Credit card closed!

I had two credit cards with capital one I tried to pay my cards with my American Express card but here's where it gets alittle weird bcs I was not told once about American Express not being able to pay on my bill, matter of a fact a employee told me to go ahead and try to reprocess my payment with American Express card which had already been refunded four times once in January on both cards and then again just now, but he didn't seem to mention that capital one doesn't accept American Express accounts to process payments, my account is now closed I'm at an all time loss with my credit score this is going to go way down due to just one of them being closed due to their miscommunication, yet alone I was not notified about the account with capital one being closed until today feb 22/22 which they had already shut it down telling me now all I need to do is try another bank and try to reprocess my payments so that way it can maybe be reopened. If I were you I'd choose someone that hasn't gotten a big head on their shoulders. Customer service sucked and the manager the manager tried blaming it on my Bank which is American Express, which if you look on your bank info usually it would show you if a payment was sent back my bank statement doesn't show any of the returned payments or the funds trying to be pulled from this account! So now my credit score suffers due to their mistake!

My credit card was restricted and I tried to reach customer service to get help. I talked Jesy who helped me out. She has an exceptional customer service skills. She was very kind, polite, attentive, patient and jovial. I was fully satisfied with the help I got!

If I could give them zero stars I would. The employees have no idea what they are doing not do they know how to provide CUSTOMER SERVICE! I tried to pay my credit card off on 3 different occasions only to get the run around that I have $. 15 in interest that I still need to pay in order for my account to ube at a $0 balance. This entire order is way to long to post so I'lljust say in the end no one would waive the. 15 even tho I am showing a zero balance. I'm just disgusted that a company this big would actually do this shame on capital one

Capitol one will give out your credit card Information without permission! I just had to cancel an account with almost $1,000 in charges because they wouldn't help. I did not approve a single transaction but they kept charging me.

When I called customer service the first person didn't understand what I was saying and kept putting me on hold. Once I got a manager he called me a liar and was rude and unhelpful

Now they can eat that $1000.

The credit card nightmare

Have 3 cards with them. I get a email to apply for business card. I did ask my annual sales I listed it. Card approved. Next thing I know ALL my account frozen for fraud investigation. Asked to see my bank statements for annual sales and I provided same day. Called some rude foreign customer service. Who would not help me and told me 10 business days they will respond. Ask to speak to her boss she said she is the boss. I been with this Mickey Mouse company 5 years not 1 late payment. Will be move along very soon.

Terrible

Worst credit card company out there. Have had to call customer service four times in three days because they don't know where an account number is on a statement. Don't do it, customer service reps can't understand English to Save their lives

Waste of energy

This CAPITAL ONE Credit Card company is horrible! I applied for credit and I make $******* a year and more as a travel nurse they only approved me for a secured lousy $200 I'm current with all my credit cards and yet capital one scars you after you file Bancrupcy. I discharged and had 3 other cards included in the discharge yet they won't approve me for any other card. I have used it responsibly for months and even have a credit. But they black ball you in any other cards and will keep you stuck with only a secured card as punishment. There is no reason why Capital one will not give me credit especially when I have a high income and nothing adverse other than a discharged Bancrupcy in 2020 yet there vindictive in giving appropriate credit cards because of discharged debt. I regret even bothering with this company. When u call they give you heavy accent customer service reps who read from a prompt. You will get no where and the run around. I really DESPISE this company and their vindictive tactics. I will give my son the card to play around with. Higher income customers deserve better! Shame on Capital One!

Great customer service

Today I had the greatest experience I ever with a representative of any type. This customer service representative went above and beyond her job to actually help me out today. Corianne provided some great information for me today. Not only do I have a great representative which I have a absolute great asset to Capital one in Corianne. The experience that I had with Corianne was like no other I have ever experience with any representative that ever spoke to over the phone. Her willingness to help and provide vital information and even chat with me show that she care for the Capital One customers. So today I'm given Corianne 5 stars If I can give her more I would. To say I had a very great experience with Corianne is a under statement *******@gmail.com

I have banked with Capital One when it was a local bank and have stuck with them through their growth. During this time I have noticed that their banking practices and ability to take money from small businesses and hold routine direct deposits for several days more after the funds have been deposited raises red flags.

In these business practices by Capital One, I am disappointed that I must now secure a new bank. I have lost trust and respect. Capital One has indicted that they have been rated number one by its customers for business banking. They do not have my vote.

My relationship with Capital One started with their Venture Card, which offers one of the most generous mileage programs out there, and no foreign transaction fees. Unfortunately, their Purchase Protection is practically non-existent. I had to open two merchant disputes in 3 months, and Capital One took the report, initially reversed the charge, but the minute the merchant lifted a finger to respond Capital One decides in their favor. It doesn't matter if the merchant fails to honor its own return policy; you're stuck what the purchase. Prior to Capital One I mostly used cards from another big banks, and felt that I had some actual protection when a dispute arose.

Horrible company!

They will withhold funds for no reason for weeks making what might be limited funds not available to you for weeks! I would give it a zero if i could be more accurate

I made a payment on Jan 1st and because they were going through "enhancements" it didn't post until the 4th! Drove my credit score down by 20 points. I talked to several people and supervisors over the last month and get a different story with each one I speak with. I'm very much rethinking keeping my card with their company, especially after reading quite disturbing reviews! It's totally unacceptable and frankly unbelievable that a company can function in this manner. Check out the CEO and I think that pretty much says it all! I'm done! Just need to put these automated charges on another card.

I have had a Capital One credit card for over 15 years. Never late on a payment! Bought a product online using my card with them and it came broken. Tried to return it but the retailer but they did not let me. I called them 4 times. Then, I talked to Capital One about disputing the charge (less than $200). After the dispute Capital One requested several documents which all were provided. Talked to a dispute manager and was told if I supply this additional documentation, it should not be a problem. Shortly afterwards, Capital One sided with the retailer/merchant. I was robbed by Capital One and the retailer. This was unacceptable. After all the years, I have moved my balance over to another card and will be closing my account with Capital One. They do not protect their customers from fraud, even when they waste your time helping them build a case against the merchant. Be aware of Capital One Credit Cards - YOUR PURCHASES ARE NOT PROTECTED.

DONT RECOMMEND USING CAPITAL ONE CREDIT CARDS! (02/04/22) I sat on the phone with customer service over an hour trying to handle a "late due" fee, explained that I just switched bank accounts and they pulled my scheduled payment out of my old bank account. They slapped on a very large late fee when I had already linked my new bank account with them. I was transferred to three different representatives on the phone, explained the situation with them, and not one of them could do ANYTHING about it. Highly disappointed with them and their customer service is the worst! Have used them for over 4 years but now I will be taking my business elsewhere and closing my account with them.

HORRIBLE SERVICE

I called Capital one to just try and get a new card sent to me because I lost my previous card. I went through 3 reps and no one could help due to 100 security questions that were asked and being put on hold several times. I was on the phone for over an hour and a half for them to tell me my personal information was not valid and I needed to call back in a few days and try again to receive another card. This has been the worse customer service I have ever dealt with!

By far the worst company to have a credit card with. I recently opened up a new account a couple of months with them for a credit card, I use my balance and always pay the full balance ahead of time before my due date, then I get told I have to wait about a week and a half before my balance is updated every time I call. That is absurd because I have a friend with the exact same card who is a newer customer than I am and her credit is automatically available within minutes of her payment. That doesn't make any sense whatsoever. On top of that you get agents who can barely speak English and you have a hard time trying to understand them and all I get told by the agent is that all I can do is wait and that they can't do anything about it. I have had the worst experience since I began here and will be canceling this card once this 12 month promotion is over.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. So first I use the mobile app to cash my check. It says 1 day it will be available. The next time I look it says 7 days. So I call customer support and ask why. They didn't have an answer and I even asked if they could cancel the transaction to no avail. The next morning I wake up to a notification that my account has been totally frozen so that I cannot access any money, not just the check on hold. So I call the number that is given on the website if your card is frozen. It sent me to fraud, where I met Connie a (supervisor). Connie started to regurgitate some nonsense about how the bank that the state uses can't verify the check for 7 days. (Which I can cash those checks in person instantly with no problem, so I know it's not the bank holding it.) So I politely asked to speak to her manager, to which I get the reply that "there are no other managers to speak to." I asked " At all of capital one there are not any mangers above you to speak to?" She confidently said that's correct. So after this terrible customer service, and wasting a day on the phone, I just asked to have them cancel my account with Capital One. To which I received another explanation that I would still have to wait the 7 days before they could cancel my account. I can't even cancel it in person. What do they say in the ads? Hassle free?

First I called got connected to 1 customer service representative that said let me see what I can do and then transferred me to someone else this customer service representative then proceeded to not listen to me when I said I went on the app and elected to pay balance in full on the app. A few days later I get a charge for 150 for interest. So in fact the balance wasn't paid in full so the App is inaccurate you aren't actually paying the account off in full when they add interest on after the fact but you should be a mind reader. Poor customer service and poor app!

Called to get my card replaced, spent 45 min trying to get a half English speaking gentleman to understand me and to verify my identity before nothing would work. Then he transferred me to another guy passing on zero knowledge of the conversation who then pretended he couldn't hear me talking to him and hung up on me. In the end I wasted well over an hour of my life on the phone with them just to not get my card replaced. I closed my account with them over this. They have hands down the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life.

Stolen or sale identity

I have applied on line for a credit card from Capital One on their website and immediately after I have start receiving text messages, phone calls and emails from a lot of different people, companies or sites. Be careful people, they are selling your informations or their site is hacked. I have tried to speak with someone from fraud department who definitely was someone from India or somewhere in SE Asia who asked me to apply for their Identity protection membership! Be aware when you apply for their services!
