I've been with this credit card company since January of last year. Here it is going on another year and on time payments never missed a payment! I mean and always pay a week before my due date. Still no credit increase. They are a waste of time
I had accounts in the past or currently have accounts in the following banks, Chase, Capital One, Key, Wells Fargo, TD, M&T, City, Apple, Discover Bank, Green Dot, MVB, Charle Schwab.
And the bank I am using the most, and happy with is Capital One Bank, for checking and even for credit cards!
For some reason Capital One stopped my online transaction. They emailed me saying potential fraud and payment was stopped. I clicked yes for being me and no fraud. However they still stopped the payment. This was a hard to get Christmas gift from a major retail store for under $60. I now have lost out on it. What is the point of the email if I even answer yes it's a safe transaction if your still stopping it? Unbelievable.
I have insructed another financial intititution to transfer my retirement IRA account from CapitalOne to them since CapitalOne has announced that they are resigning as retirement custodian and by Jan 10,2022 I have to transfer my money somewhere else.
However, for the whole month Capitalone is not processing the transfer request from that another institution that I instructed to rollover my IRA to claiming that signature is missing on the form. But it is A LIE. The signature is there both mine and the new bank representatives. All is good on my side.
This is very frustrating and stressful.
I am now seeing this is as a tacit agreement between CapitalOne and Millenium Trust to get hold of clients money against their wishes.
I have consulted my lawyer and he will be filing a lawsuit in case my IRA account is moved to Millenium Trust even though I requested it to be transferred to a different financial institution.
And now I am finding out that Millenium Trust Company was a few years ago involved in a ponzi scheme with IRA accounts and there were class action law suits. This is a disaster.
I am sending letters to the SEC and will raise this with my contacts in the media who will follow up on this and make it newsworthy. I am not letting them touch my money. Enough is enough.
I really wish I could get away from this bank it was better as ING. I receive disability and my account although they honor the drafts this is the results of not having enough money and banking. I've been giving it up like this for years. I'm so done.
If I could have given a zero I would have. On-line acct problem for 8 MONTHS! Rather than fix... Capitol One disabled the acct BUT SAID PAYMENTS MUST BE MADE OR LATE FEES WILL APPLY! Capitol One advised it is a known problem but DOES NOTHING TO FIX IT. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVE; ONLY EXCUSES. LOUSY ON-LINE ACCESS. POOR OVERALL! GETTING A DISCOVER CARD... so life can be easier. DO -> NOT<- USE CAPITOL ONE!
I hve been waiting for my card for almost 2 wks, no cash on hand, and i finally get one and it dosent match, no branch so hard to get cash. Thanks for ruining my Christmas i will be closing this account as soon as i get my card. Also will warn people about this, before giving personal banking maybe have a branch first instead of a thousand atms.
I had loan in April, bcause it was above the $10,000 amount they had to review the account. But they did not review the acount until november and close my account in december without telling the reason. DO NOT USE CAPITAL ONE BANKING SERVICES FOR NO REASON.
I've been a customer more than 10 years, have personal and business accounts, and up until a year ago or so I was a fan. But they outsourced several of their departments and don't seem to give a crap about their customers. They screwed up flagging a legitimate purchase on my business card and froze all our company's cards for several days requiring me to spend hours of my time to get them unfroze. Now they are rejecting my dispute of an improper charge on my personal account for a service not provided and it is clear they are not reading anything, or understanding anything, as they keep referring to it as a "good" that was "delivered" when it is a service the merchant canceled and did not provide. There are so many other better companies out there. I have already gotten an alternate business account and will be moving my personal accounts elsewhere as well. This company does not deserve my business anymore.,
I'm literally livid! Me and my husband have been banking with capital one for over 8 years. We had 2 different accounts plus a credit card for our business. We've never been negative or had a single issue til now. I deposited a check that wasn't signed on back so I thought I never deposited it because we always sign our checks. It was an honest mistake but they immediately locked us out of everything and after 53 phone calls and a trip to bank they said we can not bank there anymore because of one check! After 8 perfect years we deserved grace! Now we are having trouble withdrawing the remaining balance of our own money! Word of advice go to chase bank
Dealing with a Capital One "customer service" person is the most frustrating thing you will ever do in your life. It took over 4 hours on the phone with them to get my credit card activated. Save yourself the aggravation and go elsewhere.
I built up $356 rewards with the quicksilver capital one credit card. They they closed the account and kept the rewards. Called and complained for about 2 hours and said they would open an investigation and get back to me. Never heard anything. Not waiting hours on the phone to talk to a manager about it again. Canceled all my accounts and will spread the word about how never to use capital one again since they basically stole money from me. Their defense was that the contacted me before closing my account, but I didn't get anything. After it was closed and I lost the rewards I did get an email, but it was apparently too late then. I'll never get my mo way back. Never use capital one again for anything.
Horrible service! Long wait times, higher interest. Overall poor experience. They are fraudulent! Buyer beware!
Where do I begin? Had a issue with my business account. So I opened a new account and for well over a month I have not been able to use my account. I run a business and can no longer spend hours and hours on the phone while no one is able to help me. How is this possible that not one person can give me access to my new online account? Tiered of dealing with this and headed to BB&T and will open a new account!
No help from anyone sitting behind a desk. Must go to a cashier window to get anything done. No privacy.
Disappointed at how customers are treated I have informed the company for COVID issues before my accident and after the whole country was shut down for a year but that didn't stop this company from
Breathing down are necks and charging interest on a bill that over 50% of us where having trouble paying! Which to me is shameful and when I do get on my feet to try and make payments I am told that my account will still go in to collections since because of all of the above and the fact that since I couldn't make payments those interest fees kept my gap insurance from covering the remaining balance completely. This is just one big circle rip off and everyone involved should be ashamed of theirselves.
Capital one is the worst organization ever, with terrible customer service.
I make a payment by cheque and for 3 months the payment yet to be posted but the bank confirmed capital cash the cheque. I'm totally convinced they just generating more money for the account it doesn't take 3 months for a payment to be posted. I will not advise anyone to get a capital account no matter how desperate they are, Capital one organizations are thieves.
Worst customer service I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. For over a year I thought my title had been sent to my new state. It wasn't. So my tag expired and I got a ticket because Capital One uses a call center with morons that can't understand English. Today I called about the title and the idiot on the phone asked "you need make payment?" What a horrible excuse for customer service. Even if your life depends on it, do NOT do business with Capital One.
If you value your money, don't bank here. They made repeated, unauthorized, Zelle Money transfers from my account even after I contacted them about the fraudulent transfers. When I asked for the money to be returned, they refused & stated "they didn't find an error."
I can't believe what these guys get away with. They are heartless and ruthless. I am convinced they're run by organized crime. Charge $29 overlimit fee if month end service charges put you over your measly limit. When you phone to complain, someone who can barely speak or understand English, puts you on hold for 25 minutes to look into the matter then come back with the bad news, wasting all your time. To say Capital One sucks bigtime is an understatement. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND RIPOFF!
Answer: No really I can't I mean from the very beginning they said they mailed it and then a week later when I called and they had not mailed it yet when I checked my bank they take the money out of my bank and then tell me they're going to hold the money for 7 days to make sure the money is there I think they take the customers for granted in a big bad way
Answer: From my experience, they appear to be nothing but a shady scam bank.
Answer: They offered nice rewards back It sounded more impressive than it is. Big mistake.
Answer: This is the same issue I'm having with Capital One. They make mistakes and then drag their feet and act like nothing is wrong.
