No customer protection
January 21, 2022

Don't think to be backed up by the bank if for some reason you used their card to pay for services or products and you don't get what you paid for.
I bought some Lifepo4 batteries from Alibaba which came banged up and not performing like advertised and after over a month disputing the transaction with Alibaba and trying to get a refund by sending back the batteries or getting a replacement, I opened a dispute using Capital one who dropped it because I couldn't provide all these:
*Second Opinion.
*Proof of Return/Cancellation.
*Any additional information related to your dispute
Response to the Merchant's Documentation.
Where am I to get a second opinion about batteries that are banged up and not performing like they should with pictures to prove my saying, I even offered to send a video as proof testing the batteries?
How am I to send a proof of Return/Cancelation if Alibaba Website is not cooperating at the first place?

Bogus charge
January 20, 2022

I was charged a cash advance fee 3 times in my credit card. I spoke with a supervisor that would not remove it because of the type of payment that i used the card for. The supervisor wouldn't even work with me on this. I plan to take this further

I opened a new account (Checking and saving). Customer service takes forever to answer a call (forever), many times the communication break and you have to call again to do whatever you want to do again. You cannot transfer your money to an external account, the only way you have is a wire transfer ($30 no matter what), but you can´t do a wire transfer until 60 days have passed since you opened your account. So I can´t transfer my money if I have any business, their credit card service is horrible (810 points and they rejected an application, and when you call to reconsider their answer is no answer, good for them).

In less than a week and already thinking to change my bank account, when you have a problem is when you see if a bank is providing a good service, and Capital One has a terrible customer service and appreciation.

Worst customer service
January 18, 2022

Worst customer service. They don't waive any fees. Not even once a year as a curtesy to the customer. Same phone number to resolve any issue. Supervisors are not authorized to do anything a regular agent wouldn't already do. I had my account for 16 years and I never received a credit increase. I don't presume they would be very helpful with any fraud either.

I had a capital one credit card which I loved using. Lost my job due to Covid and missed some payments (4) over a year period. Next thing I know my account gets closed down for Fraud according to them. Received a letter in the mail. So if you have card don't lose your job or get sick!

This used to be such a great company. I have had 2 cards with them for the past several years. Recently, the people in customer service have an accent that I quite don't understand, they talk over you and you're placed on hold for very long time periods.
I paid off one of my cards last month and contemplating closing it for good.

Cap 1 Banking
January 16, 2022

It is horrible. Transactions stay in pending status forever and some even disappear only to come out of your account at a much later date. And the direct deposit schedule is totally unreliable! As of 1/15/2022 I have been with Capital One Banking for 3 months and since day 1 my payroll direct deposits have been hit and miss every time. Sometimes 2 days early in my account at midnight or 9 am or around 4 pm. Sometimes 1 day early, sometimes on scheduled payday and sometimes after scheduled payday. I would not recommend Cap 1 banking to anyone, it is very unreliable.

Capital One always takes your money they freeze your funds and maybe they should think about that because PayPal is under investigation and possibly a lawsuit for the same thing.

Europcar overcharged me $202 on a rental in Iceland. I did not catch it (the overcharge) bec they billed me in the local currency. Plus, I trusted them to only charge me what they had promised to charge me. (Silly me.) Europcar would not respond to my calls and emails, so I disputed through Capital One Visa. I thought it would be a no-brainer. Instead, it was a big waste of time. I submitted to CapOne all docs necessary to prove the overcharge. Cap One provided inane form letters in response. I'm switching Visa banks over this.

Send me an exclusive offer. I was denied even though I have an 805 score on equifax and an 815 on transunion. I also have 80k a year income with only 1000/month mortgage for a DTI of only 15%.

This is our first and last experience with Capital One. CUSTOMER BEWARE. We have an excellent credit history and were approved for very low credit limit. During the holidays we meet that so paid the statement balance two weeks early to avoid issues with direct billing. Capital One says payment will be processed within three business days. Payment cleared our bank the following day but our direct payments are being declined. Thirty five minutes on the phone with customer service and we are told they won't process any transactions until 8 days after they have withdrawn the funds from our account. Even spoke to a manager and told simply that is just the way it is. Apparently customers who have excellent credit and pay full statement balance is not what they want. The absolute worse customer service I have ever received from a credit card company.

Be careful they Lie
January 7, 2022

They say it will not effect your credit, first lie. Second lie is when they say you are pre approved. This company preys on the vulnerable and under delivers. Steer clear of these crooks

The worst company ever. I was trying to make payment for over $10k. Used a different bank account. Made a mistake. Had couple return payments, but then finally paid my balance in full after fixing my bank account. Mind these payments were not even due, I just made bunch of purchases and wanted to pay them off the same day. Few days I came to know that my account is closed due to multiple return payments. And they voided my $150k points that I was going to use to book my honeymoon trip! Called, asked if anything could be done and nothing! They just don't care about losing the customer. My AMEX would'vE never done this!

There is no way you can call or go online and make a payment on their credit card unless you're willing to give them access to your savings checking and money market account biggest horse crap practice I've ever seen and they are a credit card company but they won't except the debit card or credit card to make a payment. Sounds shady Business practice. Every other credit card I got I can make a payment with my debit card and pay the account off every month. They do not try to force you to allow them uncontrolled access to your personal accounts But they don't trust other banking institutions to except their payments

I traveled to overseas in December 2021 and notified Capital One that I will be using my credit card.
My nightmare started when I used the card to purchase the gifts for my family.
My transaction was declined and when I called the customer service I was asked to upload my driver lincence and I was told the card will be released between 7-10 days.
I had this credit card for 20+ years and never ever had late payments with credit score in 800.
Capital One SUCKS and were failure to provide me finnincial needs when I totally rely on them.
If I have an option, I will give them 0 star.
Don't use this card.

Capital one use to put their customers first. This is not so anymore. They offer no real protection against fraud any more. All a company has to do is lie with no proof of doing what they claim and capital one will give them your money. And then tell you tough luck no matter what proof you may have. I use to use them for everything. I will not be doing that anymore. It is sad really they use to be such a good company. They are no longer there for their customers.

CapitalOne
December 30, 2021

For CapitalOne if you try customer service at *******825 or any numbers listed on your card. Expect to talk to someone with an accent you can't understand! Your customer rep. Has no authority to do anything for you. Once they put you on hold, plan on waiting a half hour or so before they answer. Remember the whole company makes it money off of a bait and switch for it's incentives program. Do business with a bank better than CapOne. CapOne is so bad at customer service (according to the BBB) that it ranks about 20th in banking. Get yourself another bank! Get yourself another card. They are selling your information and not paying you for it.

They don't charge you if you never add money to your account. I always get early direct deposit and they said bc of Holliday (New Years) I won't get it til maybe Monday! That's almost a whole extra week and not even the accurate date bc they don't know. My coworkers got theirs but of course not this bank. The representatives talk over you and when they hear any back round noise they say" your call is being recorded" like damn my son is asking me a question! Then the representative said I answered your questions anything else? Like no you didn't answer my questions. Also I ordered a new debit card about a few weeks ago and I didn't cancel it just wanted a new one and they cancel my account til I receive my new one. They did it twice this month where I basically have no way to use my money. Christmas draining my account and relying on my pay day and now they don't know when I will get paid. Thanks for absolutely nothing and being inconsiderate
