Capital One Dispute Dept. had me fill out 2 separate dispute forms on two different days then they denied my dispute without any opportunity to respond and correct the denial that gave a broad generic reason "lacked information" for denial after uploading 8 documents showing the service provider charged me for an add-on service that I did not select, want or knew because the website masked the fee until payment was made. Experiences with other credit card companies never did this kind of behavior. When I finally was able to speak to a dispute supervisor after speaking to two other agents who could not help me, the supervisor was rude and had no interest in helping to correct the situation, just talked over me and provided irrelevant long winded explanations until I finally gave up and decided to just end the call and my relationship with Capital One. I'm now going to use one of my other credit cards that have always done a good job correcting merchants wrong doing.

Do not rely on Capital One credit cards for international travel. They will inevitably flag one of your transactions as invalid. The problem is, if you use international SIM cards and refuse to pay the high rates to have a US phone service active, they are only capable of two stage authentication through your US phone number. I spent hours on the phone with these idiots because I had my entire vacation booked on Capital One and once they begin to decline charges all of my hotel charges were not valid. They will not take your US phone number off the account and will not accept your foreign SIM for two stage authentication. Therefore, you are helpless to use their app or review your charges. They are also incapable of having notes on your account which say where you will be and therefore allow those charges to be accepted. I will never again rely on Capital One for international travel.

Can you believe these sobs want to charge me to make a payment by phone. Even if I use the automatic system they want to charge me a fee. The fee goes higher if you use one of their reps to make the payment. You can't pay them online you got to jump through hoops they want to turn your payment process into a profit center

I opened a secured account to help rebuild my credit. And as an existing capital one 360 account holder, I would have figured I was past that fraud detection scam, yet here we are. Had I known I would have been treated like some common criminal, I would have told them to go $#*! themselves. I will not tolerate their slum dog tactics and scams. Nice try Hassim or whatever your real name is. Next time, try using a scammer in America. Might be believable then. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS BS. AVOID CAPITAL ONE LIKE THE CORONA VIRUS. AND WHAT'S WORSE, THEY DIDN'T EVEN HAVE THE DECENCY TO TELL ME THAT MY SENSITIVE INFO HAD BEEN COMPROMISED. BREAKING LAWS LEFT AND RIGHT, BUT THEY TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS LIKE THE COMMON CRIMINAL. SHAME ON YOU

Capital one was my first credit card ever 12 years ago. I used my card daily for those 12 years and had Zero late payments for those 12 years. Today I try to use my card and learn that my account has been closed. Why was it closed? They won't tell me. All they say is I violated a condition of my terms. I did have a return payment where I attempted to use my LGFCU bank account to make a payment, but then made a payment with my normal account and everything was fine. No idea to this day why that payment returned.

I have spent the better part of this morning being told by this "bank" that it is up to me to fix all the issues they caused by not posting two payments that were sent to them in a timely manner. We have been paying electronically through our bank for years. All of a sudden they cannot "find" our Sept and Oct payments. First call I made I was told by "customer service" it must be an issue with our bank, call them - nothing we can do. Ok, called our bank and they confirmed the September and October payments were delivered and cashed by Capitol One - errors on CO side. Call them back. Get same speech I first heard this morning - how they are recording our conversation. Good, so am I. Told by customer service if I record their conversation they cannot talk to me due to technical issues. BS - more probably due to liability issues. Then I am told I have to send them proofs of our payments AND it was up to me to fix my credit that they ruined, by contacting the reporting services they sent the bad info to. This is Capitol One's idea of customer service. They are disgraceful. #BJs. #BJ representing you too. YELP, Capitol One deserves rating of 0!

I had a huge dispute with AirBnb for a reservation that I did not use due to severe issues of the place, so first time I had AirBnb refusing to refund me for a reservation that I did not use at all. After 2 months, I contacted the bank Capital One, so they could refund me the money Airbnb refused to refund. It has been 3 months now and the bank refused to honor the claim and just do the right thing. Stay away from this bank, they are a joke

Applied for this credit card and unbeknownst to me Venmo nor Chime are NOT accepted as a form of payment. My payment was returned with absolutely no explanation. Had to Google search the issue as explanation on Capital One's site is nowhere listed in "Help" nor a "Live customer service" to assist. The site does not recognize the word Venmo payment nor Chime payment in the AI bot customer help. What an inconvenience to not be able to use an outside service to simply pay a credit card bill. One must be an account holder at one of the many traditional banks with gauging high fees. This credit card is useless.
Get with it Capital One.

Cash advance
October 12, 2023

Ive been a capital one card holder for years, four months ago I made a $200 cash advance. Since then I'm being charged $5 a month cash advance fee. I've tried to pay off the cash advance to stop the fee but customer service says it can't be done and this monthly fee will continue until the entire card balance is paid off. Beware of Capital One they're not the friendly company you think they are.

After my mother passed I tried to close her Capital One accounts as the estate executor, I have all legal documents, including the probate info. I have always been an authorized user on the accounts but not the beneficiary. For her other bank institution accounts I simply provided the legal documents as executor and was provided with a check for the closed account within a few days.

With Capital One it has been over two months, they only respond by email because I'm told the estate department does not have a phone. Every few days (or weeks) they respond and do not have any additional information, they continue to refuse to speak on the phone. All of the estate money has been locked in this account while Capital One takes their sweet time with no sense of urgency to process the closure.

To get an email reply now I have to call in and submit a complaint to a manager, then within about a day they will respond by email with no useful updates. It's insulting. I would not ever recommended using Capital One for checking or savings accounts, they are the worst bank I have ever dealt with.

HIGH RISK
October 9, 2023

After accessing customer service to ask a question, the agent "seth" canceled my card and kept telling me that he can't send the verification link to my new email even though it was changed back in August. Now I am required to fix all issues he has caused which is impossible to do when I am not aware of everything he has done and nobody is willing to help. I have spoken with the credit bureaus and explained that my conversation with "seth" was sounding very different from the other times that I contacted customer service and they put a freeze which I am so thankful for, as since that day there has been 4 attempts at getting a loan using my information. Which conveniently "seth" had access to all of my information including my credit report and social insurance number. I had no problems with customer service until he was the agent who I was connected to and was rude from the stat.i can't find any information on how to solve this issue and I'm not even able to get a replacement card even though it was not of my doing to have it canceled. So be careful when speaking with customer service as they can and will do whatever they want to and you will be the only person held accountable for the problem caused by a company employee.

Not helping people
October 8, 2023

I was really very satisfied with capital one until I canceled my card due to a money transfer from my account. That's when the bad dreams started. My new bank card that they sent to Turkey has been missing for 1 month, there are no withdrawals and no remittances without a card, different applications receive commissions. There are barcodes in telephone banking in general in the world, but there is also no capital one. They don't know which postal service they sent the mail with, there is no tracking number. I have been begging for money from everyone for a month and I have been calling the bank from Turkey. They transfer it from one person to another, and sending a link and taking a passport photo makes me go to hell. I've taken it 50 times and the one I sent says it was successful, but their system görmüyor.ve it closes after 45 minutes without a result, leaving me with a high phone bill.

Yes Capitol One took the seller's side in my dispute. I asked Capitol One to supply me the tracking number, the date the items were supposed to be delivered and the delivery company that made the delivery. Since I did not receive said items I thought that they would get that information to me as I was requesting. Instead they put me into collections and ruined my credit scores. DO NOT USE CAPITOL ONE AND IF YOU ARE USING THEM I SUGGEST THAT YOU RETHINK YOUR DECISION! They are trying to charge me for items that I did not receive and won't supply me with delivery proof as I have asked them to do on numerous occasions. I GIVE THEM LESS THAN ONE STAR!

Making payments and then they are sent back to my bank account
Customer Support can't tell me anything but I had insufficient funds.
But my exact response was why would I try to make payments if I have insufficient funds and couldn't afford them. It's a literal nightmare and lie the app says one thing customer service says another robot on phone before agent picks up says payment was processed and don't have anything due pleases go anywhere else

I am not able to make my credit card payments and I expressed my financial hardship. I told them I would make my next month's payment so that my credit score wouldn't go to $#*!, but it is really hard to make this high minimum payment and I wanted to know what to do with my future payments. They refused to help me because my account wasn't behind. I can't wait to pay this card off and be done. NEVER AGAIN.

At a loss...
October 3, 2023

Capital One seemed like a great credit card option for me. Right until you have an issue. I need a new card. I have a trip coming up and was told a new card was sent but I never received it. For the last week I have tried everything I can think of to get to customer service. They only have automated options and those appear to be malfunctioning. I called on several phones and the AI is not recognizing inputs so they disconnect me. Their chat is AI. And it would appear their FB account is all AI. If you are a customer who needs help, you are out of luck. I assure you, they do not care.

This is the second time I've wired money with capital one needing the money to arrive ASAP but capital one waits until the very last seconds of the business day to process. I have sent wire transfer with my other bank that took 30 minutes to process and is received within that timeframe. When I question why they take so long to process wire transfer compared to other banks, they don't have an answer for me. Their only answer is they have until 6:45pm EST to process. It shouldn't take the entire business day to receive a freaking wire. They are horrible!

Transfer of money from 1 account to another takes 4 days also when other banks do it next business day. So they keep your money for 4 days is ridiculous. Switched back to my regular bank.

I don't know what "24/7" means to the inbreed offspring's of whoever runs this dumpster fire of a bank, however when I have an urgent issue, locked out of my account need help ASAP, I don't want to hear "Lol sorry we're closed, your call means nothing to us and we won't return it so kys" from the customer service line that is supposed to be 24 hours 7 days a week.

Genuinely worthless in every way
