are others that are more reliable.

Purchased a $100 Logan"s card. How embarrassing it was to have the card come up with zero value at the restaurant. Now I'm out the cost of the meal plus the price of the gift card. CS claims there is risk/reward to buying from them, but they will sell a gift card that someone can still use from right under you at any time. Business model is flawed if they cannot stand by the goods they sell or ID the sellers so fraudulent sellers can be avoided.

Fraud
August 30, 2017

Tried to use my card on the 57th day only to find out that on the 47th day after purchase it was reported as fraudulent by the credit card company! CardCash said too bad. I've used ABC & GiftCard Bin before with no issues. I will never use CardCash again. I can't believe the previous owner would've done that. I believe it was CardCash doing it.
