I am one of the many consumers that have also encountered the same humiliating experience of a ZERO balance on a $50 gift card. I believe that a 45 day guarantee policy is basically stating if you do not use it, you lose it & it gets put back up for sale. There is NO way possible that all these balances mysteriously disappear!
I plan on posting your rip off company on any media I can selling cards that have 0 balance. The card you sold me had been used up over 2 years ago!
I purchased a gift card on Feb 3,2017, didnt go to use it until now and found out embarrassingly that it had 0 dollars on it. Did some calling to find out that the gift card was actually used up 100% on Jan 24,2017 in a location 1500 miles away from me. So Cardcard sold me a used up gift card and since i didnt use it right away they offered nothing and basically said SCREW YOU. AVOID THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU WANT A HASSLE!
Scammers. They sell invalid cards which in some cases are invalid before their 45 day guarantee window. They refuse to work with you.
I bought 100$ worth of the GC and when I tried to use it after a month, it had zero balance. I contacted them, but got standard answer. Look like a SCAM!
I had a ~$500 gift card that I attempted to sell at Card Cash.
I was declined and several weeks later the balance was zeroed out which I found out when trying to use the card. It turns out it was used multiple states away.
I contacted their customer service who didn't help, put me on a long hold, and didn't offer a refund.
I'm a pretty even keeled person but this is fraud. Plain and simple.
Ridiculous. Scam. Scam. Scam.
I've purchased from CardCash for the past couple of years. At first I had no problems whatsoever. The last two purchases had balances of $0.00. I got my money back, but it's embarrassing and a hassle that you shouldn't have to deal with. They won't get anymore of my money. My guess would be that they're having financial troubles.
I bought 3 Panera e-gift cards from them over 40 days ago and only 1 out of 3 worked. The first one had a $0 balance and the second one had less than $3 on it (should have been $25).
I buy gift cards and the value "disappears" after the guarantee date! What a racket! I think it is time to contact the attorney general's office.
I paid $600 for 16 $50 Hyatt gift cards worth $800. Five, yes, five of them had $0 balances. Unfortunately, they will not refund my money because I put my claim in at 47 days instead of 45 days. Their customer service is awful. They do not investigate the fraud and they could not care less about you. It's amazing that this company has been allowed to operate for over 11 years. There are other reputable companies out there selling discounted cards. This is not one of them. You've been warned.
Very excited at the prospect of discounted gift cards - was my initial reaction. I immediately purchased a few hundred dollars worth of restaurant cards. For the 1st few weeks all went well. I even went to restaurants to verify that the amounts on the cards was there.
After a couple months I began to find that all of my gift cards now had $0 balances. I called Card Cash & they told me that they only stand behind their cards they sell for 45 days. THIS IS A SCAM! All my cards are drained immediately following the 45 days. They wont return calls or emails and damn sure they know whats going on!
STEER CLEAR OF CARD CASH OR PLAN TO USE YOUR GIFT CARDS WITHIN 45 DAYS OR THEY WILL SCREW YOU!
They are a scam, they dont give real cards. Its a piece of paper with a number that was never valid. They hope that you dont spend it after 45 days, and if you try before hand i bet they give a return but the odds are you wont spend before hand. They make a lot of money. I got scammed because it was on the ebay deals front page. I thought it was legit. Customer service is horrible as well. Who spends a gift card after a little more than a month?
This company only offers a 45 day? Guarantee (if that). Several of their competitors offer 12 months. Having lost over $90 to this outfit, I will never use them again.
This website is horrible and I have foolishly lost a great deal of money bc I was taken advantage of using this website. I have purchased a great deal of cards on this site. The first time I had a problem with a lowes gift card. The balance was much less than the balance of the card I had purchased. They did refund me bc it was within the 45 days. Then it happened again at IHOP, Panera Bread, TGIFRIDAYS, ToysRUs, and Payless. And bc it was past the 45 day guarantee, they will not reimburse me for the hundreds of dollars I've lost. Also, many cards that cardcash sells require you to check the balance on the actual store and you cannot check it online or by phone. This makes me question how they are selling the gift cards with physically checking the balances in the stores. They're a moneymaking scam website. DO NOT BECOME ANOTHER VICTIM!
First time ever purchasing from these scam artist, Just purchased a $200.00 gift card went to buy something online literally 5 minutes later and it had a zero balance. On Walmart site you can check the usage of the card I checked it and it was used a week prior. I emailed them received an email back saying it will take 5-7 days to investigate. Im calling my credit card company in the morning to dispute the charge. Only use if you want to get scammed! Go to raise.com I used them a lot no problems the only reason I used card cash was because raise was out.
I have been buying CardCash since year 2014. I bought thousands and thousands worth of gift cards. Recently, I bought Starbucks gift card worth $200. When I try to use the gift card, Starbucks notified me that the account is closed. It's a gift card, why the account can be closed?! I file a claim from CardCash by phone, the customer representative was nice trying to help me. He stated that even after 45 days, they still can help since I never use the gift cards. Unfortunately, a customer service name Stacy M. Sent emails to me stated that it's already passed 45 days of buyer protection! Well, I feel like I got robbed big time! I will never trust CardCash forever!
Based on reviews I've read, I feel lucky that all 5 attempts I made to purchase a $300 gift card did not go through. After my first attempt, I received an email indicated confirmation of purchase. Within minutes, I checked the status of the order on their website and it indicated that it had been cancelled. I called customer service and they told me that their "system" had cancelled it and they were not provided any indication why, and they recommended I try a different form of payment.
After trying two more forms of payment in 4 different additional attempts, all efforts were "cancelled" due to their "system". Now my fear is that they have the information of 3 of my credit cards.
I called customer services twice and neither rep had a reasonable explanation. They only said they couldn't tell me why it got cancelled and that I should try a different form of payment.
Wanted to get the discount, but the saying goes - You get what you pay for.
Stay away.
I finally got my money back. I had to contact my Governors Office of Consumer Affairs. They contacted the company and the similar office in New Jersey( where they are located). After twice denying my request for refund, they called me and said they would do me a favor this one time.(like I would ever buy from them again). Contact your Governors Office of Consumers Affairs.
I bought $200 worth of giftcards for $179. I gave them to my son who was graduating college. When he went to use them there was 0 balance on them. I contacted CardCash.com to straighten it out. They said Too Bad So Sad. You are past your 45 day guarantee. So I'm out $179 and I had to give my son $200 that they cheated me out of.
I bought a $100 Panera gift card, used it for some minor purchases, and with over $90 left on it, it came up with a $0 balance. Cardcash promotes this fraudulent use of the gift card by washing their hands of their responsibility. I will never use them again.
I bought $300 gift cards. Later I found that those cards were purchased with fraud.
Lost $300. Dont buy from these guys. They don't take responsibility for the stuff they sell on their site.
Answer: Thanks for bringing up the CardCash BBB rating, we appreciate the opportunity to explain why we have this rating. A few months ago we got into a dispute with a seller who defrauded us. We decided to take this matter to court rather than simply resolve the complaint that seller filed with the BBB. As this complaint remains open while the case is adjudicated, the BBB has downgraded our rating. Once this matter is resolved we expect our rating to more accurately reflect our commitment to excellent customer service and business practices.
Answer: Negative comments because they deserve them. They have the best deals because they have the most scammers selling them cards. That's why they only have a 45 guarantee. The majority of their cards will be zerod out by the 45 days or right after. Then, you are screwed. They WON'T refund your money after that.
Answer: Yes, my brother had a bad transaction with Cardcash. He put a hold through PayPal and Cardcash had to respond and then quickly resolved the problem. Cardcash is the only gift card company that I have dealt with constantly sells bad cards. I know only use giftcardrescue, cardpool, or monster giftcard. Never had a problem with them.
Answer: We have a 45 day guarantee for such occurrences. Please reach out to our claims department so we can assist you. Thanks!
Answer: Of course! You are covered by our 45 day guarantee. Please email [email protected] so we can resolve it immediately. Have a wonderful day!
Answer: They don't. Don't do it. They make it seem like this is a better, faster option but they've taken my $150 cards for over a week now and have not responded or provided me the MasterCard info. Please stay away and report to BBB as this is a common practice of theirs.
