Last year I decided to do online payment with my payment method and here the bank (I used for the payment) calls say that there were fraudulent charges to the account and someone was trying to access numbers to the card but the bank wouldn't let them, so had to get new bank card, the call representatives are foreign and I believe one them tried stealing money from the the bank account, glad our life savings wasn't in the account
And here recently I did a online payment on the credit card it went thru in 24 hours both my credit card and bank process payment it went thru, it posted... it's been five freaking days since my available credit was loaded, when I make a payment and it's posted available credit is immediate, this morning at 12am I logged into my capital one account and it's available credit was my credit line (I paid off the entire credit limit) so I decided to pay bills so my available credit went back to zero when I tried paying it. Like what the hell do I have someone stealing my funds or a hacker...I ONLY do phone payment because online PAYMENTS are not secure
I paid my bill online with capital one and it a day later it took and auto payment for the same amount. The can't refund the money online they have to send me a paper check that I receive in 10 business days. What a joke. Will never use them again because I don't trust a place that bills you twice. By by capital one.
In todays age i find it ridiculous that you can't make a payment on your credit cards with a debit card, it is inconvenient and annoying. Every other card company i deal with you can easily do so, when so many companies have breaches of security and information is stolen i should not have to have every bank account i own on capitol one as a payment method. As well there are very few actual bank locations available in most areas for deposits and withdrawals. Do yourself a favor and use a bank that has available locations as well as credit card companies that do not make it impossible to use a debit card from another bank to make your payments.
Such a useless service, no response, automated call don't want to resolve your problem, App does not respond well
For one I know they closed my account so I have to reply but tell me why I can't cause it says I already have account but when I call to get help I get transferred everytime like now I'm rethinking if I really want to have a credit card though them when they can't help me with this like it's horrible service no help it seems like they don't know what to do or know how to it sucks cause I really wanted a credit card but I don't think I'll be getting a credit card though anyone cause I don't want to go though that issue like y'all suck y'all need to learn how to help the customers
THIS HAVE DO WITH THERE CHECKING ACCOUNT AND ZELLE STAY AWAY. Open account in aug couple Zelle came in tell me fraud when went to another Zelle account i own they close account there answer feed back I Zelle to much only three transaction less than 600.00 not enough deposit they are a joke.Look at there rating biggest they are you got this much customer not happy its your organization.
There's no way not to use F words while talking about capital one Bank and their reps and their business. Totally piece of $#*!.
Capital one is either very inept or they are near criminal in charging interest on your account. I had mine on auto pay. They didn't pay it and charged me interest. I had to call them to ask why my acct wasn't paid. I then went ahead and paid in full since they didn't can't they still charge me interest. This company needs to be reported for fraud and making money from interest of people that pay their accounts in full. Very sad that we have companies doing this to customers.
I asked how long it would take from my account to be credited. I was told one week. I asked why? They couldn't tell me why. I asked for a supervisor after I asked them for their first and last name and employee ID number. They said that they could only give me their first name they could not give me any other information I said I just had to give you my first and last name my Social Security in my phone number my address, my email and the last four of my car number but you can't tell me your last name and your badge number and or transfer me to your supervisor? Shady
On Feb 5 2023 at 235 am I called 911 after witnessing a single ski doo accident. I did everything but the gentleman passed on me! It's only been 7 months! I fell behind on payments and not just this card place because I didn't return to work. I finally got back to work and have started to catch up! But falling behind a few months is not a 1 week process. I was told if I clean up the card I would get it activated again! 6 different representatives said that and all calls are recorded! I called and they said they won't be doing that. I will never get it back. Then why did I clear it up. I could have used that money elsewhere. I don't need this stress and I don't even know what to think. I feel lied too! Honestly look at all the reviews they are all no stars. I am going to the news and I am playing all the recordings
I opened a Capital one venture card. They sent it in the mail and I activated the card. When I tried to us it with a merchant they returned the card to me stating "Declined" Prior to the use of the card there were no emails, letters or text messages telling me they deactivated the card. When I called the customer service office, they said the fraud department wanted a driver's license picture social security card picture, utility bill with my name and address and three months of my entire checking account showing job deposits for income verification, but yet the card had already been given to me. They want to review how i spend my money that was why they asked for three months of checking records. They recorded my call but would not let me record at my end, knowing what they do to the public would probably trigger a lawsuit. They are plenty of other institutions that don't violate your person identity the way they did mine, consumer beware!
As a long time Capital One card holder, I can say that their service is below average competition, to say the least. DO NO TRUST THEM.
After have been a victim of fraud, they refused to help me and hardly damaged my credit records even after calling a representative that actually acknowledged that my only single late payment in more than ten years of perfect payment history, wasn't intentional, but a result of a glitch of THEIR system. ALL other of my creditors did outstanding on helping me through those difficult times, and were very careful not to hurt my credit records… SHAME ON YOU CAPITAL ONE, now I see why so many negative reviews and a score below 2 stars.
BTW, I gave them more than two years to fix it before writing this review.
NO, I do NOT recommend Capital One at all.

I have been a customer for 6 years with a excellent credit score and no bad credit history, I have been asking for an upgrade for my card from last 1 year and they wont give it to me. I called 4 times in a year and they claim they can only give me what is on promotion but they cannot upgrade me to a different card. Bad banking experience and don't care about their loyal customers.
I would not recommend them to any one. Stay away from them.
I tried to validate my card - you would think that doing it once in their app and once on my computer in response to their email I would be all set - but no...while the other two approaches worked via a text message, the the online customer service could knot send a validation code to my phone - five separate calls failed to resolve their problem - a horrible experience reminiscent of the plodders back in the 2000 who could make the internet work. I definitely do not recommend them - the people at customer service just read a script and are unable to problem solve. Imaging if you had a dispute with them - that would be like stepping into finance hell.
Had $0.00 dollar balance, was trying to do simple name change. After multiple calls, they want me to mail in all copies of credit card and drivers license and social security card and court paperwork. I expressed I did not feel safe after I already faxed this paperwork in, and the could not confirm they even got it. Strong language barrier did not help the customer service reps on the first two calls. The last call the customer service rep was like that is our policy too bad. I have good credit I will go elsewhere. Sorry service is not Capital Ones business. I stuck with Capital One because they were my first card. Over 15 years a customer means nothing I guess.
Absolutely the worst company to ever deal with. Don't ever get involved you will regret it. They don't deserve a one star review.
Called a month ago and cancelled my card spoke to a non English person who told me everything was set. This month I get another bill so I called and got some upitty supervisor who didn't do anything but tell me it was my fault so I asked for his boss and he said her name was Pam but he wouldn't let me speck to her or give me her number. Keep telling me he knew how to do his job but would not cancel my card. I'd like for Pam to call me.
This is the worst credit card company ever they a thief I regret that's the credit card I sign up with. They nothing but a thief my balance is 2000$. 76$ minimum fees and I pay a 300$. And the minimum was 76$. And they still charge me a 50$ some they such a scammer I purchased for 26$ knowing I was going to pay them back today due to after i pay them and used it and they still charge a whole 50$ some capital one is nothing but trash and they have the audacity to offer me more credit card and loan Y'all must be crazy
I screwed up once paying on my card I accidentally hit the wrong account to pay with amd the canceled my accounts even though I fixed the problem right away. Unbelievable
Long story short poor management they all about money late fees are ridiculous and the customer service is terrible!
Answer: No really I can't I mean from the very beginning they said they mailed it and then a week later when I called and they had not mailed it yet when I checked my bank they take the money out of my bank and then tell me they're going to hold the money for 7 days to make sure the money is there I think they take the customers for granted in a big bad way
Answer: From my experience, they appear to be nothing but a shady scam bank.
Answer: They offered nice rewards back It sounded more impressive than it is. Big mistake.
Answer: This is the same issue I'm having with Capital One. They make mistakes and then drag their feet and act like nothing is wrong.
