I bought a gift card and when I went to use it, I was told it was no good. When I contacted card cash they would not give me a refund and said that there is nothing they could do, but they sold me a fraud card. Stay away or take a change of paying for nothing
I purchased $100 of gift cards to Cracker Barrel. Nowhere in the description does it state that they can not be used online at CrackerBarrel.com. I requested a refund and Card Cash refused. Very poor customer service and deceptive description.
I've had so many cards that didn't work. I thought I was being smart and checking the balances online right after I bought them (so I could go back to cardcash within the 45 day warranty if needed). I also started using part of the card right away so I would get a store receipt showing the remaining balance -- STILL cards ended up declined (0 balance) when I went back to use them later on. The stores are unable to help because the cards were purchased from a third party vendor.
I'm so fed up with this company. I tell everyone I can Do Not buy from this company.
Bought several cards from them, checked online and they were good but when tried to use them at stores they were invalid. Company said they cannot help. Poor business practice on their part. Ripofff.
I've had countless cards bought from cardcash.com show up as "invalid", "$0 balance", or "stolen" when I try to use them. DON'T BUY FROM THIS SITE. Why do you think there are so many 1-star reviews?
Bought a $50 Panda gift card from them. Had zero balance when I tried to use it a several months later. Checked the transactions with Panda and $35 was used 2 days prior to my order and $15 was used 2 days after. Neither CardCash nor Panda would take responsibility. Apparently, CardCash does not check card balances prior to posting.
I lost almost $200... and they are not helping. Their card is not good for 30 minutes. I wasn't able to use to it and their customer service didn't help. Rip-off... Fraud whatever you want to say. DONT buy from them.
I purchased an Arby's gift card in June of 2017. I attempted to use it and could not. Eventually, I talked with Arby's and they said the card was cancelled due to FRAUD. They said to talk to the seller. Seller said, tough luck. They said I should expect a % of cards from them to be bad! Wow! Even with the fraud cancellation from Arby's there was no recourse other than, "tough luck".
I purchased 3 best western gift cards from them supposedly $150 total, all 3 have zero balance! Also a panda express for $25, only has $1.62 on it!
Bought a Dunkin Donuts card from them. I was aware that I couldn't register it to my DD account but what I didn't know is that the original owner still had it registered to theirs. As it turns out, we both ended up using the cards simultaneously - The original owner with their phone app and I with the printed out e-card. They don't require the original owner to "unregister" their card. They refused to give me a refund. A waste of $50
I have found the perfect place guys, if you are hoping for no help and getting nothing in return, but your money taken away.
They flagged me for high security, which I understand we want to make sure everything is safe and secure, I then proceeded to ask why I was a high security risk. My reasoning behind this was if they needed more proof of who I was or whatever I wanted to provide it to them.
My answer I received what they had no idea and couldn't help me, to basically go away in other words. This of course was after I tried a few different times to process the gift cards because they told me to do so. Every time they took $2, so in total $10. I know that doesn't sound like a lot, but when you are a student living on student wages, this of course sucks big time.
All in All, if you are looking for a place that will be no help to you, take your money and you get nothing in return, this is your place to be. Terrible...
I purchased a $ 100 Francescas gift card for my wife and there was a zero balance. I checked it the day after I received it. I now see there are many other reviews telling people to just stay away... unfortunately I know now. They said my refund will take 3-5 business days, I'll make sure that it happens.
I purchased a gift card for $150 and it ended up having $0. I found out after the 45 day period and they are unwilling to work with me.
I filed against BBB. Do not buy from them. Check your cards! Who else wants to sue?
Over the course of the past year, I've purchased six different gift cards (three for Lowe's, one for Chili's and two for Dunkin Donuts) that had no available balance to use on them. The three cards for Lowe's totaled nearly $1,000. Individuals responding from the company are never apologetic - simply state that a refund will be issued. This company needs to either come up with a better verification process or shut down its site.
I am going to sue Cardcash for Fraud and Violation of the CA Consumer Protection Statutes. I bought a $500 Marriott card that didn't work 5 months after I bought it. They relied on their 45 day warranty, about which I question its enforceability. I also think that (at least recklessly) buy cards from third parties knowing that the cards could be problematic. Anyone else thinking about suing them?
Wish I read these reviews before I made purchase on Card Cash.
I lost all gift card value after 45 days since I never had a chance to use it.
Customer service's response to me claim"Please be advised that we have received this claim beyond our 45 day buyer protection period." and "Buying from any Marketplace involves the classical Risk vs Reward decision. Consumers shopping on a marketplace can save up to 35% but will at times receive cards that are invalid or have a balance discrepancy. This is not something we can control. However, in order to make our customers feel a bit more comfortable we offer a 45 day buyer protection guarantee. CardCash encourages all of its customers to use the cards within that time period and if they encounter an issue to immediately let us know."
However, I don't get this experience when I shop on eBay or other gift cards places.
I purchased a $100 gift card that I never used. Like countless others, shortly after the 45-day period, the gift card funds disappeared. Cardcash hides behind the 45-day guarantee. I urge all who have been scammed by them to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau so that Cardcash can stop stealing their customer's money.
I used cardcash once after Holiday 2016. Entered multiple gift cards on website and awaited confirmation that they have verified the amounts.
After they confirmed the amounts successfully, they sent me the combined amount of the cards via physical check. All good.
9 months later i receive a collections letter from an agency Card Cash uses. I called card cash support and they said they had tried to contact me with the correct phone number on file. Nope.
They said someone used the gift cards I sold to them. One was even at 0 before they received it, which makes no sense because I entered them online and they verified the amounts and shredded the cards.
I advised them they may have an internal security problem and they responded that big companies dont have security problems... clearly they have never heard of Target or Home Depot.
Dont use this service unless you want to get a letter nine months later saying you owe them money. And I most definitely wouldnt put any bank or debit card info on thier site.
Crooks.
Why would I call them or write this review if I was some thug, that turned around and used the cards after they were entered on thier site. I thought they were empty after I entered them anyway.
Companies like this are the reason your information gets stolen by someone and used in a different country.
Dont use it.
We purchased some gift cards with them at the end of May and got all delivered in early June. We checked all the balance, and found out that the only one that had issue was a physical gc from Yogurtland, which they refunded. Everything else delivered by email with a pdf file showed the right balance.
We didnt use the 2 $100 GCs with Red Lobster until last weekend as we didnt have time. After a very happy meal we were told both GCs were closed with 0 value! We called the customer service right away and were told that both cards were used in June in Florida, which is just shocking as we live in CA!
We contacted Cardcash and were told they wouldnt do anything as it was beyond their 45-day protetion period, which is just rediculous as the cards were used even within 30-days! Also they put big letter at their website of Lifetime Buyer Protection Guarantee on New eGift Cards and I was never informed that they were selling used GCs and if I knew it I wouldnt have even bought from them. After seeing all the others review I found out this is totally a fraud company! DO NOT EVER PURCHASE ANY GCs from CARDCASH!
I purchased 300 dollars worth of hotel gift cards from the hyatt and get to the hotel and they have a zero balance and they do not wish to give me my money back? They are a huge ripoff company and you don't need to do business with them
Answer: Thanks for bringing up the CardCash BBB rating, we appreciate the opportunity to explain why we have this rating. A few months ago we got into a dispute with a seller who defrauded us. We decided to take this matter to court rather than simply resolve the complaint that seller filed with the BBB. As this complaint remains open while the case is adjudicated, the BBB has downgraded our rating. Once this matter is resolved we expect our rating to more accurately reflect our commitment to excellent customer service and business practices.
Answer: Negative comments because they deserve them. They have the best deals because they have the most scammers selling them cards. That's why they only have a 45 guarantee. The majority of their cards will be zerod out by the 45 days or right after. Then, you are screwed. They WON'T refund your money after that.
Answer: Yes, my brother had a bad transaction with Cardcash. He put a hold through PayPal and Cardcash had to respond and then quickly resolved the problem. Cardcash is the only gift card company that I have dealt with constantly sells bad cards. I know only use giftcardrescue, cardpool, or monster giftcard. Never had a problem with them.
Answer: We have a 45 day guarantee for such occurrences. Please reach out to our claims department so we can assist you. Thanks!
Answer: Of course! You are covered by our 45 day guarantee. Please email [email protected] so we can resolve it immediately. Have a wonderful day!
Answer: They don't. Don't do it. They make it seem like this is a better, faster option but they've taken my $150 cards for over a week now and have not responded or provided me the MasterCard info. Please stay away and report to BBB as this is a common practice of theirs.
